Georgia GOP candidate Jody Hice: Muslims not protected by the First Amendment

A Republican candidate seeking to represent Georgia’s 10th U.S. House district believes that the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty does not apply to followers of Islam.

“Although Islam has a religious component, it is much more than a simple religious ideology,” Rev. Jody Hice wrote in his 2012 book It’s Now Or Never, according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It is a complete geo-political structure and, as such, does not deserve First Amendment protection.”

The House candidate also believes the Muslim Brotherhood is secretly infiltrating the United States in a plot to impose Sharia law on the entire country, a conspiracy theory he shares with Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Louie Gohmert (R-TX).

Hice tied Mike Collins in the Georgia Republican primary in May, with each candidate getting about 34 percent of the vote. The winner of the July 22 runoff election will face Democrat Ken Dious in November.

Hice has previously said that Islam and the U.S. Constitution are incompatible.

“Most people think Islam is a religion, it’s not. It’s a totalitarian way of life with a religious component. But it’s much larger. It’s a geo-political system that has governmental, financial, military, legal and religious components. And it’s a totalitarian system that encompasses every aspect of life and it should not be protected (under U.S. law),” he told members of the Coweta County Tea Party Patriots in 2011, according to The Citizen.

“This is not a tolerant, peaceful religion even though some Muslims are peaceful. Radical Muslims believe that Sharia is required by God and must be imposed worldwide. It’s a movement to take over the world by force. A global caliphate is the objective,” he added.

This is a completely retarded website with complete fools writing the articles and commentaries. You guys are so retarded you don’t even get what’s happening around you and all over this planet. Jody Hice is absolutely right and you morons are totally wrong.

indeed, people can only marvel at such stupidity

Last time i checked, political parties are not illegal in the US, so Hice shoots him self in the foot again.
Even if islam was a “political ideology” it would be still protected under the constitution and bill of rights.

Its seems like our dear retard Jody, is trying the old trick of secularising islam and associating it with evil words like totalitarian, so he won’t seem like a bigot attacking a religious minority.

700 years ago a secret organization called THE
MOSLEM BROTHERHOOD gathered in a dark room
in a small tavern on the border of Egypt . These is not much know about this organization ,it’s leaders or membership numbers . The
agenda that night was the future take
over of a country which will secede few 100 years in the future from
England. No one knows the exact details of the plan
except a few people . They have started websites like JihadWatch and Atlas
Shrugs to warn everyone. The plan starts
with Kenyan national know only by his initials “BO”. His mother know only as Ms. Dunham had a booty call with Malcolm X as part of a
massive conspiracy, The man father was paid off to claim parentage. This was a
long con plot by the THE MOSLEEEEEEEEM BOTHERHOOD to install its leader and sleeper agent into the highest ranks of
American government . Once President he
will order an amnesty for current illegal immigrants as a backdoor way to
enable hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern Muslims to come to America,
become citizens, and vote in Sharia law.

Projections are the darnest things, aren’t they?

“Hice has previously said that Islam and the U.S. Constitution are incompatible.”

This line of thought has always completely mystified. Even if Islam were ‘incompatible’ with the Constitution of the United States…so what? We allow plenty of ideologies that flat out reject their precepts, or most of them, to have their say: anarchism, communism, fascism, Nazism, etc. None of the usual suspects ever talk about throwing those people in jail or deporting them from the country. Or at the very least no one sane is.

Color me completely surprised self-proclaimed warriors against totalitarianism wish to deploy eerily similar tactics they accuse their opponents of.

    Indeed

  • Reynardine

Basically, it’s Dominionism/ Christian Reconstructionism/ New Apostolic Reformationism, and it’s everything Hice accuses Islam of being.

  • Lithium2006

I don’t think I’d call it Christianity at all. These morons just seem to insert the word Jesus wherever they see fit.

Ah, the old “it’s a political ideology more than it is a religion.” Yes, because nothing says politics like fasting 30 days of the year, attending mosque every Friday, praying five times a day, and the requisite believing in one god, among many other things.

But Let’s forget for a second that even political ideologues are protected under the constitution as well. Using this morons logic, I say conservatism isn’t protected under the first amendment as well, it’s a geopolitical movement, I mean from invading one muslim country to another, it’s also shares eerily similar traits to totalitarianism, patriot act anyone? Intruding upon the woman’s uterus, telling her what she can or cannot do with her body. Also misogynist, hey if a woman gets raped, it’s her fault for showing too much skin, or the classic ” the body has ways of shutting it down” and who could forget the famous “rape is a gift from god.” And how about that hatred for the poor? With all this in mind, we should ban conservatism and jail those who label themselves as conservatives.

See how easy it is to turn this simplistic hatred around?

I wish there could be a law that would prevent hateful morons from holding political office…let them have their beliefs, but they cannot act on them.

Islam has over 1.8 billion followers and has been around for 1400 years. If Islam was truly this ‘geo-political movement’ bent on taking over the world, why hasn’t it happened yet?
