OC GOP Removes Islamophobe Deborah Pauly from her Post as Vice Chair

Last night, the Republican Party of Orange County Central Committee voted 47 to 16 in favor of removing Deborah Pauly from her post as First Vice Chair of the OCGOP.  The motion to remove Pauly was brought on by OCGOP Chairman Scott Baugh stating that Pauly’s behavior has been divisive, vulgar and has caused much distraction and division within the Republican party.  At 9:28pm, the votes were announced and Pauly was officially removed as First Vice Chair.

Minutes from last nights Central Committee meeting are captured here.

A year ago, Pauly called local Muslims “terrorists” and was quoted saying she knew “quite a few marines who would be very happy to help these terrorists to an early meeting in paradise.”  The Villa Park City Council adopted a weak statement distancing itself from her comments.

    @Muslim Heritage.com
    because he wants to be on the same council that pauly just got fired from.
    he is gonna say whatever he can against muslims because the yorba linda repubs are very whitebred racists. The other communities that make up the OC repubs ie the Newport beach yacht club repubs and the westminster asian american repubs..they don’t really care for islamaphobic candidates , and they wisely see the long term damage that it will wreak upon their party. but unfotunately those GOPers, who in times past were laughed at for their fringe ideas( i guess you can call them Ideas), have risen to the top temporarily due to the rise of the tea party.
    I know these folks, they wont last because like pauly, they live in fantasy land. and guys like Scott Baugh and Tom Fuentes ( Allah Yerhama), are the types that have practical sense, and their type of leadership will prevail. ( cause the money don’t come from the whackos..it comes from Newport Beach and Westminster)

    @John C. Drew, Ph.D , @Muslim Heritage.com

    minorioties have a tough time in any country.

    @John C. Drew, Ph.D Please elaborate what you saw “first-hand” in egypt. Take in mind that you are not talking to a bunch of mindless conservobots that will believe anything. Instead realize you are speaking to people, myself especially who could literallty be a tour guide for you in egypt, so in other words Lying about something to try to prove a point or some sort of anecdote you heard from someone who heard from some one will not work.
    For the last 30 years at least the copts have enjoyed a special protection by the state. there have been some very ignorant and unjustifiable actions against them by a very intorent minority. that same intolerant minority has caused the same tupes of injustices to those they view as not “muslim” enough. So please mr. Phd, lets move beyond black and white here.

  • Browntruck

    Ph.D.? Reading above comments by the Ph.D. seems conclusive proof that:
    B.S. = well, everyone knows…
    M.S. = More of the Same…
    Ph.D. = Piled Higher and Deeper

  • MC

    Some sense is going into the GOP thank God.

    @John C. Drew, Ph.D
    everybody in orange county is sick of hearing about your phd.
    We also know that you are an annoying self promoter.
    And now you have made it obvious that you don’t even know history.
    I love armenians, they are great people. very honorable.
    what the secular non-”islamofascist” Trukish regime did to them was a horrific crime. and i am , as well as many of my armenian friends, glad that they were so well accepted in to the Arab world. so much so rthat in the areas like Syria and lebanon and palestine they became a productive and positive part of society. They appreciated the welcoming arms of the Muslim Arab world that they fought side-by-side with arabs against the zionists.
    So doctor Drew, you need to go check your own history.
    Maybe you are a french Armenian like Serge and you never had much exposure to the realities of your people.
    good luck with your upcoming election, bozo

    Lawrence of Arabia

    everybody in orange county is sick of hearing about your phd.

    What do you mean? Is Drew known in your state? What’s his Phd in?

    Oh and he does have a valid point about Christian persecution in Egypt. Drew, there are people working against that problem. Right now, there is a lot of poverty in Egypt, and to be honest, with your kind of rhetoric you’re not helping the Copts there.

    All people like you do is fan the flames of bigotry. Why don’t you do something beneficial for improving Christian/Muslim relations?

  • Garibaldi

    That’s nice John, you took a trip to the “Orient” like your missionary predecessors. Now you give us a tale and an anecdote of your travels, maybe you will even recount your tales in the fine Occidental tradition of writing “Travelouges” of exotic places, peppering it with another fine tradition of missionaries, announcing the severe plight of Christians at the hands of tyrannical Mooslims. Maybe you will do like your predecessors and also call for intervention in these places? All the better to spread the light of Christ, right?

    I’m sure through the sin of omission we will not hear what Pope Shenouda had to say about the place of Copts in Egypt, i.e. he said they are “not persecuted.” However who needs an Arab, Coptic Christian Egyptian’s voice when the one of John C. Drew, Ph.D will do.

  • http://www.muslimheritage.com Muslim Heritage.com

    I see everybody saw fit to ‘tu quoque” the Drew guy, Phd, but nobody saw fit to tell him that the Turks didn’t target the Armenians because they were Christian, and they Muslim, but because the Armenians had been helping the Russians against them.

    Drew, the Turks were not ‘Islamofascists’, in fact they were secular, and there is a difference between using religous overtones, and being religous. Saddam Hussein an atheist baathist used religious overtones to rally people to his cause. Religon is a common enough tribe solidifier, if nothing else works, UK/Ireland is a modern day Christian example.

    Drew, that’s called Treason, in a comparable situation today, any American citizen who helped anyone your army was fighting against would get the death penalty for treason wouldn’t they?

    Hopefully, you’ll see light. You’re using the same bigotry Robert Spencer uses.

  • John C. Drew, Ph.D.

    Lawrence of America. My wife and I recently visited Egypt and saw the mistreatment of Christians at the hands of Muslims face-to-face. (I spoke at the Bible Society of Egypt for a three day seminar.) I don’t think you understand how much fear Christians living in Egypt live with every day. As I’ve said, it will take a lot of extra work for folks to convince me Islam is a Religion of Peace.

    Good riddance Pauly!

    Dr. *giggle* Drew,

    Are you going to call Brevik “Christianofascist” or just “crazy”?
    What’s the difference between him and Al Qaeda? If you sympathize with Brevik then you sympathize with Al Q. Think about it Doc!

    Not forgotten or forgiven unfortunetly ,those people are dead ,living with such hate for dead people and blaming their children over a political genoside seems more than a little sad dont you think?
    I found this elsewere on the net
    “Augustine 25 is the pseudonym for John C. Drew, Ph.D., a contributor at American Thinker and David Horowitz’s FrontPage Magazine”

    John C. Drew, Ph.D.?? Says: I think it is more fair to say Pauly is an Islamorealist. My Armenian family was among the first Christian groups in 20th century to be murdered by Islamofascists. I haven’t forgotten…

    Lol, Mr ‘PH.D.’, giving how smart you seem to be. And since its Fun-Fun-Fun! to blame Islam for everything Muslims does, I’m sure you’re among the only ones realizing as-well that Osama Bin Aden too thought of himself as Western/Christianorealist. As I’m also sure you probably realize as-well that Millions of Iraqi and Afghan families to be among the first victims in 21st century of ‘Christianofascists’ like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Blair and the rest of your favorite western fascists, don’t you think?. Oh! and as smart as you are to blame Islam for the bad deeds of some Muslims, do not forget to include in list-of lets-all blame religions for all the bad deeds of their adherents, the Judeorealists Palestinians battling Judeofascists in the ‘holy-land’, easy as 1-2-3, isn’t?

  • DrM

    @john c. drew,

    Actually Pauly is an far Right extremist, and functionally retarded Islamophobe, and so are you. Your “high speed writing” seems to run on a fairly low IQ. Using your “PhD” level illogic, Muslims have the full right to hold uncharitable, and outright hostile views towards all Christians for the mass murder of over a million Muslims by Anglo-American Christofascists just in the last decade alone. And we’ll call them ChristoRealists. We haven’t Iraq either. How’s that sound to you, porky?

  • Umayr

    @John C. Drew, Ph.D. Huh? What do you mean?

  • jawad

    John, im very sorry to hear about your family. What happened to your family is a tragedy and is not something to be forgotten.
    However, muslims have been murdered by christians just as christians have been murdered by muslims. It has nothing to do w/ either of the religions
    and muslims today shouldnt be blamed for what happened to your family in the 20th century.
