The last we posted about Hasner he was sitting in rapt attention to a speech from Geert Wilders.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Adam Hasner appeared on a Sarasota conservative talk show today, echoing previous comments on the dangers of Sharia in the Sunshine State by saying there is a “civilizational jihad” underway across the country and in Florida. Audio after the jump.

Hasner made the comments on The Dr. Rich Swier Show, hosted by Red County blogger Richard Swier. “We are not in a War on Terror,” Hasner said. “This is a civilizational struggle against an ideology of Sharia Islam.”

“It’s not just a threat on foreign soil,” he continued. “It’s also a threat from those who seek to destroy us from within. And we have a problem of domestic terrorism both in the violent form as well as in the civilizational jihad that we’re witnessing here in our own country and our own state.”

so hasner has yet to respond to the show producer’s request, but i wouldnt expect him to be willing to face someone who knows what they are talking about. chris slick of ACT contacted me and i challengec his prophetess of doom gabrielle. she declined. so sad these “experts” are only willing to face hacks like anjem chaudry or those with poor english skills.

The islamophobes are good at word games where words are demonised using distorted meanings after which the true meaning itself gets demonised. Maybe we need an article listing out the tactics of islamophobes : “the art of islamophobia”.

Rick Parry, your governor, is pressing the flesh with a loon group called “Focus on the Family.” If you’re as old as me, you might remember them from the Reagan years, when they were affiliated with armed militia groups who wanted to establish a whites only Republic in the Pacific Northwest. Kind of jihadist, dontcha think? And why isn’t Peter King investigating them?

Some of their stranger beliefs include: killing all the Native Americans and confiscating their lands because they didn’t adopt an acceptable brand of Christianity fast enough; Roman-rite Catholics are the “whores of Babylon” and can’t really be defined as Christians, so one wonders what they think of Byzantine-Riters like myself; oh, and when their revolution comes, women will only have the civil rights that men decide to give them, and I do remember reading that Margaret Atwood novel.

Hm… the more I read about GOP candidates, the more I feel I should just drop out of college and run for some political office… oh wait, I’m Muslim. I’ll have to prove that I love America. And once I prove that I do, I’ll have to prove that I’m not lying… and then prove that evidence of my telling the truth was also not a lie.
