Pamela Geller’s website, Atlasshrugs, (a.k.a AtlasDrugs) according to her has been declared a “hate site” by Paypal, though it is not clear whether PayPal has banned her specifically for “hate” or other violations,
Under the Acceptable Use Policy, PayPal may not be used to send or receive payments for items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance or the financial exploitation of a crime.
As far as I am concerned all of the above apply to Atlasshrugs.
Of course for Pamela, the victim, “the Jihad” is to blame,
The little money that Atlas generates (I have no large donors) is about to be cut off. Apparently the jihad is hard at work trying to kill free speech (and the bus ads and the 911 no mosque movement and the book), preventing the truth from making its way to those in pursuit of it. Paypal contributions help pay for bus ads, rallies, live coverage (everything), and I so much as said so when asked repeatedly by the press who paid for the bus ads. Readers do and did.
Paypal is calling Atlas a “hate” site and will close my account if I do not remove the paypal option from my website. Accurate reporting and news is hate.

This image doesn’t really reflect the poor blogger shtick that she attempts to portray. She might argue that the money that allows her to live in luxury came from her husband, Michael Oshry (now deceased), who along with Pamela ran a car dealership that was raided by authorities, initially as part of an homicide investigation that uncovered a tangled web of financial fraud and deceit,
As part of the homicide probe, Nassau County police raided the dealership, owned by auto czar Michael Oshry, and Oshry’s Hewlett Harbor home and seized business records.
Cops found banking records were sent to the house, though the state requires such files be kept at businesses, according to court papers filed in a civil forfeiture action by the Nassau district attorney.
“The dealership knew what was going on,” an investigator said.
Oshry’s lawyer, William Petrillo, said his client “has not engaged in any criminal activity.”
His ex-wife, Pamela Geller, former associate publisher of the New York Observer and a conservative blogger, burst into tears when told her ex is under criminal investigation.
Now Pamela, in her characteristic excessive verbiage is crying that PayPal has called her out for who she is, a hatemonger akin to the likes of Stormfront and other racists/bigots. For their principled stand of not promoting her hate, Pamela now refers to the people at PayPal as “pussies,” and she is asking her readers to join a campaign in intimidating PayPal, while at the same time affording them the “privilege” of helping to fight “the Jihad” by sending a check to her PO Box.
I say to the Loonwatchers, we should respond to this by thanking PayPal for rightfully denying Atlasshrugs their service as long as it continues to be the bastion of far-right, hateful loonacy that it is.

Thank you, i’ll be sending my email to Paypal, and asking my friends to do so too.
I just had an idea Loon Watch, how about you run campaigns like this yourself, and all of us here and our blogger friends can support them.
Well we do hear jokes about used car salesmen and their sales patter, but I guess they underestimated their female counterparts like Geller.
Don’t forget Geller is probably getting funding from the likes of Sheldon Adelson, (the man suspected to be behind the funding of “The Obsession” video) as well as from her readers, though it may well be that the house above is in trust for her children.
Her readers are too stupid to question where their money is going. You can only be scammed time and time againif you’re stupid.
She is always begging for donations, so somehow i don’t think the image painted above of her being “mega wealthy” is the quite the right one.

Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, had this, to say about Geller being shut down, He is spot on. Well said Charles. He files his blogs on Geller under “wingnuts”.
By the way, does anyone know how influential Charles Johnson’s blog is? His site doesn’t look like much..it’s just a blog platform, as on WordPress, He deserves better than he has now, why doesn’t he get a proper website? Even his commenting system is a cock up of blank bored writers dropping one liners, who contribute little to his blog posts.
Some of his posts are great, (don’t agree with all) but his presentation is too “street guy” type
He certainly deserves a bunch of cyber flowers for vocalising the below

Today the wingnuts are overwhelmingly falling in line to support Pamela Geller, spewing hatred at PayPal for shutting down her account (because she’s using it to promote hatred), and accusing PayPal of being part of the global jihad.
The pathetically ironic part of all this yelling and whining: these are the same people who insist that businesses have an absolute right to deny service to anyone for any reason.
The fact is that there are plenty of good reasons to make the judgment that Pamela Geller promotes crazy hate speech, racist groups, and conspiracy theories; her main targets are Muslims, but many of these reasons have nothing to do with Islam, radical or otherwise.
For example, her bizarre racist accusation that Barack Obama is the illegitimate child of Malcolm X. Or her promotion of Birther theories. Or her association with far right fascist parties in Europe, such as the Belgian Vlaams Belang, the BNP-linked English Defense League, and the neo-Nazi-linked Pro-Koln group. Or her outrageous support and whitewashing of murdered South African neo-Nazi leader Eugene Terreblanche.
I could continue listing examples for a very long time. She’s been dealing in hate speech and extremism for years.

A hearty thanks to PayPal for doing the right thing. PayPal prides itself in preventing such things as identity theft and (financial) fraud, and the Shrieking Harpy is at least guilty of intellectual fraud, so it makes sense to shut down her account!

Originally, Paypal didn’t threathen Geller with closure of accounts they mereely told her to TAKE THE PAYPAL LOGOS OF THE TWO WEBSITES that were promoting hatred.

Geller has done that. Atlas Shrugs and her SIOA website don’t have the logo of Paypal, instead she is using Gpal, which is another payment provider.
At Atlas Shrugs, Geller is proclaiming that Paypal caved in, and will re-instate her accoutns, but that is not what they threatened. They merely told her to take the logo’s down and she has.
Also, there is no evidence of what she is claiming from the emails she published, except her so called phone conversation where a paypal agent asked her to stay with Paypal in her follow blog entititled
“Paypal Called, Paypal Caved.” In this post she states to her readers
“Needless to say, I am not going back. I told her that, too. She wished I would reconsider. But, no. I am sticking with Gpal — the G stands for guns
The real story is that we stood up and the weasels backed down. We will fight each battle this way.”
Does anyone see what’s going on here? She is pretending that they told her that they would close her account. But that is a lie. She is saying this so she can claim victory. My guess is so that her readers won’t become dissillusioned and stop donating.
Could it be, that she is lying to make her readers think that that Paypal caved in? After all, legally Paypal can’t discuss her account with other people so she may think she can get away with saying that Paypal caved. So Geller knows she can lie and get away with it.
This is probably, what she did. She phoned Paypal, pretending to be grieved that they were closing her account, when the reality is that they didn’t. They merely said to take the logos down from the sites. Paypal then probably told here
“we are not closing your account. just take the logos off your sites.”
This sleight of hand means that Geller could then brag to her readers that “paypal caved”. If Paypal reads her blog post, proclaiming victory, they can probably write off this lie, by thinking
“Geller thought we were going to close her accounts. We reassured that we won’t”
Once again, here are the facts:-
Paypal demanded that their logo’s be taken of SIOA and Atlas Shrugs. They did NOT threaten Geller with closure of accounts. Geller says that Paypal caved in, and said they won’t close her accounts, but that she is leaving them anyway, and getting Gpal. She then goes on to say that it was a victory for her readers.
Do you see what’s going on here?
I think maybe CAIR got their words mixed up, and Geller is using this to turn it around to make it seem like she won. When in fact the battle wasn’t over the threat of closure of account, that is not what Paypal threatened. Paypal demanded she take down the logo’s.
In other Geller has lost, because she is now using Gpal, not Paypal. But CAIR made a mistake, when they said that she was threatened with closure of accounts. She wasn’t.
I think Loon Watch should do another post about Gellers deceptive lie. The sleight of hand here is mind boggling.

Anybody who has a Paypal account, will know that a “restriction” can be placed anytime there is something that Paypal want to discuss with you. A restriction doesn’t mean “closure”, it meerely means that you cannot do anyting with funds in your account, till you have done what they ask you to do (usually a rectification)
In this case, payapl wanted the logos taken down, Geller did take them down, and is now using Gpal, therefore Paypal didn’t close her accounts. But she cannot use the Paypal payment method on her two sites.

Israel isn’t dependent on the West as it has nuclear missiles. If the West turned against it it would doubtless “do a North Korea”.
Iran, Hezbollah and other anti-Zionist forces may be becoming strong enough to defeat Israel conventionally, but all that means is that the next all-out Arab-Israel war will be nuclear.
Another point – is the right-wing propaganda version of Reagan at odds with the actual man? Reagan never ordered an invasion of Iran, and he ended the Cold War peacefully (despite the hawkish rhetoric he used to maintain the loyalty of his jingo followers).

Israel cannot do a North Korea, becauase North Korea doesn’t have a large diaspora, nor does North Korea claim to be a democracy, nor does North Korea claim to be on the “front line of defence”, nor trade…and i can go on and on. There is no comparing the two.
The nuclear option for Israel is only as a last resort (revenge). Even that may work for North Korea, but Israel has her disapora to think of.

Paypal didn’t close Geller’s accounts and originally said the accounts were under review until the logos were removed from her website and Paypal was no longer being used for donations. They asked her to stop using the Paypal dontation buttons at her two hate sites. She has complied with that. She is now using Gpal, which is another service.
The facility being restored is a red herring. She has done what Paypal wanted her to do.
