Jews and Muslims: Join or Die!

Sometimes antisemites condemn Islamophobia. Sometimes Islamophobes condemn antisemitism. Should we praise them or should we tell them that they are still racist? Consistent antiracism is to protest against ALL racists, not just some racists.

President Donald Trump has condemned antisemitism. He did it a few days ago, saying the rise in antisemitic attacks are  “horrible” and “painful.” The Jewish community has, with every right, criticized him for being silent about antisemitic attacks for a long time. After Trump spoke out some praised him but does he deserve that praise? Should we praise him, or tell him that he is a hypocrite since he does NOT speak out against Islamophobia?

As a Swede I often encounter hypocrites. They think it is “ok” to talk about nuking Israel but are horrified when a Islamophobe wants to nuke Mecca. Hypocrites that dislike talk about the “Muslim takeover of Europe” but believe “Jews run the world.” Hypocrites that hate when Jews are bullied for their kippah but don’t give a damn when Muslims are bullied for their hijab. Hypocrites who act when antisemitic myths are shared on Facebook but do not react at all when Muslims are accused of the same things.

We can’t praise one-eyed hypocrites like Trump. The obvious answer to him is to ask him to condemn Islamophobia and racism in America.

Look at the alt-right. The extreme parts of the alt-right, like the Nazis or KKK, believe Jews are behind the so called “Muslim invasion.” Mainstream alt-Right, like Breitbart, Jihadwatch and Pamela Geller don’t go that far but they claim that individual Jews are behind it and they demonize them, like Breitbart does to George Soros. If you look at the comment section of Breitbart every time they write about Soros you will find lots of antisemitism. As well as lots of calls to “hang”, “shoot” or “strangle” “traitors” like him.

If the “Muslim invasion” becomes an accepted concept, the Jews WILL be targeted too. Perhaps they already are? What is behind the surge in antisemitic attacks?

Join or die!

In Sweden we have an Islamophobic political party in our government called Sverigedemokraterna. It was founded in the 80s by Nazis. They deliberately choose to focus on Muslims instead of Jews as their enemies, not because they like Jews, but because there are many more Muslims than Jews in Sweden.

Antisemitism and Islamophobia are similar to each other. It is the same kind of racist lore and myths. There are no big differences between the myths about a Muslim takeover of the world (like Eurabia) and the myths about a Jewish takeover of the world (Protocols of Zion). Blood libel myths, myths about Jewish and Muslim sexuality, so-called “inbreeding” and rape are rampant. Myths about them being “violent.” Myths about the Quran and the Talmud, etc, etc. All similar!

A lot of hate is “racism by proxy.” Like when Muslims are accused of being “Islamists” or agents of the “Muslim Brotherhood” or “supporters of Palestinian terrorism,” without any evidence behind the allegations. The debate about the Muslim Brotherhood, for example, is infected with racism. Relevant criticism of Palestinian politics, the MB or extremists is mixed with outright hatred.

The same goes for the debate about Israel.

Join or die!

I know the relationship between Jews and Muslims is complicated, due to the conflict in the Middle East. Since most Muslims one way or the other like or support Palestine and most Jews one way or the other like or support Israel, the conflict tends to separate Jews and Muslims.

But Jews and Muslims have to join, or die! Literally.

But to do so Muslims and Jews have to approach each other with care. The relationship is broken and racist propaganda is not making it easier.

I have a Jewish friend. He is active in the fight against both Islamophobia and antisemitism. But he is a proud Jew that carries the symbol of his faith, the star of David, all the time. Sometimes he carries the flag of Israel on a pin on his jacket too. He was born there. Sometimes he carries both the Palestinian and Israeli flag on his jacket.  The amount of hatred he encounters due to this is big. He gets spit at, yelled at and called “dirty Jew,” “dirty zionist” and “IsraeHell lover” and they point at his nose (“Jews have big noses,” as racists claim).

I have a Muslim friend. She wears a hijab and displays the Palestinian flag openly on her Facebook page. Her father was born in Palestine, in Gaza. She hates antisemitism. Her best friend in New York is Jewish. On her mother’s side her grandfathers in Morocco helped save Jews in World War 2.

She encounters much hate. “Dirty muslim,” “You must be a Hamas supporter,” “you support Palestinian terror,” “dirty Islamist”, “take off your hijab”.

The sad thing is that often the Jew gets bullied by Muslims, or people that hate Islamophobia, and the Muslim woman by Jews or people that hate antisemitism. And often the reason for the hatred is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Jew is bullied because of what Israel does and the Muslim because of what Hamas, or others, do.

This can’t last. The negative spiral of hatred is dragging mankind downwards, deep down the drain. Jews and Muslims have to fight hatred together!

Good Vibrations…good intentions but flowery as usual and bit naive. Issue is not Jews nor Judaism, it NEVER was that. Most of the rabid anti semitism prevalent in the Muslim especially Arab world is a European packaged. The issue is that nefarious illegal state of Israel. 1948 itself. A country that should never been.

Haters Can’t Stand That Muslims Raised Funds To Rebuild Desecrated Jewish Graves

By Garibaldi

Muslim community organizers Linda Sarsour and Tarek El-Messidi, both Palestinian Americans, have raised nearly $130,000 so far to support their Jewish brothers and sisters in Missouri who this past week found the graves of their loved ones desecrated.

“Through this campaign, we hope to send a united message from the Jewish and Muslim communities that there is no place for this type of hate, desecration, and violence in America,” the fundraising page on the site LaunchingGood reads. “We pray that this restores a sense of security and peace to the Jewish-American community who has undoubtedly been shaken by this event.”

This is a great story with deep lessons for solidarity, and proves the lie to the well-worn trope that Muslims and Jews are eternal enemies. Muslims and Jews often unite and lift each other up when targeted: when a mosque in Victoria, Texas was burned down, Jewish neighbors opened their Synagogue to Muslims, handing them the keys. Groups such as Jewish Voices For Peace have long worked with Muslims to push for justice and fight bigotry and racism on all levels. If solidarity is to work a key element is reciprocity.

The trope that Muslims and Jews are eternal enemies was always a falsehood but it has been reinforced by the media for so long that it is treated as a truism. It is sufficient as way of example to highlight how this trope blinded mainstream media reporting on the mass support that Bernie Sanders received from Arabs and Muslims: recall the bizarre shock expressed by journalists and pundits when Bernie overwhelmingly won Dearborn, Michigan.

It is true that due to colonialism, the creation of Israel, the rise of Zionism and Baathism, virulent antisemtic tropes within certain modern “Islamist” political trends, the relationship between both communities ruptured and deteriorated. This can be seen played out in the comments section for this story at Times of Israel, where many of the commenters think it is a gimmick and pour scorn on the Muslim activists. There is quite a bit of sick Islamophobia as well:

Despite the profound manifestation of solidarity displayed by Sarsour and El-Messidi, you still have reports that cast shade on their efforts, as well as the broader Muslim and Arab American communities. The Christian Science Monitor, in their coverage quoted a CNN interview with Rick Santorum in which he diverted attention from the White supremacist threat to Jewish Americans by saying, without any evidence,

“If you look at the fact, the people who are responsible for a lot of this anti-Semitism that we’re seeing, I hate to say it, a lot of it is coming from the pro-Palestinian or Muslim communities,” former Republican Sen. Rick Santorum told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday. “So let’s just lay out that fact.”

Santorum and his fellow Republicans have a vested interest in playing to the Evangelical Christian Zionist base that forms a significant voting bloc for the GOP. Israel is the golden calf that Santorum and company must pay homage to if they will win votes, and so they have gotten good at pandering. To acknowledge that much of the antisemitism in the US comes from conservative Whites sitting in pews on Sunday waiting for the Rapture means their political career in the GOP is over. To acknowledge terrorist White identity hate organizations such as the KKK have increased would diminish the apocalyptic focus on Islam and Muslims.

Demonizing and casting Islam and Muslims as the “common enemy” works all too well, that’s why Trump was elected. It’s easier to blame others than it is to take a hard, critical look at oneself and their own communities role in such propaganda. An all too pliant and weak mainstream media, more interested in “access” and wracked with biases it has helped to foster and perpetuate against Arabs and Muslims is ill placed and lacks the intellectual tools to challenge such dangerous and false tropes.

Adam Purinton Killed Two Hindu Men In Islamophobic Attack

More fall out from the hate that Trump has propagated against Muslims. Two Indian, likely Hindu engineers were gunned down by a racist, Islamophobe yelling “get out my country.”

via. KansasCity.com

Purinton, a Navy veteran, was booked into the Henry County Jail. After the charges were filed, Purinton appeared before a judge in Henry County and waived his right to fight extradition.

It was not known how soon he would be returned to Johnson County.

Purinton allegedly told a bartender in Clinton that he had killed two Middle Eastern men, The Star has learned.

He reportedly told the bartender that he needed a place to hide out.

At least one witness reportedly heard the suspect yell “get out of my country” shortly before shooting men he thought were Middle Eastern. Both men, engineers at Garmin, appear to be originally from India.

Honor Malcolm X Today: Read And Reflect On His Legacy

The greatest Muslim American who ever lived: Malcolm X, was a proud Black man who stared down White supremacy, US societal hypocrisy, violence and colonialism, both mental and spiritual.

It is the likes of him, a martyr, that the Qur’an describes as not truly dead: “And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them – that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” (Quran, 3:169-170)

If you read his autobiography, one realizes why, in his early life, he thought the way he did. Some people don’t understand that experiences in life can change people.

Those comments you listed show that there are many people who don’t know the difference between the Nation of Islam and Islam itself. Maybe they are not willing to admit that people’s lives are a lot more complex than they are willing to understand.

    • Khizer

Yes, there are many reasons Malcolm resented white people in his early life (which you have stated) but he learned to be more accepting and grew as a person later on.

    • GaribaldiOfLoonwatch

People really have to take a step back. Malcolm’s father was gruesomely murdered by the KKK. His whole life, if any of these people bothered to read his Autobiography he struggled against the blunt instrument of systemic White terrorism in the US and they are surprised when he called Whites devils?

He did however reject that notion of demonization and after his Hajj pilgrimage declared his belief in universal brotherhood.

    • Khizer

“Malcolm wanted out of Islam, and that’s why Farrakhan had it done.”

      This fuckin comment, my god!

I may not be that well versed in Malcolm X history, but I do believe he left THE NATION OF ISLAM not Islam itself!

After he went for Hajj or Ummrah, he interacted with people of various races and realised Islam was a religion that accepted various races and ethnicities, not just blacks which he the NOI tried to claim. He then left the organisation (can’t blame him, it’s a black supremacist organisation that believes in wonky conspiracy theories) and I guess became a Sunni.

The NOI didn’t take kindly to his resignation and promptly assassinated him. Tragic….

Milo Yiannopoulos, Defends Paedophila and Hates Gays

Milo Yiannopoulos, senior editor at Breitbart, defends Paedophilia! His claim to be Conservative champion of homosexual rights is untrue. He is NOT. He wants the gays to “get back in the closet”, he hates trans-people and defends paedophilia.

An account called the Reagan Battalion on Twitter revealed today that Milo defends paedophilia. He believes it is “ok” to have sex with 13 year olds.

“You know people are messy and complex and actually, in the homosexual world particularly. Some of those relationships between younger boys and older men, that sort of coming of age relationships.”… The relationships with those with older men have helped those young boys discover who they are. And give them security and safety, provide them with love and reliable and sort of a rock.”

When questioned if he means sex with children he answers, no, only with “sexually mature” young people like “13-year olds,”

“You’re misunderstanding what pedophilia means. Paedophilia is not a sexual attraction to somebody 13-years old who is sexually mature. Paedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty. Pedophilia is a attraction to people who don’t have functioning sex organs yet. Who have not gone through puberty. Who are too young to be able to understand. That is not what we are talking about…”

Quotes are taken from here.

He claims that it is not paedophilia for an adult to have sex with 13 year olds. He somehow believes they are “sexually mature.” But that is what it is: paedophilia.

The original dialogue can be found on youtube: here! In full. The part where he talks about sex with 13 year olds starts at 58:30. The quote on 13-year olds is found at 1:05:05. This not the first time, he has been quite consistent in this opinion having defended adult sex with 13-14 year olds on other occassions.

HBTQ-rights

But don’t make the mistake of believing that the fact that he is for sexual relations between boys and adults mean that he is for homosexual rights. He is not! And… VERY few homosexuals defend paedophila!

Lets look at the claim that Milo is somehow an advocate for HBTQ-rights. He is homosexual, but that does not prevent him from hating Gays almost as much as he hates Muslims.

Milo does not only want to kick out Muslims from the U.S.A, he believes that Homosexuals should be deprived of their rights too, so that America can fight Muslims (!), by breeding more children.

The Muslims are breeding like rabbits and having a lot of children, while the Western world is having fewer children. Therefore gay men, that are intellectually superior (!),  should “get back into the closet,” marry women and, help save Western civilization against the Muslim threat. That is how Milo views the world.

He believes that the 1950s, when homosexuals were jailed and persecuted in the Western world, was a good time, when Homosexuals were “in the closet.” Milos even defend the Russian homophobic president Vladimir Putin by stating that he is right when banning homosexuals.

Online photo blogs from San Francisco’s notorious Folsom Street Fair will do nothing to dispel Vladimir Putin’s hunch that the west has become a decadent mess. Frankly, I would have been less ashamed to be gay in the days when being gay was something to be ashamed of. Gays were classier when they were worried about being queer-bashed.

Children with two dads or two moms have a “cruel” childhood. “Children raised in gay households are more likely to suffer mental problems” and lesbians “are famous for kicking the shit out of each other.” Hardly a positive view of homosexuality.

An example

Lets look at one of the articles Milo has written.

The endless celebration and mollycoddling of homosexuals in the media has transformed the genteel, camp rightsists of the 1950s into brash, glitter-drenched Pride queens. If for no other reasons than manners and aesthetics, we ought to think about shoving the next generation back into Narnia…

In in the 1950s, gay men would “live a lie,” get married and have kids. They’d let off steam in dark rooms and bathhouses. That’s not happening any more: the gay rights movement has liberated queens from societal expectations, so they shack up with their boyfriends and either don’t have children, or adopt…

When I express views like this, I’m sometimes called a reactionary. People say I want to go back to the 50s. And they’re right…  Forcing gays back into the closet also solves the problem of what happens to children when they have two dads or two moms. Children raised in gay households are more likely to suffer mental problems, more likely to end up gay themselves and, if raised by lesbians, almost certain to witness domestic abuse.

So the good news is?

The good news is that gay rights are in the minority, globally speaking. China, India and most of all Russia proudly celebrate the importance of the nuclear family.

You can hardly blame them.

It’s also worth considering the fact that the entire Muslim world is virulently homophobic, so men there continue to reproduce like rabbits….

I hate to exaggerate, but you might say that the future of the West sort of depends on us faggots leaping back in the closet and churning out a few kids.

Freedom to choose?

Muslims should be kicked out of the U.S.A and persecuted, homosexuals should return into the closet and queers should be “bashed.” There is no homophobia or racism against Muslims in the U.S.A. But paedophilia with 13 year olds should be legal. That is how Milo views the world.

Milo often attacks Muslims for being homophobic. But he NEVER attacks his own church, the Catholic Church. Quite the opposite, he claims Christians, as “opposed” to Muslims, are compassionate to homosexuals.

What does that tell us about Milo Yiannopoulos?

Well, Milo believes there is no homophobia any longer in the USA and gets so angry when he hear people speak about it that it makes him want to go out and “bash queers”(2:40). The gentle loving gay “bashing” homosexual Milo? Donald Trump and Steve Bannon have strange friends, indeed!

    AssalamuAlaykum,

My Brother with all due respect this isn’t considered paedophilia (strictly speaking). Milo is write when he clarifies a common misconception in regards to age of consent and age of sexual awareness & maturity. Most people reach puberty at ages of 12 to 15. The average age of menarche for young women is 12. Only a few decades ago it was absolutely legal to engage in consensual sexual relationships after the age of 13 in many states across America and nations across Europe. This was an absolutely normal practise among most pre “modern” societies. In fact the earlier the contract (in marriage) the better. Consummation coincided with parental consent and physical sexual maturity.

Paedophilia is the exclusive sexual attraction towards prepubescent children. This is commonly misunderstood.

From Wiki: “In traditional societies, the age of consent for a sexual union was a matter for the family to decide, or a tribal custom. In most cases, this coincided with signs of puberty, menstruation for a woman and pubic hair for a man.” (Bullough, Vern. “Encyclopedia of Children and Childhood in History and Society”. faqs.org.)

    I hope this helps

Trump, Fox News and Swedish Crime Statistics

Dunce cap on Trump

On Saturday, Trump referred to what seemed to be an alleged terror attack in Sweden the day before. He talked about the U.S. Migration Ban and justified it by mentioning an “incident” in Sweden. But nothing remarkable happened in Sweden that Friday (I am from Sweden). It is more probable that Trump was talking about a TV segment that aired Friday evening on Tucker Carlson (Fox) about “Muslim Migration” to Sweden and alleged exploding “crime rates” in Sweden.

Fox claims that “Muslims” who migrate to Sweden have increased the crime rate astronomically, and to prove this they interviewed Ami Horowitz. He made a lot of claims about refugees in the short segment while the TV flashed images of Muslims and people rioting. The aim of the claims is to scaremonger; they want to fool people to view immigration as something negative, and dangerous.

I am a Swede that loves the U.S.A. and Ami and Fox News are WRONG!

I will focus on one thing: the claims about crimes in Sweden. When Fox news wants to talk about problems with criminality they often choose Sweden, why not The Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico or the suburbs of New York? (Though they tend to also paint these areas as plagued by a “culture of Black” or “Latino” crime as well)

Sweden surely has problems. Unemployment and alienation among immigrants is a big problem but Sweden is still not as unsafe to live in as the U.S.A.

Lets just look at the statistics that have to do with homicides. Sweden has about 1-1.3 murders per 100,000 inhabitants and the USA has about 5. The U.S. controlled Virgin Islands has 52 murders per 100,000 (56 homicides 2010) and Puerto Rico 18.5 (681 homicides 2014).

Ami Horowitz claims that there are No Go Zones in Sweden where police cannot even enter. No, that is wrong. There are zones with social problems and unemployment among immigrants that RACISTS call No Go Zones. But real “No Go Zones” are the ones found in the USA. Compared to some areas in say Philadelphia and Baltimore (for good reasons such as a history of police brutality and militarization in those places), parts of the racist South, and towns with a legacy of “sundown laws” the Swedish suburbs are VERY calm and peaceful.

Perhaps Ami has never visited the  of USA?

Statistics and Swedish rape

It is difficult to compare statistics between countries. Not all nations define crime in the same way. In Sweden and the USA it is, for example, not a crime to be a homosexual. In nations with laws against homosexuals that “crime” affects the statistics.

The best example of this is the international statistics on rape and sexual assault. I have written about this in a recent article. Sweden has tough laws against rape reports and therefore has many reported cases of rapes in its statistics, whereas Egypt and Mozambique have lousy laws and report few or almost no instances of rape.

As “evidence” for this international statistics are cited. Indeed, according to those statistics a lot of rapes are reported in Sweden: 63,5  rape incidents per 100,000 citizens. The USA with 300 million people has 27. That would lead you to think that the numbers of rapes are skyrocketing but then you look at the figures. Sweden with ten million people has 5,960 rapes, Azerbaijan 16, India only 22,000, Lebanon 19, Mozambique 44! And Saudi Arabia claims that there is almost no rape, (and lash the raped women instead), Egypt has about 100 all in all, Canada 576.

Does this mean that Sweden is unsafe for women, and that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Mozambique are paradise for women?

Of course not, there are big differences between all countries. The first is that what is defined as rape in Mozambique and Saudi Arabia is not the same as in Sweden or Germany and what is legally defined as a rape in USA is not the same as in Sweden.

Mozambique still has the old colonial laws that stated rapists to go unpunished if they marry their victims and stay married for at least five years. Saudi Arabia, well… Lots of women are raped but the legal system doesn’t seem to care about that. Egyptian law is not protecting Egyptian women very well.

The Swedish law considers lots of acts as sexual assault and rape that other countries don’t.

That is why the statistics on homicides is so important. The international laws against homicide are almost the same in all countries. And the statistics show that Sweden is a far more peaceful country than the USA.

To lower crime rates the U.S.A. should INCREASE immigration

As for immigration.

If Donald Trump wants to decrease the rates of criminality in the USA, he should open the borders and bring in more immigrants. If you look at facts, immigrants to the USA have lower rates of crime than people born in the USA.

Many have reported on this fact which is scientifically and statistically confirmed. The New York Times wrote last year;

“In America, as in Europe, anti-immigrant backlashes have often followed episodes in which foreigners are blamed for crimes and other problems. But statistical studies show that in the United States, at least, immigrants are far more law-abiding than natives, regardless of race, class or education.”

Reason magazine wrote;

“This new study bolsters my reporting on the topic back in 2014 which also found lower rates of criminality among immigrants. As I then noted: University of California sociologist Ruben Rumbaut finds, among other things, that the incarceration rate of American-born males between 18 and 39 years of age was five times the rate of foreign-born males, and finds similar conclusions in a survey of other studies on the topic.

Rumbaut and his colleagues have updated their data. From the executive summary of their study:

‘For more than a century, innumerable studies have confirmed two simple yet powerful truths about the relationship between immigration and crime: immigrants are less likely to commit serious crimes or be behind bars than the native-born, and high rates of immigration are associated with lower rates of violent crime and property crime. This holds true for both legal immigrants and the unauthorized, regardless of their country of origin or level of education. In other words, the overwhelming majority of immigrants are not “criminals” by any commonly accepted definition of the term. For this reason, harsh immigration policies are not effective in fighting crime.’”

Lets look at the statistics. I looked at this some years ago and found these excellent charts from one of the studies by Rumbaut. It is statistics that show that 3% of the US population between 18 and 39 was incarcerated in 2000. 3.5% of the U.S. born population and 0.86% of the foreign born population was incarcerated.

Thus: to decrease the crime rates in the U.S.A: increase immigration (and end racist laws and policing practices targeting Black and Brown communities)!

The chart above also shows that the USA has far greater problems with criminality than Sweden. The US has 758 incarcerated per 100,000 inhabitants in 2005-2007. Sweden had 77!

It is interesting to see that Trump watches a show that claims that “Muslim” immigrants are behind crime and rape in Sweden and gets so inspired by it that he attacks Sweden the day after. Islamophobia, anyone?

  • Income inequality is inevitable when you import millions upon millions of untrained immigrants who don’t have the skill set to make much money.

I think the importation of many workers is actually a symptom, rather than the cause, of income inequality. We have a very wealthy sliver of elite who are all too happy to greatly increase the labor supply and drive down wages and benefits. But they sliver would exist regardless. Also, not all of the immigrants are low skill. High paying, high tech jobs are going to immigrants too. I worked on an IT team in a large corporate and on a team of 13, I was the only American-born person. One from China, one from Pakistan, all the rest from India. No exaggeration.

Of course there is an upside to this, in that we get some of the “best and brightest” in what some in India a few years ago called “the brain drain,” meaning they were losing good people to the US. The downside is that when too many people come, we don’t necessarily get the “best and brightest” anymore, and native-born Americans either have to accept very low wages or go without a job. Some people get mad at ANY criticism of immigration policy, but this is simple economic reality.

There are so many sophisticated means why which this sliver of elite siphons wealth off of the common people, it’s hard to fathom. And it’s too big a topic to reasonably cover here. When I look at our government today being focused mostly on protecting profits, not people, the domestic policy as well as our foreign wars, are more comprehensible. Not pretty. Depressing, but easier to grasp.

Thank you for your answers regarding Christianity. That’s a very positive and inspiring expression of the faith, bolstered by some lovely passages from the Bible. I’m satisfied with your answer, and so I don’t have additional questions. I do want to draw a parallel as far as image though, because not everyone looking in from the outside would see Christianity that way. Not just people on the receiving en of US foreign policy, which they might associate with Christians (especially due to Zionism), but even in America itself, oddly enough. The negative portrayal of Christians in a lot of popular culture is shocking to me.

I was trying to watch a movie a while back that didn’t have any disturbing themes so I chose a sci fi about space bugs, thinking that would be innocuous. Yet they had a “Christian” woman on there who went from slightly kooky to crazy and violent. When she talked, people glared at her, an old lady cursed her and everyone nodded, and someone threw a can of vegetables at her head! I found this shocking. In the end they shot her dead. My “innocent” movie wasn’t. I rarely even try to watch Hollywood movies anymore.

I feel like Islam and Muslims get a bad rap too. Because all the goodness and kindness you’re discussing with regard to Christianity finds expression in Islam too, among Muslims. A different flavor the same spirit. I know this because I know Muslims who are devout, and they are some of the kindest, most generous, loving people I’ve ever met. Truly. Just being among them feels peaceful and serene. They are not the Muslims who usually make TV. Please keep that in mind when you see portrayals in the media. I don’t think religious people generally get a fair shake these days, as secularists increasingly seem to lean anti-theist. I believe this is both earthly and spiritual warfare, and I find myself defending believers, regardless of their affiliation.

Anyway, it’s good to have a fruitful discussion. There are too few good faith conversations, I think, online these days.

I’m working on a home renovation project, and I’ve noticed procrastination often takes the form of writing comments here in Disqus. Conversation is more enticing than painting on any given day, but at some point, I have to drag myself back to task.

It’s been nice talking with you. Thank you for taking the time. Take care.

Are Alien Lizards behind the “Muslim Invasion?”

Besides Breitbart, Inforwars is another one of Donald Trump’s main sources of news and information. The connection between Trump and Infowars makes me wonder if Donald believes that some humans are alien lizards too, as Alex Jones do. Does the American president believe that some of the world leaders he talks to are lizards dressed  as humans?

President Donald Trump claims that 3 million votes where cast by illegal immigrants. All of them apparently voted for Hillary Clinton. His source for that allegation is Infowars.com. Donald has agreed to be interviewed on Infowars and tweeted “news” from Infowars. Inforwars is no longer a fringe source of bizarre propaganda. Infowars is respected by the President of USA.

Trump claims to have witnessed that Muslims celebrated in New York when the twin towers were brought down by terrorists 2001. That claim was published in an article on Infowars in 2001 and retweeted by Trump. He links to an article in Infowars.

Myth or fact?

There were individuals (from various communities) that “celebrated” in the USA. No doubt. But no evidence or facts has ever been presented about hundreds or thousands of Muslims that allegedly celebrated in or around New York City when WTC collapsed. This is a FACT. Rumours spread by people that hate Muslims, or hearsay is NOT facts. Besides that, 60 Muslims died in the attacks on 9/11 so the Muslims were busy grieving their dead not celebrating. Thousands ran for their lives that day. Radical extremists are killing tens of thousands of Muslims every year. They are victims of the extremist terror too.

As for Alex Jones and his Infowars. Well, I still remember listening to his broadcast after 9/11. He talked about alien lizards that were a part of the conspiracy to attack the USA on 9/11. This is something that he has not talked much about since. But the aliens are still a part of his worldview. It is the conspiracy to “replace men with machines” and to make the Muslims “burn down all of Europe”, let them “invade the U.S.A,” and make the ruling elite “Gods.”

Alex Jones is “joking” that Hillary Clinton is an alien lizard who gave birth to aliens in a glass of water. Hardly a joke, since Alex truly believe Hillary has reptilian, alien, DNA.

“I warned Mr. Trump to be careful of shape-shifting reptilian aliens trying to infiltrate his campaign,” said Jones on his radio show “Info Wars.” “I believe that many of Hillary Clinton’s health problems are down to the fact that her reptilian DNA is having a hard time adapting to our environment.”

He also believe that Hillary Clinton is a demon, but that is not a joke for him. Look at this!

And the health care reform of President Obama was of course made up by the lizards. What do you think about this?

Alex Jones has featured David Icke on his show. David Icke is the antisemitic “mastermind” behind the claim that alien lizards are trying to take over the earth.

“Humanity is actually under the control of dinosaur-like alien reptiles called the Babylon Brotherhood who must consume human blood to maintain their human appearance.” (Icke)

A trustworthy source of information? Well ask Mr. Alex Jones to present the facts. There aren’t any, unless you believe that flies that land on a person are evidence of them being “demons,” or that reflections in a glass of water is evidence of people being lizards from outer space?!

The only question is if Donald Trump believes in this alien conspiracy theory too? I think that should be the next question asked at a Trump press conference!

Interestingly enough, the only ones witnessed celebrating in or around New York City when the WTC collapsed were Israelis:

      http://abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=123885

Always something to keep in mind when people like to exaggerate and over-emphasize allegations of Muslims celebrating the attacks.

    • Khizer

Yeah, Alex Jones is actually playing a character, though it does not change the fact tat he spreads disinformation.

    • Joey Sanders

I met Alex Jones many years ago. In person, he seemed very normal. Then I saw his YouTube channel. It made me think that he just plays a character and the joke is on the people who take him seriously.

    • Khizer

      My God!

It all makes sense now…..Alex Jones only knew of the muzlamic chameleons’ and liberal lizard (wo)mens’ plot to take over the West……BECAUSE HE WAS A LIZARD PERSON ALL ALONG!!!!!

He realised the injustice of his people’s plan to take over the West, so he defected to humanity’s (only the West since the rest of the world doesn’t exist, obviously. /s) side and is trying to tell us of the evil lizard (wo)men’s plans through his ‘informative’ (i.e. Batshit insane) videos!

  • Muzlamic chameleons? LOL. Awesome. If we did a video on YouTube, there would probably be thousands of people who actually believed it.

There are now “flat earth” videos that some people are seriously debating, so why not Muzlamic chameleons conspiring with our reptilian shape shifting overlords?

Is Sweden Invaded by “Muslim Rapists?”

Pegida-Germany protest against refugees dubbed as “rapefugees.” It is a meme that has taken off on the right in Europe.

Is Sweden the “rape capital” of the world, as Breitbart and Islamophobes worldwide claim? What is the background to the high figures of reported rape in Sweden? Is it the so called “Muslim invasion of immigrants” that is responsible for it? Is “the Muslim rape culture” behind it? Or is it simply that Sweden has stronger laws against sexual offenses like rape, and that Swedish women are raised not to take shit!

I am from Sweden. When I went to school 30 years ago I heard about a case of two young white American exchange students who raped Swedish young girls. Many Swedes reacted with horror. Many blamed ALL Americans for the wrongdoings of these two. “All American white youngsters are like that, racists and rapists,” “USA is insane,” “Americans are rapists.” “Too much American TV-violence.”

Breitbart and Islamophobes worldwide do the same thing to Muslims. “Muslims rape women” they claim. “Muslims” are currently “raping” Europe, according to the Breitbart Senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

The so called “evidence” for this is the claim that the numbers of rapes allegedly is “skyrocketing” in Europe, and it is all blamed on Muslim immigrants.

It is worst in Sweden they claim. Sweden is a burning hell were “Muslims” rape, kill and burn down cars, they say.

Is Sweden the “Rape Capital of the Western World?”

Breitbart hates Sweden more than any other European country. Sweden is both a stronghold of feminism and a country that has accepted a lot of refugees, especially Muslims. And we all know that feminists, migrants and Muslims make Breitbart go bananas! Almost every time Breitbart talks about “Muslim rapeculture” in Europe they bring up Sweden as the worst case scenario. Sweden is the “rape capital of the Western world” it is claimed.

So what is going on here?

Statistics

There has been a lot of discussion globally about the case of Julian Assange. If you agree to have sex with a woman in Sweden, using condom, and you take it off in the end of the sexual act, without the consent of the woman, it can be regarded as rape. Sweden has strong laws against marital rape, and rapists can be convicted even if the wife herself doesn’t report the rape by the husband. There are proposed laws that will make sexual harassment online a crime, like sending unsolicited pictures of a penis to women. Sexual bullying at work is regarded as a crime, and if it involves physical contact without consent it might be regarded as rape.

In the USA marital rape is still not entirely regarded a crime in 13 states.

The second difference is that different countries report rape statistically in different ways. If one person rapes a woman 100 times it can be regarded as ONE crime in some places. In Sweden it would be reported by the police as 100 rapes.

There has been some discussion about this online.

Imagine, for example, if your boss rubbed against you in an unwanted way at work once a week for a year. In Canada, this would potentially be a case of sexual assault. Under Germany’s more limited laws, it would be zero cases. In Sweden, it would be tallied as 52 separate cases of rape. If you engaged in a half-dozen sex acts with your spouse, then later you felt you had not given consent, in Sweden that would be classified as six cases of rape.

BBC wrote,

Official figures from the United Nations show that there were 17 kidnaps per 100,000 people in Australia in 2010 and 12.7 in Canada.

That compares with only 0.6 in Colombia and 1.1 in Mexico.

So why haven’t we heard any of these horror stories? Are people being grabbed off the street in Sydney and Toronto, while the world turns a blind eye?

No, the high numbers of kidnapping cases in these two countries are explained by the fact that parental disputes over child custody are included in the figures. If one parent takes a child for the weekend, and the other parent objects and calls the police, the incident will be recorded as a kidnapping, according to Enrico Bisogno, a statistician with the United Nations.

And the third factor is that the focus on the rights of women has led to an increase in reported rapes to the police. Swedish women are more conscious about their rights and are not afraid to report sexual assaults or rape.

Immigrants?

Globe and Mail writes:

But aren’t refugees and immigrants responsible for a greater share of Sweden’s sexual assaults?

In a sense. Statistics show that the foreign-born in Sweden, as in most European countries, do have a higher rate of criminal charges than the native-born, in everything from shoplifting to murder (though not enough to affect the crime rate by more than a tiny margin). The opposite is true in North America, where immigrants have lower-than-average crime rates.

Yes, you read correct. Immigrants have higher rates of criminal charges than natives in most of Europe, but in the USA it is the opposite. (We´ll have to return to this fact some other day.)

Sweden doesn’t have statistics that cover the descent of convicted rapists. Denmark, the neighbouring country, has it.

Denmark is one of the countries that has “skyrocketing” rape figures according to Breitbart. Well there certainly is a statistic overrepresentation of immigrants in the rape statistics. The Danish paper BT reported some years ago that three times as many with immigrant background are sentenced for rapes than those with Danish background. That sounds scary, right?

Lets look at the statistics. This is from 2015. The first headline is about crimes that have to do with sexual assault (Sexualforbrydelser). The second headline deals with rape (Voldtaekt). The statistics show the number of convicted per year and their descent.

89.77% of Denmark’s population of over 5,580,516 was of Danish descent. That means that there are 10%, or about 560,000, with foreign descent. Of them something like 200,000 to 250,000 are Muslims. In 2015, 553 people were convicted for sexual offenses, 456 were of Danish descent. 49 were convicted of rape, 21 were of non Danish descent (statistikbanken). Bad, but hardly so alarming that you can claim that “Europe is collapsing” due to “foreigners” that “predominantly” are “Muslims.” (And some of the non-Danes are visitors to the country who do not live in Denmark.) Below you have the figures for 2014. 425 with Danish descent were convicted of sexual assault in 2014, compared to 39 foreigners (less than 10%). 18 with danish descent were convicted for rape, 12 of foreign descent. (statistikbanken) Yes, immigrants and their children have higher rates of crime than native Danes, but it is hardly the disaster Breitbart talks about.

There are differences between Denmark and Sweden, but not big ones What is true for Denmark should be true for Sweden.

The irony is that Breitbart hates feminism and the concept of equal rights for women. Feminism makes women look ugly, they claim. They have written several articles ridiculing women that have reported about rape and sexual assault. Just search on Breitbart and you´ll see: Rape+hoax. Rape+fake. Rape+lie.

Breibart makes fun of rape victims, and claims there is an inflation in fake rape allegations. But still they claim to be concerned about so called “Muslim Rape.” Hypocrisy!

There are a lot of problems still in Sweden and Denmark with oppression of women, and with rape and sexual assault and some immigrants bring with them a view of women that is not acceptable to most Swedes. But that does NOT justify slanders against all immigrants or Muslims.

Not the first time

It should be emphasized that there are many similarities between the current hatred against Muslims and the way Jews today, and historically, have been slandered and hated,

The Nazis spread the same lies about Jews in the 30s, as Breitbart spreads about Muslims today. It was claimed that there was such a thing as “Jewish Rape Culture.” Especially the magazine Der Sturmer was famous for spreading these kinds of lies.

In the picture below, from Der Sturmer,  you can see the satanic Jewish snake that is raping a woman, and in the background you can see the Jewish Talmud.

Antisemitism Germany 5

In the 1930s it was claimed that Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe were overrepresented in the criminal statistics of Germany. That might be true since they were socioeconomically poorer that native German Jews. In the same way as Breitbart does today, the nazis claimed that this was “evidence” of “Jewish criminality” and “Jewish rape culture.”

Sweden, and the Nordic countries are on the top of the list of countries where women have the most rights, where there is most equality between genders.  There are problems, but lets solve them without blaming all Muslims and without spreading lies.

Go fuckin kill your self you liberals!!!!!! This article has not done nothing hate on breitbart. You’re spreading lies that you don’t even understand, they did not ridicule victims as those hate crime victims were PROVEN HOAXES!!!!!!! Ask ANY fuckin Swedish woman in Stockholm and they will tell you that they are afraid just to walk the damn streets at night!!!!!!!! Fuck you, fuck political correctness, and fuck Islam, it’s a disgusting cult founded by a literal CHILD RAPIST, and that is why over 830,000,000 Muslims are radical

    • David

      Okay proof ?

Its like when blm claims blacks die more often in encounters. Read several studies showing otherwise.

    • You did NOT expose my ignorance. I merely asked you to support your assertion with “Muslim doctrine,” and in fact you FAILED. You evidence does NOT support your assertion.

You implied if you father is a Muslim, then you will ALWAYS be considered a Muslim. FALSE. If you have Muslim parents but you grow up and decide you are a Christian, then you are Christian, not a Muslim. I realize Jews have some ethnic component, as they have told me themselves, so that you can actually be an “atheist Jew.” But that isn’t how Islam works. It’s a religion, not an ethnicity. “Muslim atheist” is an oxymoron.

In fact, Obama WAS NOT EVEN BORN a Muslim. He was born to two atheists/agnostic parents.

Neither of your assertions is true. They are BOTH false.

Anyway, why are you on about Obama? He’s not even in office anymore, and when he was, he relentlessly bombed Muslims, just like the rest of our presidents. What more did you want?

Now you have Trump, not Obama. Time to move on

    • How wrong you are. I’ve been on 4 of the 7 continents, and am quite well traveled.

You’ve now changed the subject. The question is whether or not the propaganda regarding rape statistics reflects reality, or is skewed in order to promote an agenda. That’s the question we’re addressing here.

Even if you’re correct and there are problems in Malmo, that is not an excuse to lie about the numbers.

    • Simon Campbell

There is also the fact the higher gender equality leads to a more rapes being reported which will inevitable lead to a higher number. Because the thing is that most rapes goes unreported.

    • Lindum

Look, you are obviously a person who doesn’t travel much, and gets your ideas from those around you. I agree with you. Forget the stats. Just get on a plane and go to Malmo. I assume you’re a woman. Wander around there outside the city centre and see what happens. You can have similar experiences in many cities though. Try Beszier or Marseilles for example.

    • There are no statistics being “explained away,” period. We are challenging alarmist propaganda that does not reflect reality.

    • Of course a child born to Muslims is considered a Muslim. A child born to Christians is considered a Christian too. How else could it be?

But if you grow up and decide to be something else, then you aren’t a Muslim anymore. Islam a religion, not an ethnicity.

    • What “Muslim doctrine” is that?

    • Where have I said that?

      Nowhere, of course.

The Independent: Mass Sexual Assault in Frankfurt By Refugees ‘Completely Made Up’

The damage has been done: the meme that the zombies at Breitbart, and other right-wing media wanted to propagate about “rapefugees” got regurgitated and disseminated far and wide. Breitbart which was one of the disseminators of the lie, followed up the truthful story and found a way to add some wholly unrelated anti-Muslim shade at the end. (h/t:Abdel)

This is not the first time German media have been fooled by the so-called “fake news” phenomena. Last year in Berlin, a group of pro-migrant activists called “Moabit Helps” claimed a migrant had frozen to death waiting for benefits. The story was widely reported across German media, but when no dead migrant was found and the sole witness went into hiding, the story was proved to be a hoax.

In Austria, a young Muslim girl claimed she had been attacked at a train station by people who had torn off her hijab and tried to throw her onto the train tracks. After police looked at the footage they saw the girl walk onto a train with no violence occurring at all and launched an investigation claiming she lied to police.

By Harriet Agerholm, The Independent

Prosecutors are investigating two people for allegedly fabricating an account of a mass sex attack by Arab migrants in Frankfurt.

Claims that a “sex rioting mob” of around 50 men assaulted a group of women over the new year were reported by German tabloid Bild earlier this month.

The report, which suggested the attackers lived at a refugee shelter in central Hasse, was widely re-circulated by right-wing news sites.

In an article since taken down from its website, Bild interviewed a chef who runs a restaurant in Fressgass, a busy shopping district, as well as a 27-year-old woman.

The chef alleged that dozens of Arab men came into his restaurant in, stole his customers’ jackets and sexually assaulted multiple women.

The 27-year-old female told the paper: “They grabbed me under my skirt, between the legs and on my breast – everywhere.”

Yet, police said on Tuesday they believed the allegations were “completely baseless”. One of the purported victims of the alleged attack was not in Frankfurt at the time of the purported crime, they said.

“Interviews with alleged witnesses, guests and employees led to major doubts with the version of events that had been presented,” police told German daily Frankfurter Rundschau.

“One of the alleged victims was not even in Frankfurt at the time the allegations are said to have taken place.”

They concluded: “Masses of refugees were not responsible for any sexual assaults in the Fressgass over New Year. The accusations are completely baseless.”

No sexual assaults were reported to police from the the area over New Year before the Bild report, they said.

Investigators were looking into whether the pair had made up the story.

Bild‘s editor-in-chief Julian Reichelt issued an apology on behalf of the tabloid, writing in a tweet: “We apologise for our own work. I’ll shortly announce what Bild will do about it.”

    • Funny you wrote a comment about the sense of entitlement of Europe’s new guests. I’m a mod here and YOU are a guest. Who are you to suggest that *I* should shut the f*ck up?

I say whatever I want here.

    • Please tell me where Muslims have successfully implemented Sharia law in Europe. I would love to know.

Why are you calling us liberals?

    • Greg Randall

Except for one tiny detail, the attacks did take place, are taking place and will. I lived Europe for 4 years and have seen very brazen attitudes and sense of entitlement from Europe’s latest guests. First thing they do is find their own people, secure themselves within their new neighborhoods and then institute Sharia Law. I don’t recommend going to these neighborhoods at night especially if you’ve been drinking. Face it liberals, you guys cannot keep up with those of us who the truth with lying about them and pretending they’re all great people. And I’m not saying there’s nobody good among them, of course there are, This Garibaldi guy, does he always think news that is true might just be a lie?

    • Greg Randall

Why don’t you shut the fuck up+

    • Fair point, though I think if people stick around, they get the idea.

    • Loonwatch featured an interview with Reza Aslan and he’s expressed support for the site in the past:

Exclusive Loonwatch Interview with Reza Aslan https://www.loonwatch.com/2011/11/exclusive-loonwatch-interview-with-reza-aslan/

Obviously “loon” is loosely defined. I think for me, a loon is someone who is dishonest and agenda-driven in their criticism of Islam. If their goal is to spread outrage, fear, and hatred, even if they have to tell half truths or outright lies to achieve their goal, then they’re a loon.

When it comes to “criticism” of Islam, my question is, “Is what is being said true?” If it’s true and in proper context, then it should be fair to say it.

There are some widely held traditional positions in Islam that don’t comport with the values of the modern West, so there are valid reasons some people would criticize aspects of the doctrine. There are Muslims who do things deserving of criticism as well, of course, though those things may be in spite of Islamic doctrine rather than because of it, and I think it’s fair to ask that people make that distinction.

My problem with Robert Spencer, as just one example, is not that he “criticizes” Islam. It’s that he lies. Sometimes he tells half truths and sometimes he outright lies. But it’s his dishonesty that makes him a loon, not his skepticism or even his dislike of Islam.

    • Again, what does one have to do with the other? What is your logic?

If one is true then the other is true and if one is false then the other is false? That’s a ridiculous assertion. Can you imagine a court of law where the prosecution tried to say a defendant was guilty on such logic? That would be laughable. Or are you suggesting that, if we report on one incident, we must report on all other incident that are in any way similar, which is literally impossible?

What about the Wikipedia page? How does the existence of “taharrush jamai” make the Brietbart story true? That’s like saying a particular rape story in America must be true because rape exists here.

Either the story regarding Frankfurt is true or it’s false. If it’s false, then someone is spreading lies and there is no reason we should not call them out on it.

    • Not sure what one has to do with the other.

    • Loon logic fail.

If x and y happened, that means z also happened….even if it didn’t.

Head back over the Jihad Watch where this sort of “logic” flies.

    • John Hussey

and I’ll bet 9/11, Charlie Hebdo and the French Stadium attacks never took place

    • Viredae

Will Breitbart be writing any retractions or corrections about this massive slanderous article any time soon?

Yeah, didn’t think so, I won’t be holding my breath.

The Nazi Roots of the Word “Cultural Marxism”

Islamophobes often use the word “Cultural Marxism.” If you believe or support the rights of Muslims or the rights of women, homosexuals or black people you are a cultural Marxist in the eyes of some. The key “think tank” behind the Trump administration, Steve Bannon’s Breitbart, often use the word Cultural Marxism. But what is its origin? The word cultural marxism was invented by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in the early 1920’s and the present day Islamophobes have just “borrowed” it from the antisemities and Nazis.

Breitbart views so called “Cultural Marxism”as the root of all evil. Cultural Marxism destroys language. Cultural Marxists want to have equality between the sexes. They threaten Western civilizationhate God and love Muslims and Homosexuals.

Cultural Marxists are behind Muslim immigration they claim. It started with talk about the rights of minorities in the 60’s, they write:

Under this “cultural Marxism,” progressives believed they would aid racial and sexual minorities — and now Islamic minorities — by transferring cultural power and status from ordinary Americans, especially from white working-class Americans and away from individualistic-minded Christian churches…

The present day cultural Marxists, including former President Obama,

are also encouraging the migration of devout Muslims and their theocratic political leaders into the United States.

And that leads to terrorism,

The resulting spike in jihad attacks…”

We are talking about REALLY scary things.

What is the origin of this mysterious group of alleged Marxists? Andrew Breitbart, The founder of Breitbart, traced the roots of present day cultural marxists to something called the Frankfurt school.

Why the Frankfurt School?  According to this myth cultural Marxism was created by Marxists in Germany in the 1920’s, the so called the Frankfurt School. They wanted to destroy Western civilization, it is claimed by introducing amorality, collectivism and atheism. The persons behind it were people like Georg Lukács, Karl Korsch, Karl August Wittfogel, Friedrich Pollock, Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno, Erich Fromm and Herbert Marcuse.

But Breitbart does not tell you that Adolf Hitler invented this myth that the Frankurt school was behind much of the evil on this planet.

The Nazis and “Cultural Bolsjevism”

The Nazis needed an enemy that was both Jewish and Marxist and that could be blamed for both the “rise in homosexuality” and the “degeneration of culture.” They found the enemy in the Frankfurt school. But they used the term “cultural Bolshevism,” not “cultural Marxisms.”

In 1935 Germany banned Jazz music in public, for example on German radio. The Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet wrote on October 13, 1935 that the Nazis were clearing out “cultural Bolsjevism” from German culture.  “From this Saturday onwards all negroe-dance music is banned on German radio.”

If you read the Nazi propaganda and media from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s you often see the word “cultural Bolsjevism” and you can often see references to the “evil” Frankfurt School. The nazi bookburnings were a part of the campaign against “cultural Bolsjevism,” as well as the ban against Jazz music, the “degenerated music” (“entartete musik”).

The Nazis claimed that the culture was being destroyed by a Jewish conspiracy. In this conspiracy the Jewish Marxists in the University of Frankfurt played a crucial role. The same myth that Breitbart and others still are spreading today, but with the claim that the present day followers of Frankfurt School Marxism are behind the “Muslim invasion”.

The Nazi press was filled with references to “cultural Bolsjevism.” Völkischer Beobachter, the main Nazi paper, wrote about the hated Jazz music in 1931. Here are two examples of how they used the word. First 17 december 1931: “Culturalbolshevistic triumph in Thuringen,” and the second on December 18, 1931: saying that 1931 is about “bourgeois-marxistic cultural Marxism.”

Many artists were kicked out of Germany by the Nazis in the first years of their reign. All of those where kicked out as a part of this campaign, citing “cultural Marxism” as the legal reason for it. Many artists where banned and not allowed to enter Germany. The Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter reported on April 17, 1934 that the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok was blacklisted in Germany because he was viewed as a “cultural Bolshevist.”

Adolf Hitler

The originator of this antisemitic myth is unknown, but is probably Adolf Hitler.

What we know is that he writes about this alleged Jewish-Marxist conspiracy to corrupt morality and culture in his book Mein Kampf. Especially chapter 10 in the first book of Mein Kampf, published 1925.

Der Bolschewismus der Kunst ist die einzig mögliche kulturelle Lebensform und geistige Äußerung des Bolschewismus überhaupt.”

In English:

“Even before the turn of the century an element began to intrude into our art which up to that time could be regarded as entirely foreign and unknown. To be sure, even in earlier times there were occasional aberrations of taste, but such cases were rather artistic derailments, to which posterity could attribute at least a certain historical value, than products no longer of an artistic degeneration, but of a spiritual degeneration that had reached the point of destroying the spirit. In them the political collapse, which later became more visible, was culturally indicated.

Art Bolshevism is the only possible cultural form and spiritual expression of Bolshevism as a whole

Once we pass the development of our cultural life in the last twenty-five years in review from this standpoint, we shall be horrified to see how far we are already engaged in this regression. Everywhere we encounter seeds which represent the beginnings of parasitic growths which must sooner or later be the ruin of our culture. In them, too, we can recognize the symptoms of decay of a slowly rotting world. Woe to the peoples who can no longer master this disease!”

These bolsjevistic conspirators wanted to destroy the culture by cutting off its connection to the past, Hitler claimed. The cultural elite that allowed the introduction of this degenerated art were cowards and traitors to Germany.

“And from this effort to remove the past from the eyes of the present, the evil intent of the apostles of the future could clearly and distinctly be seen. By this it should have been recognized that these were no new, even if false, cultural conceptions, but a process of destroying all culture, paving the way for a stultification of healthy artistic feeling: the spiritual preparation of political Bolshevism. For if the age of Pericles seems embodied in the Parthenon, the Bolshevistic present is embodied in a cubist monstrosity.

In this connection we must also point to the cowardice which here again was manifest in the section of our people which on the basis of its education and position should have been obligated to resist this cultural disgrace. But from pure fear of the clamor raised by the apostles of Bolshevistic art, who furiously attacked anyone who didn’t want to recognize the crown of creation in them and pilloried him as a backward philistine, they renounced all serious resistance and reconciled themselves to what seemed after all inevitable.”

From Adolf Hitler to present day Breitbart

The concept survived among the Nazis after World War II. As the word Marxist became more popular, the word changed so that in the 60s the Nazis talked about cultural Marxism instead. If you do some research you will find that it almost exclusively were the antisemites and Nazis that spread this concept, just 20 years ago. People like Lyndon LaRouch, and William Lind used it, getting it from Willis Carto that used it already in the 70s. The Nazi connections of Carto, like Francis Parker Yockey, are well documented.

Today the internet is flooded with antisemitic propaganda that claims that “Jews” are behind mass immigration, gay rights, interracial marriage and the Muslim invasion. Antisemitism is still a threat, a big threat, to society…

The myth of cultural Marxism is connected to the idea that the Jews are behind the so called Muslim invasion that I wrote about recently.

About 15 years ago the concept was picked up by the Islamophobes around the “counterjihad” movement. They claimed that they were not antisemites and downplayed criticism of the Jews (even if some, like Steve Bannon, still believe that “U.S. Jews” are a part of the grand conspiracy”).

The Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, that in 2011 murdered more than 80 people in an attempt to “stop the Islamization of Europe,” used the concept often. Breivik posted on the site Document.no in 2009.:

“How Can a democracy work When 98% of Western European journalist openly sympathize with “cultural Marxism”? These Deliberate “media black-outs” are authoritarian in nature.”

***

“Ideology of multiculturalism (cultural Marxism) is an anti-European hatideologi whose purpose is to destroy European culture, identity and Christianity in general.”

Thus: today the Muslims are the main targets of the “cultural Marxism” myths and exaggerations. The myth is exactly the same as in the 1920s: a global conspiracy. The attempt to destroy culture and morality by using “amoral” ideas like immigration, “Muslims,” homosexuals, free sex, democracy, civil rights, female rights, etc., etc.

The counterjihadists and Islamophobes, like Breitbart, are spreading a myth that Nazis created.

It is so sad to see that racist myths that until a few years ago only the Nazis were spreading, is being more and more accepted. As for Steve Bannon, the former head of Breitbart that now is the main advisor to President Trump: he too uses this word, to fight the Muslims and homosexuals and feminists that he believes are conspiring to destroy Western civilization.

Interestingly, I’ve seen some Muslims use the same terminology and talking points presented here when combating or critiquing what they perceive as the immorality/amorality of the left.

I have disagreements with certain language and projects of the left but the way to respond to those issues is not to reproduce their ideas and beliefs. Islam will always stand a counterpoint and a threat to Nazi, White supremacy as it is naturally a cosmopolitan faith that strongly denounces racism (even if too many Muslims are racists) and judges based on actions not skin color.
