Thank You to All Those Who Contributed to Our IndieGoGo Campaign

IGG logo
LoonWatch’s IndieGoGo campaign came to a close.  With your help, we were able to raise over $8,000.  We’d like to thank each and every single contributor.  Thank you.  Even though we were unable to reach our goal, we realize that we can’t let down those who did contribute.  Therefore, you will be getting your perk (i.e. my upcoming book) in due time.  We’ll keep you updated with regard to this.

I will be trying my utmost to be posting more regularly on LoonWatch.  I will prioritize the completion of the Understanding Jihad Series, which forms the backbone of The J Word: Jihad, Between Hype and Reality.

Once again, thank you for your support.

(And yes, the pop-up is gone!)

    @Danios

    I’ve written on another article but got no reply. Now that the campaign has ended is there still a way to get an advanced copy of your book?

    Regards, AG

    Absolute shame that this campaign didn’t manage to get to its target. We may not have the money, but we have the truth. Heads up, onwards ho!

    Can this site have a donation category so we can donate whenever we are able to help support you guys?

    Thank you Danios. Hope to see further articles from you here.

    Danios.

    I know another person who is campaigning as well. I post it on here because I know the book is also part of the battle against islamophobia. Suhail Qureshi is a pretty good writer himself. I actually have hung out with him here in Houston. I saw him speaking one time at a mosque in Houston talking about this experience of being held hostage on a hijacked plane for 13 days. It is quite a story. Anyway here is the link to his campaign as well. It just started.

    I have been following LoonWatch for a long time and I am proud of this website. I don’t agree with every view posted on here, but I see the moderators do a great job. I see a load of intelligent people who know how to convey their thoughts in a coherent manner. This is why this is one of the very few places I post stuff on.

    I just came back from my vacation in California and yes, you fell short of your goal, but you have nothing to feel bad about. I have been donating to projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo for years. Books at Indie usually do not raise more than 2000 dollars if they raise anything at all. You guys exceeded the norm by 400 percent at least.

    Keep up the great work. I donated because I have known you to be an expert on the topic and you are a very good writer. Also, your book is very important to battle islamophobia. It is way too prevalent and your book is going to be a great counterbalance to those fools.

    I did let friends of mine know about this campaign and, I know for a fact, at least 6 of my friends donated for sure. Keep your chin up and keep writing. You serve an important role in the battle against the Gellers and the Spencers.

    Danios,

    You’re welcome. I still wish we could have raised more money. Maybe you could try this again. Who knows, maybe next time you’ll do better.
