Jewish Designated Terrorist Group to meet at Ground Zero; what if they were Muslim?

(Read the whole piece at WhatIfTheyWereMuslim.com)

On Sunday November 7th at 3:30 pm, followers and supporters of Rabbi Meir Kahane from Canada and America will gather at Ground Zero ostensibly to rally against “political Islam.” Why is this important news for many Americans who consider Ground Zero a sacred site? Because Rabbi Kahane is the founder of the villainous Kach Israeli political party, a group on the U.S. State Department’s official list of terrorist organizations.

A little background on Mr. Kahane: he was a hardline ordained Jewish Rabbi who advocated the removal of Arabs from Palestine in order to create a homogeneous “Greater Israel” modeled upon Jewish religious law. His slogan is “every Jew a .22.”

Widely denounced by other Jews as a racist, he gained worldwide infamy when one of his followers, the notorious Baruch Goldstein, perpetrated the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre, wherein Mr. Goldstein brutally gunned down dozens of Palestinian Muslim worshippers who were praying inside the Abraham Mosque. Another one of Mr. Kahane’s followers is on trial in Michigan for shooting an Arab man in an act of road rage.

And British activists in the Kahane-inspired Jewish Defense League have cozied up, ironically enough, with the thuggish English Defense League despite their attachment to the violent neo-nazi outfit Combat 18. In short, Mr. Kahane is something of a folk-hero for extremists bent on Jewish domination of the Holy Land at the expense of indigenous Arabs and Muslims, including Arab Christians. In a few weeks, Mr. Kahane’s followers are bringing their message of hate and racial supremacy to Ground Zero.

I repeat: supporters of an officially designated terrorist organization that advocates an unforgiving expansionist religious-political ideology are meeting to honor their racist terrorist leader on the site of the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history.

Stereotyping Jews or any group because of the actions of an extremist fringe is deeply wrong. But this situation begs the question: what if they were Muslim?

Imagine, if you can, the thunderous firestorm that would be unleashed if supporters of Al-Qaeda gathered at Ground Zero to honor Osama Bin Laden. The scene would be too ghastly for words, with 24 hour cable news coverage, politicians on both sides of the aisle lining up to score points for condemnation, and Muslim-bashing bloggers having a field day. All of Islam and all Muslims would bear collective guilt for their actions. Muslim leaders across the country would denounce terrorism only to be told that they have not denounced terrorism enough or that they are secret stealth jihadists. It would be said, “Where are the moderate Muslims? Why do they not condemn terrorism?” And Steve Emerson’s fear-mongering-for-profit operation would continue to rake in millions. You get the picture.

But as for Mr. Kahane’s followers, we aren’t going to hear a peep out of Newt, Palin, Spencer, or Geller. We will not hear Bill O’Reilly speaking down to Jews on his show about their “Jewish problem.” And we will not hear the same chorus of outrage about the holiness of Ground Zero or the sensitivities of 9/11 victims’ families.

Why? Because these particular terrorists are not Muslims. It is as simple as that.

  • @Justin,

you’re right and it’s quite a nuisance. However, it’s hard to let their stupid accusations and claims stand without a rebuttal, out of fear that somebody (most of all they themselves) think that they are true.

But fret not, them not sticking to the point only shows that they are incapable of addressing the main message of the post. What a surprise…

  • “@ SPHINX;Unfortunately, there is no strict Montheism in Islam.”

Islam is defined by its monotheism. “No God but God” is Islam’s mantra. You will have Muslims disagree on just about anything you want, but there is one thing

And if you are claiming that Islam is not strictly monotheistic, why did you scream “SHIRK!! SHIRK!!!” just a while ago? You can either mock the strict monotheism of Islam or you can deny it exists. But only a confused idiot would do both simultaneously.

“At one stage,Mohammad permitted the worship of Al-Uzza,Al-Allat and Al-Mannat as well beside Allah but later blamed poor SATAN for whispering those verses to him.”

Garbage. And for somebody who constantly proselytizes for Christianity, you have quite some balls displaying sympathy for “poor Satan”.

“Secondly,Monotheism means nothing,if you worship only the one false god,who could not manifest itself through any evidence of miracles or prophecies which prove to be true.”

We worship the one God who created the heavens and the earth, who created mankind to worship him and build up this world, who sent Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed and all the others (PBUT) to mankind with a message, who created Jesus without a father and enabled him to speak in infancy, heal the sick and raise the dead, who gave Moses the power to part the sea and save his people, who delivered Noah the message of building the arc, who delivered the mighty Qur’an through the illiterate Mohammed, containing prophecies and verses that man could not have known at that time… The list goes on. What were you saying about miracles?

Your accusation of ‘worshiping a false god’ is bunk. Which is “the real God”? The one of the bible, the one who sent Jesus to save mankind? Well yeah, that’s the one we mean. So your point is…?

“The pagans also worshipped one and only one god”

Funny, you yourself mentioned three different coexisting pagan gods just a while ago.

“… who were their rulers like Egypians,Greek or Roman gods which were not the God Almighty-God of Abraham,Issac and Jacob. Please follow the only truth, which could set you free from the bonds of ignorance, intolerance and insanity.”

There were periods in Egyptian history where monotheism was prevalent – e.g. under Akhnaton’s rule. Sure, such gods were imagined and worshiped differently than how we do today. But let’s say, hypothetically, that some random Egyptian pharaoh commanded his people to worship one almighty God who created the universe and life, and cannot be grasped by human senses and is therefore to be taken as a somewhat abstract and omnipresent entity. What makes that any different from how we understand “our” God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

Hence, to us there is a rudimentary definition of what God is, and anyone who worships one God (and none else) according to that definition, no matter how you want to call him, worships “the” God that you and I believe in, IMHO. So it makes absolutely no sense for you to accuse me of worshiping a false God, when we have a highly similar understanding of who he is and what he has done.

Or in other words: You’re an idiot.

  • Justin

HalalPork and JihadBob throw us off track when we should be discussing the double standard employed by media pundits who are selectively outraged by Muslim terrorists but not other terrorists.

  • jihad bobs dad

Small sausage its spelt salat, not sallat.

  • You’re full of crap Mr Pork…

No, Mohamed never gave authorization to worship any other than God, where do you get that idea? Another hallucination again? Even prior to his revelations he disliked the polytheism.

You also put a lot of emphasis on the so called ‘satanic verses’, I find that rather weak. Is that the best you can come up with to ‘disprove’ the Qu’ran? Your comparison to a court of law is incorrect, a judge would not throw someone or their evidence out based on one statement (unless it’s one of your kangaroo courts), if they did then it would be impossible to prosecute anyone!

Next, you waffle on about Egyptians, pagans and whatnot, again a topic you seem to have a limited grasp on. None of those groups really accepted the idea of their being just one God. I’d go into more detail about this topic, examining it’s implications and so on but I feel it would be wasted on you since you’ll just ignore it.

You also speak of God not being God… erm, right… so you think that God doesn’t exist? What a confused fellow you are… I expect you are saying that only God in the Bible exists, let me give you some advice, ‘He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones’, i.e. your position that ‘God is the one in the Bible’ is just as fragile as you accusation that ‘God mentioned in the Qu’ran is not God’. Think about it.

You finally go on about ‘the only truth’ which, once again, is laughable. Not the ‘truth’ itself but the fact that you believe that after reading your junk that someone will even consider what you’re writing!

    Peace Be Upon You

  • @ SPHINX;Unfortunately, there is no strict Montheism in Islam. At one stage,Mohammad permitted the worship of Al-Uzza,Al-Allat and Al-Mannat as well beside Allah but later blamed poor SATAN for whispering those verses to him.Sir.SALAMAN RUSHDI mentioned about that in his novel titled :THE SATANIC VERSES:Hence all those riots, the world over. That makes the divine Inspiration of Quran doubtful. If you appear in the court before a judge and admit that the one statement you made was based on a lie, your future evidence will be considered unreliable and you would be thrown out of the court.Secondly,Monotheism means nothing,if you worship only the one false god,who could not manifest itself through any evidence of miracles or prophecies which prove to be true. The pagans also worshipped one and only one god who were their rulers like Egypians,Greek or Roman gods which were not the God Almighty-God of Abraham,Issac and Jacob. Please follow the only truth, which could set you free from the bonds of ignorance, intolerance and insanity.

  • An understatement indeed Cynic…

Yes, ‘pedophilia’ was ‘normal’ at that time because, as has been said time and time again, people died younger and therefore married younger. The average age at death for most of history has been about 35 years old, hence to marry and have kids at a young age was to be expected and it is what your ancestors have been doing for generations, it was not just in the ‘arab’ world, it was everywhere. For example in the UK the legal marriage age was 12 years old until just over 100 years ago (in France and parts of the US it still is). So do you want to condemn your own ancestors for ‘pedophilia’? No, that would be stupid because they were only doing what was ‘normal’, the same with Mohamed. Are we clear now? Logical enough for you? Because if it’s not then I think you have a comprehension issue…

I have no idea why you are bringing up Sodom and Ghomora, it isn’t relevant at all. I am aware of the story, I have read the Bible thanks, but again, relevance? And there have been no ‘victims’ of Mohamed or Islam thanks, you don’t have to feel sorry for us. We will be praying for you, or at least I will be.

Finally, The Sphinx makes a very good point you should address, if indeed you can, I expect you will ignore it.

    Peace Be Upon You

  • A major one.

“The Quran through out says:Obey Allah and Mohammad:That makes Mohammad equal to Alla.Is that not SHIRK?”

So you’re saying that strict monotheism means to obey God and disobey everybody else, even God’s messengers? To quote a certain Halal Pork: “I simply can not comrehend [sic] your logic.”

  • Cynic

Would it be an understatement to say that Halal Pork is an idiot?

  • @ Jack Cope :I simply can not comrehend your logic. You mean to tell me that paedophillia was quite normal in Arab society at the time of Mohammad.Hence ,he also practiced it.Then, why do you revere him equal or above Allah? The Quran through out says:Obey Allah and Mohammad:That makes Mohammad equal to Alla.Is that not SHIRK?.God destroyed Sodom and Ghomora, because of the common practice of Sodomising but allowed Lot and hif family to escape.Paedophillia is a henious sin against children. Why did not Mohammad escape and leave that country to lead a righteous life? I feel sorry for you because you are the first victims of Islam and Mohammad of Arabia.May God open your spiritual eyes, while there is still time.Do you know, what happened to Sodom and Ghomora?Read the book of Geneis.
