Bryan Fischer’s Stealth Creeping Christian Law: Government Should Mandate that Everyone Go To Church and Tax Those Who Don’t

Posted on 06 July 2012 by Emperor

Make sure to leave your Sunday mornings free, TiVo that football game you will likely miss, because very soon, once the stealthy, dominionist Christians take over government you will be mandated to go to Church, and those who don’t face a tax!

Bryan Fishcer, (a man who shared the stage with Texas governor Rick Perry not too long ago) believes he is speaking in accordance with the Constitution and the vision of the founding fathers, because we know how keen they were on theocracy! (h/t: CriticalDragon):

Fischer: Government Should Mandate that Everyone Attend Church and Tax Those Who Don’t

(Right Wing Watch)

Inspired by a suggestion from a listener, Bryan Fischer hit upon a brilliant idea on yesterday’s radio program: using health care reform to mandate that everyone attend church and assess a tax on all those who don’t.

As Fischer explained, “people who have an active, vibrant spiritual life are healthier” and since “Obamacare is all about improving the health of the American people,” we ought to “mandate that you go to church for your own health and we are going to tax the atheists who don’t go to church”:

    I don’t agree with what he says but I don’t think he’s really serious. I think he’s just upset with the requirement that we buy health insurance from a private company or face a fine (or tax). Personally I favor the Medicare for everyone idea. (I guess I’m quite a bit to the left of Obama!)

    How much value do you place upon a non-serious ‘Christian’ proposal compared to the madness of sharia and jizyah !?

    I agree with Hassan: Bryan Fischer is so disgusted with the individual mandate in the Health Care Bill, that he was using sarcasm to express that disgust. Since the Federal Government can pass a bill mandating that everyone purchase health insurance, with a penalty (now being labelled a ‘tax’ rather than a ‘penalty’) being assessed against those who don’t; why not just pass an individual mandate requiring everyone to attend church, and assess a ‘tax’ against those who don’t?! Surely such a requirement (church attendance) would be beneficial to people’s health! :roll: (Except for those who get so irritated at the nonsense they hear preached that they get ulcers and migraine headaches, of course. :grin: )

    That’s Mr. Fischer’s viewpoint, not mine. But I don’t believe even Bryan Fischer could be such an idiot as to be serious about such an idea. Of course, I may be mistaken; he IS quite a nutcase!

  • Hahaha

    He is crazy in a funny way , lets not take this clown seriously.

  • Hassan

    It seems clear to me that he’s providing a tongue in cheek analogy for the health-care bill.

    @mindy1

    Unfortunately, Fischer does appear to be serious.

    Is he serious???? :shock: What if you are a minority faith, will you still get taxed?? Who is listening to him???

    @Emperor

    Thank God the United States Constitution doesn’t support people like him, and in fact is an impediment to what people like him want.
