Law used to detain David Miranda frequently targets Muslims

As has been reported, Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald’spartner David Miranda was detained at Heathrow airport this weekend, in London under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Greenwald, famous for exposing the National Security Agency’s (NSA) mass surveillance project, described the treatment to Miranda as both “despotic” and an attack against journalism. “It’s bad enough to prosecute and imprison sources,” he stated. “It’s worse still to imprison journalists who report the truth.”

Partner….oh my…anyway Gren has gone overboard with the Snowdedn issue as reported of LGF.

  • Last year, Greenwald told (part) of the truth about the terrorism industry. He doesn’t call himself a critical terrorism theorist, but these observations have been observed by critical theorists for years.
It’s actually a government terrorism expert class that always speaks for the interests of the government it serves whe it comes to “terrorism.”
After I read this – Greenwald became my hero!

We are going to find that there will be more watchlists and more freedom of movement hindrances for those of us who speak out against “war on terror” abuses.

True and now it looks like investigative REAL journalists are being profiled as well.

How is free press violating US law?

Sorry guys I am Fan of Glen G and his work but for the for the sake of honesty and facts we have to note also that

The Guardian first released this story, it left out many key facts and
gave the impression that David Miranda was a mere tourist transiting
through Heathrow. Greenwald was quick to state on Twitter that Miranda
“was not even a journalist.” Upon more detailed reporting from other
news organizations, including the NYT, The Guardian has admitted that
Miranda was essentially a document mule for Greenwald and was on a
special mission paid for by The Guardian to meet with Laura Poitras and
others responsible for leaking UK-US national secrets. Miranda, in fact,
was ferrying UK-US national secrets between Europe and South America at
    the time of his detention.

Greenwald sends his own husband through Heathrow carrying encrypted
stolen information from another confederate, basically aiding and
abetting violations of U.S. law that is why he was detained

That is pathetic, but I am glad they let him go, too bad it happend in the first place.

    If only he had shaved.

Yeah I don’t see what the big deal is with this story. Muslims, who have never done anything wrong in their life, are detained for 7-9 hours all the time when they travel internationally.
