Pamela Geller
Pamela Geller was on Fox Business News, or as some know it Circus TV advocating her wacky conspiracy theories. Her response might have elicited the Pamela Geller Quote of the Year or at least a candidate (the year is still young),
“Well Bob, there is conspiracy theory and then there is conspiracy fact, there is a global Jihad, (mumble)…Robert Spencer’s book, (mumble), there is a stealth Jihad, there is a war and you can avoid reality Eric but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.”
Pamela Geller, Bob Beckel, Eric Bolling and others on Fox Business/Circus News:
Islamophobia Today has a good rebuttal of the tripe from Geller on this subject:
Pamela Geller: Islamophobia/Arabophobia
Written by Admin of IslamophobiaToday.com
Pamela Geller’s Islamophobia has gotten so bad that she assumes the Arabic language is inherently “radical Islam” despite its existence well before Islam. By this, she is implying that Arabs are only Muslims. I am not sure if Geller forgot or if she is plain ignorant but there are more Arab Christians in America than Arab Muslims:

Based on Zogby International Survey (200)
Not only does Geller exalt in her bigotry against Islam and Muslims (as the website LoonWatch has documented), but she is clearly manifesting her racist tendencies:
Good job, freedom lovers. You fought back against mandatory Arabic Classes in Public Schools in Texas.
“It shows how we mischaracterized, we willfully misunderstand Islam. Yes, on the face of it, yes, Arabic is a language. In a sense there would be no difference between opening a foreign language school — a Spanish language school or a french language school — but in fact Arabic is more than a language. It is explicated the language of Islam, so in that sense it is part of the Islamic religious imperial project. Radical Islam advances through the Arabic language. And you go all kinds of places that aren’t in the Arab world now, like Pakistan, Indonesia, Central Asia, the Balkans, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Canada and the United States, and you will here those Imams preaching in Arabic. Arabic is not just another language like French or Italian, it is the spearhead of an ideological project that is deeply opposed to the United States.”
In Geller’s post, she selectively quotes from Mandatory Arabic Classes in Public School In Texas, omitting the fact that Arabic is not only the language being taught at the school:
The University of Texas, working with the Mansfield district, identified Cross Timbers Intermediate as a target since 10 percent of the district’s Arabic-speaking population attends the South Arlington school.
“The federal government sees Arabic, Chinese and Russian as critical,” Escovedo said. “Our country has a deficit in Arabic speakers and people who understand the Arabic culture.”
The Mansfield district also offers Chinese and Russian, among other languages. Students may begin taking language classes in middle school to fulfill their high school requirement of two years of foreign language.
Geller does not make any comment about learning Russian, Chinese, or any other language, but for some reason, Arabic is the language of terrorists. So her logic, or as I like to call it the Gellerian/Spencerian logic is as follows:
1) Muslims are Evil
2) They speak Arabic
3) Arabic is Evil
The semi-coherent ramblings of the uber-racist Pam Geller once again, betray her false claims towards being an advocate of freedom, equality, and justice. For Geller, Arabic equals Islam and Islam equals total absolute evil and therefore by extension Arabic speakers are likewise evil.
Arabic is a rich, classical language like Latin and Greek, branding it as an ideology is beyond ridiculous, it is a call to prepetual ignorance where by Geller wishes to deprive the coming generations of an experience that not only will enrich their lives, increase their knowledge but will also prove useful in their future careers. In reality what she is afraid of is the normalization of Arabs and Muslims in American society, and she will go to any lengths to ghettoize the former.

Wow. Just wow.
As always, Geller leaves us all speechless. Let’s not even talk about the sermons at Arab Churches, or Synagogues in Arabic countries that are also in Arabic. Let’s just understand that Geller is a fool.
And you wonder why Imams preach in Arabic? Ask Catholic priests why some of them still have Latin masses?
For your information, Geller, the Imam says the Khutba in Arabic as it is the Sunnah of the Prophet. It is then translated and read once more in the local language for the non-Arab members of the congregation to understand.
February 15th, 2011 at 12:11 pm
Okay, now this is just idiotic. It is also a textbook example of the non sequitur logical fallacy. ie: Muslims are evil, Muslims speak Arabic. Hence Arabic is evil.

Brings to mind a video clip I saw one time. A school teacher from a dangerous area–can’t remember if it was Iraq, Afghanistan, or NW Pakistan–was interviewed. He had been teaching a normal curriculum to the rural kids, until one day the Taliban rolled up and told him to knock it off. Geography and maths were not to be taught, they said. And he should also stop teaching ordinary Arabic, and instead only teach classical, Islamic Arabic (which I’m guessing is the rough equivalent of King James Bible English).
February 15th, 2011 at 12:28 pm
Yeah, Sanity Inspector, it seems that the Taliban were highly ignorant. They didn’t understand Islam and the rich tradition of science and mathematics that has existed in Islamic civilisation.
They also banned women’s education, despite Hadiths that prove such an action is wrong.
The irony was that they themselves didn’t understand much Arabic either, meaning that they didn’t know what was in the Quran, only what they thought was in the Quran.
February 15th, 2011 at 12:34 pm
The irony is a lot of people accuse the Taliban of things that they didn’t do.
February 15th, 2011 at 12:36 pm
Oh, dear, I’m an Eastern Catholic. Byzantine-rite, to be precise, when I make it to church. If Ms Geller and her pals are gonna burn a cross on my lawn, I hope they’ll be mannerly enough to call ahead so I can run to the store for marshmallows.
Seriously, I’m trying to figure out if these people should be on medication, or if the displays of looniness are calculated to make their perpetrators money, power, and attention.
February 15th, 2011 at 1:32 pm
Actually, I think radical Islam advances through NOT knowing Arabic, as some things from the Qu’ran can get lost in translation.
“It shows how we mischaracterized, we willfully misunderstand Islam.”
Yes, you do.
February 15th, 2011 at 1:50 pm
Languages have been imposed on people all the time. I don’t think South America’s native language was Spanish before they were conquered, or so many of the African countries have French as their first language.
This woman is getting more and more despicable by the day, and Robert Spencer is even worse for continually defending this evil woman.
February 15th, 2011 at 1:52 pm
I think we all need to email Fox News and demand that the evil Pam Geller NEVER be given air time on their show to air her racist rabidly anti muslim hate speech.
February 15th, 2011 at 2:00 pm
Here’s pamela on Berlusconi
“Berlusconi is unique. The left says terrible things of the Italian PM. They deride him because ….he loves women. I am down with that. Kevin Jennnigs and all that jazz is OK, but a virile hetero? No go.”
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2010/02/during-visit-berlusconi-draws-parallel-between-ahmadinejad-and-hitler-or-was-that-the-muftisame-diff.html.
Lets just say we’re very lucky Berlusconi is not an Arab, a Pakistan a Turk or any other Muslim nationalities.
February 15th, 2011 at 2:27 pm
I think it should have been offered as a choice, along with other languages. I do wonder about any group that takes Pam seriously
February 15th, 2011 at 2:37 pm
yeah that sounds really hard to do considering we use arabic language in mathematics, and there are words that many would be suprised are actually arabic in origin according to a book I have “the complete idiots guide to understanding islam” the english language has according to the book 10,000 words with origins in arabic. the book has samples of words such as according to the book words like sofa from the word sufa, or magazine from the word makhazin, so with that geller should not only advanced mathematics such as algebra but alot of what probably consist of the english language today which will likely turn americans into people who cant be taught how to use division because the symbol is arabic in orgin and will somhow turn you into a terrorist.
February 15th, 2011 at 2:43 pm
Hebrew Schools are allowed in Tehran. And many consider Iran to be anti-semitic.
So why should Arabic schools not be allowed in the USA, especially since it is a country that is considered to be open and tolerant.
February 15th, 2011 at 3:00 pm
i think pam gellar is actually a liberal trying to destroy the conservative movement from within
February 15th, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Sanity Inspector:
There’s not as much difference as you would think. It’s not like the KJB or Shakespeare compared to modern English prose, for example. I can, for example, read either a newspaper or something written over a thousand years ago with relative ease. The only issue may be one of vocabulary having a slight difference or change in meaning from Classical Arabic to Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), or perhaps some obscure issues to do with grammar, which are largely irrelevant except for the specialist.
Here’s a simplified example to give an idea:
The MSA word for telephone in Arabic is “hatif”. “Hatif” is also found in Classical Arabic, but in this case means something like a “disembodied voice”; i.e. a voice that can be heard but where it’s coming from can’t be seen (perhaps because of an obstruction, or the distance etc.).
If you think about it, this is exactly what a telephone is – it’s a disembodied voice usually from a long distance away. Though I would imagine seeing “telephone” in a pre-Medieval Islamic text would be quite surprising!
February 15th, 2011 at 3:08 pm
So according to Geller, I’m in love with someone who has an untrustworthy language (she is both Arab and Muslim, possibly one of the nicest women I’ve ever met)? very loon indeed. Just because Arabic is challenging, doesn’t make it inherently evil – that’s ridiculous.
February 15th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
I believe she thinks all Americans are stupid and believe whatever wacky conspiracy theories she tells them.
February 15th, 2011 at 3:39 pm
STUPID idiot
February 15th, 2011 at 4:15 pm
HAHAHAH.. “MOSQUEING OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS”……. HAHAHAHAH
February 15th, 2011 at 4:54 pm
pam ghoul up to the usual stuff i see i bet her parents did not anyone speaking german
February 15th, 2011 at 5:48 pm
Huh?? Guys, OF COURSE you may call yourself an expert on Islam while not touching its primary language with a 60-foot pole.
(At least in Shrieking Harpy logic, you can…)
February 15th, 2011 at 7:18 pm
Sanity Inspector…
You wrote this…
“Brings to mind a video clip I saw one time. And he should also stop teaching ordinary Arabic, and instead only teach classical, Islamic Arabic (which I’m guessing is the rough equivalent of King James Bible English).” (complete post)
You ‘supposeldy saw a vid where a teacher was told not to teach children math or geography, and not to teach ‘ordinary Arabic’, but the ‘Islamic Arabic’.
Just a few questions.
First, do you speak the language where this vid supposedly took place? Since you claim you dont remember where it took place…BUT you claimed that the vid might have taken place in Iraq, Afganistan or Pakistan. So, if you could speak the langage of the supposed vid, you would have known where it took place. In Iraq, most people speak Arabic or Kurdish. In Afganistan, most people speak Pashto or Dari. In Pakistan, people speak Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Sarakili, Sindhi…but most people speak Urdu.
Do you see the problem with credibility here?
Of course, you will say that they spoke in English. So tell me how an uneducated ‘Taliben’ man spoke English when he shuns education. Then there are subtitles. How can you belive ‘subtitles’ when you have MEMRI translating them.
You know…come to think of it, maybe that is why Pam Geller doesnt want Americans to learn Arabic…and it makes sence when you put into light how the American PEOPLE supported the revolution in Egypt.
The Egyptian people were able to express themselves in English. It was vary hard for the loons to make a credible case for opposition against the people in the street, so they made up a fear about the Muslim Brotherhood taking over. Israel wasnt able to MEMRI the revolution, so they also did the Muslim Brotherhood song and dance.
Pam Geller doesnt want people to be educated in Arabic because she knows that she cant MEMRI the truth. She…for the exact same reason the taliben want people un educated…so they wont ask questions, and mindlessly accept the propaganda, buy the books, watch Fox/Sky News, and they can spread thier evil ideology without opposition.
February 15th, 2011 at 7:46 pm
Oh but the Stealth Jihad has already infiltrated Israel with the revival of the Hebrew language in its modern form via A-R-A-B-I-C ! Hebrew was primarily a liturgical language & required a living Semitic cousin to fill in the gaps.
February 15th, 2011 at 7:49 pm
How can any rational/decent human being be against something he or she is so ignorant of? Only hatred that exists inside the heart and mind of such a character dictates the ugliness of what his or her mouth says.
Pamela Geller acts,in the show as presented here,as a desperate liar who is hoping that some of her lies about the Arabic language,Arabs,Islam and Muslims would, somehow, influence some of the listeners. But,at least, the facial expressions of the gentleman who sat next to her right had indicated,to me,that he was uncomfortable with the hatred she rapidly spouted off her ugly mouth. That is good news. One may extrapolate accordingly!
Emperor has quoted Escovedo saying,”Our country has a deficit in Arabic speakers and people who understand the Arabic culture.” That has certainly proven to be so in Iraq.
Such a statement by Escovedo neutralizes all the fraudulent patriotism Pamela Geller, and her ilk, hide behind to spread her/their hatred and bigotry against Islam,Muslims,Arabs and Arabic language. Pity!
February 15th, 2011 at 8:01 pm
Damn, this moron makes herself look more paranoid every day. Also shame on Fox news for giving someone like Geller a platform. It reminds me of when I asked my Dad why there’s so many crappy newsources in Pakistan, he replied, “What do you think Fox News is?”
February 15th, 2011 at 8:14 pm
I’m with “jawad”. Are we SURE that Pam’s not being paid off by CAIR (or the Muslim Brotherhood
) – to make Islamophobia look so absurd that people will just naturally embrace Islam in reaction?
February 15th, 2011 at 8:47 pm
Oh boy, I just watched the video and about 30 seconds in I see Ann Coulter’s mug. Did you hear how she pronounces “Muslims”? It sounded exactly like, “all terrorists are Mooosslims”. This is the same loon who said, “We should invade their [Mooosslims’] countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity”.

I used to hear my mom say that a person’s deeds reflect on his or her face. I noticed as I saw the video, that Pamela’s face is increasingly becoming more horrific.

Algebra is evil. Chemistry is evil. We have to go back to using Roman numerals, and we can’t ever, ever use a zero…
February 16th, 2011 at 12:56 am
Linear Algebra is my favourite subject. I hereby tell anyone who is anti algebra to “go forth and multiply” but not in those exact words.
February 16th, 2011 at 2:51 am
Mashallah look at pamela geller’s face. She resembles a ghoul by the day.
February 16th, 2011 at 4:13 am
Pamella Geller is obviously totally separated from history and reality. Arabic was already there in the Arab penynsula thousands of years before the advent of Islam. It was the language of Prophet Ishmael the older son of Prophet Abraham. Before the advent of Islam the Arabs were underdeveloped in many ways, but their Arabic was so advanced that they became the most eloquent people on earth. they were unmatched poets. They used to gather in the markets challenging each other with their poems and poetry. The most important poems of their time were so sacred to them that they hung them on the Ka’aba. They went to the extent that the leaders of their tribes must be great poets.
The Prophet of Islam Muhammad, was not a poet. he lived among them in honesty and kindness for 40 years without composing one single poetry. Due to his honesty and good character they called him the trustworty.
Allah knew that the pagan Arabs were excellent in composing poetry, so He descended the Koran upon the Prophet in a divine Arabic language. What they read of the Koran was not poetry or prose, but a divine language challenging them to imitate it but they couldn’t. That’s why they acussed Muhammad with sorcery and magic.
Yes Pamella Gellar, divine Arabic is the language of the Koran, and Muslims who don’t speak Arabic must learn Arabic in order to understand their religion and feel the beauty of the rithm of the Koran. What’s so strange about that?
Each meeting you participate in shows nothing but your ignorance and hatred to Islam. Time will come when you will realize that by your ingnorance and senseless attack against Islam you are but pullung the rope tight around your neck. Because of your ignorance you miss the fact that in the end you are but defying your Creator, the one who sent Noah until Jesus till Muhammad with only one Message: I am you God, worship me alone and associate not with me any partners. Allah’s wrath is upon you in this life, and His curse is upon you in your grave, and in the Hereafter you will be roasted in Hell. But don’t worry, you will have in Hell other partners; Robert spencer, Bill Warner, Daniel Pipes, Pat Robertson, and the like.
February 16th, 2011 at 5:52 am
@Nur Alia,
You nailed it. “Sanity inspector” has exhibited similar dishonest buffoonery in the past.
All jokes asides, I genuinely believe plastic Pam is mentally unstable. Pipes tried something similar with his lies against the Khalil Gibran academy years ago. Ironic that these judeofascists don’t see how close Arabic and Hebrew are.
Zionism really does rot the brain.
February 16th, 2011 at 8:59 am
English words of Arabic origins ( small example ):
1. Alchohol
2.Cotton.
3.Algorithim
4.Algebra
5.Alkali
Note: The greatest Greek “scientist” Ptolemy say the solar apogee is fixed and the rate of pressesion is once in every 100 hundred years.
Any decent 1st year student in astronomy know this is wrong. =)
February 16th, 2011 at 9:23 am
Good points, Dr El Guindy, but I would refrain from condemning her to hell. As Muslims, we should leave that part to God.
All of these Islamophobes have a tendency to take comments out of context, so we should all be careful with what we say.
February 16th, 2011 at 10:25 am
Pam, what about German, the language of Hitler?
February 16th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
Dr.Mohsen El-Guindy,
Your post about the Arabic language is absolutely superb. I whole-heartedly agree with every word you have written about it.
Very recently, and on my own website,I have written about the language of the Qur’an the following, and I quote word by word of what I have written:
Quote
======
~ The written language of the Holy Qur’an is NOT classical Arabic.
~ The written language of the Holy Qur’an is NOT Arabic poetry.
~ The written language of the Holy Qur’an is NOT Arabic prose.
~ The written language of the Holy Qur’an IS QUR’ANIC ARABIC,meaning: no other forms of the Arabic language and its various and grat literatures fit to frame the written language of the Holy Qur’an in any one of them.
Please note that the writer of this column/essay used the word “Holy” repeatedly in the foregoing. That has been done deliberately for support in making the following comments:
* Moses had changed part of the Red Sea into land to save his people from slaughter. That was a miracle made by Moses.
* Jesus Christ had made the blind see,had healed people with leprosy and even revived Lazarus from his death. These are miracle made by Jesus Christ.
* The Prophet Muhammad had not done miracles similar to what Jesus and Moses did. But Muhammad’s miracleis, indeed, the fascinating Qur’an whose language is mesmerising when it is chanted collectively by a group of prayers,or sigularly by an Imam or Mua’zen like Bilal. Because of that and all of the above, the use of the word “Holy” in describing the Qur’an has become fully and fairly justified since the written language of the Qur’an sounds so divine.
Unquote
=========
I have held the foregoing views and tried to articulate them in writings and in debates the best I could, since I fell in love with the beautiful Arabic language and all facets of its rich and great literatures. That was 40 years ago.
Thank you for vindicating my views by your superb post,on this thread, about the Arabic language. Much appreciated.
Note: I apologize for any spelling mistake I make or I have already made. Because of shortage of time,(I post on three different websites and run my own website),I have no time for editing what I write. I trust the readers’ intelligence, and above all, understanding of what involved.
February 18th, 2011 at 7:39 pm
It is amazing to me that such a divisive person is given so much credibility by the media. She is constantly on television giving interviews of hate and spreading her nasty views on air, mostly unchallenged by the hosts.
How a person who says the President is an illegitimate child of Malcolm X and claims to have naked pictures of his mother is allowed on television is beyond me. If she was saying these hateful things about other races, religions and cultures, she would not get the time of day.
I wish this bikini-wearing blogger would just come out and say why she says the things she does. She is yet another person who claims to be a patriotic American, while representing only the interests of Israel. Hmmm, maybe that’s why she on television all the time.
