Walid Shoebat: “Kill them..including the children”

Walid Shoebat

Walid Shoebat was one of the first loons that we took to task at our site. We exposed his buffoonery and epically vile shysterism. Now, Shoebat has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar of hate once again, this time advocating the murder of “extremists” and their “children” by which of course he means all Muslims.

Counter-terror ‘expert’ tells cops: Kill militant Muslims, ‘including children’

(RAWStory)

A counter-terrorism consultant told a meeting of law enforcement officials that the way to combat militant Muslims is to “kill them … including the children,” says a news report.

Walid Shoebat, a self-described“former PLO terrorist” who “now speaks out for USA and Israel,” reportedly made the comment at a speech during a conference of the International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association in Las Vegas this past October, according to the Huffington Post’s Chip Berlet.

The comment highlights growing concerns among human rights advocates that US law enforcement is turning to extremists for training in the fight against terrorism. It also highlights concerns among senior counter-terrorism officials that standards for counter-terror training are inappropriate, and possibly harming national security.

According to Berlet’s anonymous source, Shoebat’s comments got a warm reception from at least some of the people attending the conference:

Our source had turned around after Shoebat’s speech and asked the woman in the chair behind them at the conference what she thought was the solution offered by Shoebat.

“Kill them … including the children … you heard him,” was the full response.

Shoebat’s Las Vegas speech was described by our source as “frightening.”

Religion writer Richard Bartholomewdescribes Shoebat as “a pseudo-expert on terrorism, Islamic extremism, and Biblical prophecy, and he teaches that Obama is a secret Muslim and that the Bible has prophesised a Muslim anti-Christ.”

In a lengthy investigation of the US’s intelligence apparatus earlier this month, the Washington Post reported that “in their desire to learn more about terrorism, many [police] departments are hiring their own trainers. Some are self-described experts whose extremist views are considered inaccurate and harmful by the FBI and others in the intelligence community.”

The article also notes that standards for counter-terrorism officers plummeted in the years after 9/11, as law enforcement agencies scrambled to refocus on the terror threat.

“The CIA used to train analysts forever before they graduated to be a real analyst,” Charles Allen, an ex-CIA official and former head of the DHS intelligence office, told the Post. “Today we take former law enforcement officers and we call them intelligence officers, and that’s not right, because they have not received any training on intelligence analysis.”

As David Neiwert notes at Crooks and Liars, this is not the first time Shoebat has found himself at the center of controversy. In 2008, he was accused of falsely claiming to be a former Muslim terrorist who converted to Christianity. Skeptics of Shoebat’s claims point to the fact he is not wanted on any arrest warrants in the US, as a known PLO terrorist ought to be.

Earlier this year, Shoebat was one of the speakers at an unofficial memorial for the soldiers killed in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, an event described by some reporters as being anexercise in Islamophobia.

In comments at the Huffington Post, Michael Riker, head of ICTOA, which sponsored the Las Vegas conference, defended Shoebat.

“What you hear from Walid is the TRUTH,” he wrote. Speaking about the Las Vegas conference, Riker said “the attendees were glued to what Walid had to say and the majority of them agreed. The liberal media is afraid to hear what the truth really is. Who has been planning attacks on our country? We are in a war of ideology and if you don’t know that you need to get you head out of the sand.”

    Outstanding.

If a Muslim were to say such things, thereligionpeace.com would spare no time in plastering such a sermon all over their home-page to show “that the militants get their ideas from mainstream islamic society”.

When the Taliban and their Al-Qaeda gonnish spin-off’s clearly don’t.

They hate the Muslim Brotherhood and regard all non-Sunni’s as guilty that should be killed.

My mother watches this idiot and actually believes what he says. I really feel sorry for her when she dies and doesn’t go to heaven. False teachers are everywhere and when you have someone that tells people that the only way that their going to combat Islam is by killing the children as well then we turn into the thing that we hate and we will be up for war crimes, all thanks to this idiot.

    Latest Walid Shoebat:

One more “ex-Muslim” that wishes his former friends and family to be nuked. “But Christianity is a religion of peace, honest!”

  • DrM

Since Shoebat is calling for violence, isn’t it about time he be charged with inciting murder? Oh wait, never mind.

@BMD aka Muslim Zionists aka Christian Zionism exposed aka Wikifreaks,

LOL!!!! Trying to pick a fight again. You’re a glutton for punishment. I thought you were off in some corner licking your wounds after the last trashing I gave you. Your personal attacks have become more abusive, which is great because it shows how badly defeated you were in our last encounter. You tried so hard, with lies, personal attacks, denial of history and your usual 1000+ troll accounts, yet failed miserably as you always do. You can post under as many names as you want but your humiliation will always stay with you, you pathetic Zionist gate keeping skunk. Let’s see how you SUPPORTED Shoebat’s friend and fellow Islamophobe Masimo Pallazzi :

When I exposed your lies you ran off, just like I knew you would. I’m fairly certain now that you are not a Muslim. I have yet to see anyone else on this site who does as much damage control for “israel” as you do. The stench of hasbara is all over you. Zionism will be exposed, ALL of it(not just the mindless Christian Zionist shabbos goyim).
Oh, and my challenge(from the link above) to you still stands. Now instead of running away and then talking behind my back like a butt hurt coward why don’t you(or any your 1000+ troll accounts) take me up on that challenge? Whats the matter? Afraid? You should be as I have a long history of flattening mendacious Zionist miscreants like you.

@ eslaporte December 29th, 2010 at 11:13 am > Thanks for putting the basic truth out there.
There appears to a be a “pull up the ladder Jack” & kick the latest immigrant community, especially by insecure members of the community that arrived just prior to them or are competing.

@ Sourin > At least you have the basic decency to admit an error of judgement, real Haters don’t.

I can’t believe that such open incitement to hate & murder of a whole community is not subject to the law of a civilized nation.

  • Someone over at Muslim Matters called Mostapha S., wrote this yesterday, he was spot on about Shoebat, but why did he link to Debbie Schlussul, Islamophobe to make his point. There is plenty of material at Loon Watch or other worthy websites for any Shoebat buster.

In any case, it wasn’t Schlussul who first exposed Shoebat. Really, you’d think the likes of Mostapha would know better!

By the way, when is Loon Watch going to feature Schlussul again?

Remember Walid Shoebat, another pioneer of the Muslim “terrorist-turned born-again Christian” industry? He’s also being exposed as a fake and an anti-Muslim crusader for money by some of the fiercest enemies of Islam who have obviously concluded that supporting such a blatant fraudster is more damaging to their cause than not using him. Another Walid, Walid Salameh, is treading a similar path, being exposed as a fake PLO member.

  • NassirH

    Your comment to Sourin,

“First of all, most White Americans aren’t as you claim; most are decent and hard-working people,”

One can be hard working, decent AND still be ignorant. Certainly the underclass of the US is concentrated in the red states, where the likes of Shoebat propogate their nonsense. It has a receptive audience due to their ignorance. That was the gist of Sourin’s poorly presented message.

The paddy workers in the rice fields in Thailand are ignorant but ththat doesn’t mean they are not hardworking and decent.

    Sourin

“All I maybe hinted at was that the same stupidity is giving rise to the paranoid culture that we’re witnessing in the USA. The same stupidity allows folks to feel up your junk as a “security measure,” and gives rise to the islamophobic climate.”

whatever substantive points you made, were eclipsed by your style and choice of language. But in any case, you’re right, it’s a fact that ignorance contributes greatly to this problem because only the ignorant can be brainwashed.

It is also a fact that the USA has a large ignorant population that ranks well below the average in knowledge, and has a much bigger gap between the rich and poor than in most developed countries, certainly more than in Europe.

  • Mosizzle

Why does the same idiot post under numerous names? Seems very suspicious…

  • and NassirH, another phenomena peculiar to the USA is that the rise in Islamophobia is soley due to media incitement, not the actions of american Muslims. That is not the case in Europe. The normal trend would have been be for Islamophobia to water down after 9/11 but it’s actually rising and it’s not due to Al Qaeda attacking America or the actions of American Muslims who are well absorbed into society, but due to media incitement, coming from AMERICAN Islamophobes, not European

But nearly half of Americans, 46%, said they held unfavourable attitudes towards Islam – compared with 24% in January 2002.
    —————
there are many more links at Loon Watch to illustrate this, you must have read Max Blumenthal’s “The Great Islamophobic Crusade”
    ————–

So i’m really curious to learn why you and others believe Europe is more Islamophobic (bearing in mind that the US is a country of immigrants) than the the USA ………please enlighten

  • NassirH

“Secondly, Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment is greater in many European countries than in the United States.”

Again all indications are to the contrary. Racism and integration problems are not Islamophobia. Europe generally has a problem with immigration and social set up there, leads to xenophobia against new minorities and immigrants being marginalised. What some Muslism report as Islamophobia is actually racism, or social problems experienced equally by other minorities, including white minorities for example the immigrants from East Europe.

Moreover, in Europe, xenophobia against other minorities, is just as rife as against Muslims, that is not the case in the USA where Islamophobia is increasing, and where Muslims don’t have integration problems.

The European media in general is not Islamophobic. That is not the case in America. Plenty of proof for that, heck even the loons featured here are nearly all American.

Please bring your evidence that Islamophobia is worse in Europe than in America.

What if I were to ask you, why when American Muslims are well integrated, and the US is a nation of immigrants, is Islamophobia growing instead of decling after 9/11? In a recent poll 58% of Americans expressed hostility to Islam compared to 50.4% of Europeans. In the USA, the problem is peculiar to Muslims, in Europe, the problem is not limited to Muslims.

    Europe: Anti-Semitism Up, Islamophobia Down
    muslimmedianetwork.com/mmn/?p=5541

For the first time, the study also compared xenophobia among European countries like Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Poland, and Hungary. According to their findings, the level of prejudices against minorities in Europe is alarming.

About 50.4% of the population agreed that “there are too many immigrants” in their country, 54.4% believe that “the Islam is a religion of intolerance.” Interestingly enough, the percentage of people who believe “that there are too many Muslims” in their country is especially high in those countries that actually have a low percentage of Muslims living in them.

US poll reveals majority opposition to ‘Ground Zero mosque’, widespread animosity towards Muslims

While the poll revealed that prejudice toward Muslims is widespread, respect for other religions traditions remains sturdy.

  • NassirH

Regarding your comments to Sourin about anti Muslim sentiment being greater in Europe,
    you said:

“First of all, most White Americans aren’t as you claim; most are decent and hard-working people, just like the majority of the world’s population.”

Well the skin colour is irrelevant, African, Chinese, Indian Islamophobia exists in the US. Allen West isn’t white. and whats that Indian Hindu who is also running on an anti-Islam platform for the GOP, so Sourin is out of order here,

That said, most Evangelicals are white, though this is not a “white” problem, it should be borne in mind that the group below who are the bedrock of the GOP are the same group who believe in white supremacist idealogies akin to the KK, that Jesus was blonde, and they were the same group who resisted banning slavery……

The 2010 Elections and the deep history of American antipathy towards Islam
    By Shalom Goldman

In his timely and perceptive book, American Christians and Islam, Kidd insists that there is something unique about American antipathy to Islam that differs substantially from earlier American Protestant campaigns against Catholics, Jews and other religious minorities. Arguing that “the recent American Christian hostility towards Islam derives from a long historical tradition,” Kidd points out that even before the American Revolution Anglo-Americans were predisposed to hostility towards Muslims.

Two elements were chiefly responsible for the hostility: the widespread notion that all Muslims had to be brought to Christianity and the rampant speculations about the End Time that saw Islam as the Antichrist. Humphrey Prideaux’s 1697 book The True Nature of Imposture Fully Displayed in the Life Of Mahomet was printed and preached about many times in the American colonies. As Kidd sees it, an imagined Islam became the foil which American Christian legitimacy and ‘authenticity’ challenged.

In the mid-nineteenth century the American Protestant call to ‘Evangelize the World’—a call linked to emerging American Imperial power aspirations—met its greatest challenge in the Muslim world. In a 1906 meeting in Cairo twenty-nine American and European missionary groups met to plan “the Evangelization of the Moslem world in this generation.” A follow-up conference in Lucknow in 1911 called for the Christianization of the Muslims of India.

More recently, the 9/11 attacks, according to Kidd, “Re-energized those familiar themes of Muslim conversions and Islam’s place in the end times, two themes common in American Christian rhetoric, even before the American Revolution.” And while he doesn’t dismiss the powerful effect of the 9/11 attacks on American public opinion, Kidd takes the long view, tracing the continuity of these anti-Muslim attitudes from the Colonial period to the neo-colonial present. Referring to Jonathan Edwards and other influential thinkers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries Kidd notes that, while the aspersions against Islam have recently generated outrage among liberals, “There was a time in America, however, when such ideas about Islam would not have generated any outrage, for they reflected commonly held interpretations.”

Islam-bashing in the run-up to the elections and the increasing number of attacks on American mosques needs to be understood against this broad historical background. But, as noted earlier, the fear-mongering during the election cycle was not uniformly successful.

  • LaRoja

He is not an expert. He is a fake hate-mongering bigot who knows nothing he is talking about.

  • Sourin Mahbub

    NassirH:

I’m sorry for sounding racist there. I’d want nothing less than to be called out for such stupid generalizations. I definitely could have worded that much better.

The complacency rising from the pervasive belief in American exceptionalism coupled with the astounding level of stupidity was what I was getting at. Of course white Americans are hard-working people. That’s why USA’s history took the course that it has. By white Americans, I meant the people who are running the show and controlling their zeitgeist. But it has reached a plateau. And they have become intolerably stupid. I guess I expect them to be something better than they are presently. I apologize for that too.

Where did I mention anything about who is more islamophobic than whom? Is there a measurement for islamophobia? It’s certainly no secret that Europeans are more educated in geopolitical knowledge than Americans.
All I maybe hinted at was that the same stupidity is giving rise to the paranoid culture that we’re witnessing in the USA. The same stupidity allows folks to feel up your junk as a “security measure,” and gives rise to the islamophobic climate.

Also, there’s no point in ruminating about my “reference” to viagra. It was obviously a metaphor. Apparently a poor one but a metaphor nonetheless. But instead of nitpicking at exaggerations you could maybe have addressed the point, if you did see it. Otherwise, it’s not the first time you’ve posted something just for the sake of it.

  • Abdullah

I have to agree with NassirH. Aren’t we sort of stooping to their level of name-calling and making broad generalizations? I just call it as I see it, and I’ll call out somebody on “our” side as well, if need be.

  • KnowingTheTruth

What? Why is he still getting attention? I thought he was exposed many times for his fake stories about his life. I guess stupid evil people still want to believe in his fairy tales.

  • NassirH

Usually, I don’t respond to Sourin Madhub’s or BMD’s or Muslim Zionists’ comments, but seriously, this latest post is very stupid (no offense intended). First of all, most White Americans aren’t as you claim; most are decent and hard-working people, just like the majority of the world’s population. Secondly, Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment is greater in many European countries than in the United States. Thirdly, the reference to Viagra was very bizarre. Need I go on?

  • Sourin Mahbub

I don’t think Walid here is the problem. The problem is the lack of an audience capable of processing the opinions promulgated by people like him.

In contrast to native Europeans, white Americans are mostly a bunch of drooling, knuckle-dragging, retarded sociopaths. They lack the ability to empathize with an opposition and this is exactly why dialogue will never, ever work with them. They do not realize or cannot deal with the fact that very few issues these days bear black-or-white solutions. The American society is such that it encourages ignorance, sociopolitical myopia and general stupidity.

This is why the American empire is going down. I don’t think any other empire had or will have succumbed so inevitably, so slowly and so pathetically. USA is like a big penis that’s slowly becoming flaccid after the effects of viagra has subsided.

Pathetic bastards like Walid Douchebag and all of his butt buddies like Robert Spencer, Glenn Beck and our very own “halal pork” and “JihadBob” keep bitching and moaning about some creeping sharia law, while the Chinese and Vietnamese are slowly moving up in global relevance due to sheer hard work, creative enterprise and intellectual curiosity.

    Here’s to dimsum jihad!
