CPAC Turns Away Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer and AFDI

Sept. 11, 2010 - Manhattan, New York, U.S. - Blogger PAMELA GELLER speaks as thousands attend a rally and protest against the construction of the Muslim Cultural Center a few blocks from the World Trade Center on the 9th Anniversary of the attacks of Sept

The height of Spencer and Geller’s influence was in the summer of 2010 when they succeeded, along with their cohorts, in making Islam part of the Conservative movement’s “culture wars,” most notably with the so-called “Ground Zero Mosque.”

Fast forward to the present and even CPAC is turning Geller and co. away–according to

For the last four years, Pamela Geller of and the American Freedom Defense Initiative have held events at CPAC featuring guests she invites to discuss the influence of Islamism on America. But this year, the American Conservative Union (ACU) has no room for Geller or her message.

The Breitbart article casts Geller in a positive light, but what do you expect from one of the leading portals of the Tea Party. It seems the Conservative movement still has a long way to go to reconcile with the present reality of the USA.

Spencer is worst than Gellar. I think most people can easily dismiss Gellar as an Islamophobe and a loon, and unlike Spencer, Gellar doesn’t portray herself as an expert/scholar on Islam. Spencer on the other hand gets a free pass. He is more dangerous than Gellar in spreading hatred and bigotry, remember his writings have incited violence and terrorism against innocent people in Norway and elsewhere.

  • All that whining and she didn’t even bring up the fact that Norquist is married to a Palestinian Muslim?

See, guys, slowly but surely, Pam *is* slowly becoming a respectable human being!

  • That kid really is angry. Hopefully non of geller’s followers will do something similar to a human being in response to them kicking her out.

  • Mooneye,

Unfortunately it doesn’t sound like the group did this, because they rejected here bigotry. Base on what Charles Johnson has written it sounds more like she just ticked off the wrong people.

Trouble for the republican party is that it is cleaning up its act too late and too slow . I predict years in the wilderness comming up .
A very Biblical 40 years might just do the trick . 🙂

  • True story: The first time I ever encountered anything related to Pam Geller online was a site whose name I now don’t remember a few years back (when I first started becoming interested in Islam – and, as a consequence, was brought into contact with its nastier critics). It was your typical ‘counter-jihad’ site, but what unfortunately caught my eye was a cross-celebration with Atlas Shrugs, the blog, that was holding some sort of event that week – or perhaps day? The details are fuzzy – and I followed the link. This didn’t prepare me for the fact that it was Mrs. Geller, in a bikini, celebrating her ‘freedom’ from not having to wear a niqab/burqa.

Never have I been so eager to close a window that involved a scantily clad woman before.

In that picture, she looks uncannily like Michele Bachmann

The leader of a San Bernardino County Republican club is being

Vera Eyzendooren, president of the San Bernardino County
Federation of Republican Women, accused a San Francisco attorney who is
running for a leadership role in the state party of being a terrorist
sympathizer, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Dhillon is chairwoman of the San Francisco Republican Party and a
candidate for vice chairwoman of the state organization. The party will
choose its leaders at its spring convention in Sacramento this weekend.

The Facebook post has been deleted but the Chronicle included a screen grab of Eyzendooren’s comments.

was told by one of Harmeet’s friends that because of her religion, her
loyalty is to the Muslim religion,” Eyzendooren wrote. “So she will
defend a Muslim beheading two men without any hesitation … she is not

Dhillon is a Sikh who emigrated from India as a child.
