For the foreseeable future any potential candidate that the GOP fields will very likely have associations with the Islamophobia industry, this was the case with both George W. Bush and Mitt Romney.

Enter Rep. Peter King, friend and supporter of terrorists (as long as they are his kind of terrorists) and the anti-Muslim movement in the USA who is considering a run for the White House in 2016.

While it is improbable that he would get the candidacy, crazier things have happened–like Sarah Palin.

WASHINGTON — This King is thinking about becoming President.

Rep. Pete King of Long Island, a Republican who has served 11 terms in Congress, said Thursday he’s weighing a run for the White House in 2016.

“I’m going to look at it. I will go on speaking out on the issues, see who enters the race, and take it from there,” King said.

King has a history of flirting with higher office. He weighed entering the 2000, 2004 and 2010 races for U.S. Senate. And he eyed a potential campaign for governor in 2010.

There is a reason why Peter King will not seek higher office. He only has enough support to win in his little fiefdom. He does not have mass appeal or support outside his area.

I am born and raised in Long Island. Where he is from is a very Republican district. Any Republican can win against a Democrat there. It just so happened to be him all those years.

That is why he can say the crazy things that he does. His district is non-competitive. He can afford not to be moderate. He can shoot from the hip all he wants and toe the party line and he will be okay.

Fortunately when you run for the White House, you need broader appeal. Aside from being a loudmouth hypocrite about terrorism, he really does not have a record of major accomplishments. He never came out with major legislation that was important.

This is why the overall Republican Party keeps losing more and more in elections. There mouths have done them in. They have alienated so many people because of their extreme ways. They are not seen as a party of inclusion. Latinos are illegals. Blacks are criminals. Muslims are terrorists. Immigrants are evil and don’t speak the language.

The problems is that they need these groups to win elections. White people do not just vote Republican. You need broader support to win.
Peter King knows this. That is why he never ran for the Senate. New York is, overall, a Democratic state. He is too extreme to win those elections. That is why he has stayed in his safe little district all this time.

I am sure he will explore possibilities again, but I have a feeling he is not leaving Long Island any time soon.

With Peter “let have a hearing on Muslims” King running for president & Ray “stop and frisk” & “profile all Muslims” Kelly running for head of Homeland Security one has to wonder what is seriously wrong with US media & politicians to allow such absurdly racist and bigoted individuals to be praised instead of being ostracized

He can run for it all he wants, as long as he doesn’t catch it.

You’re right. I should have said “is bad enough” My mistake

    “Was”?

He’s still in Congress. He assumed the seat for New York’s 2nd congressional district on January of this year.

With the power vested in me I would like to offer you the title of “Nawab of the Audio Visual Department of Muslamic State of Affairs”. ;P

    Emperor,

If the Republican Party does nominate him, by chance, we should actively campaign against him. I don’t want him in White House, it was bad enough when he was in congress.

  • CriticalDragon1177

At the very least even if he does become president, there’s very little chance he’ll be able to do that.

Now, if he’d only learn to spell and to talk coherently, he might just be a good choice…
