Phoenix Tea Party leader Says All Muslims are ‘A threat to this country’, Seeks Recall of McCain, Emails Link to Article from Crazed Hate Site Bare Naked Islam

Expect even more unfiltered bigotry from the likes of Wes Harris as the Presidential race nears:

Phoenix tea party leader says all Muslims are ‘a threat to this country’, seeks recall of McCain, emails link to article from crazed hate site Bare Naked Islam

A prominent Phoenix tea party leader who believes Muslims cannot be trusted to be loyal to the United States and should not be working for the federal government is incensed with U.S. Sen. John McCain’s defense of a top State Department official and is eying a recall drive against Arizona’s senior senator.

Wes Harris, the founder and chairman of the Original North Phoenix Tea Party, said he plans to take out a recall petition against McCain. While Harris has many problems with McCain, a mass email he sent out focused solely on the senator’s recent defense of Huma Abedin, a top aide to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Harris accused Abedin of having ties to an Islamic extremist group, and he objected to the fact that a Muslim was working for the State Department in the first place.

Harris said he believes Muslims’ loyalty to the U.S. is questionable because their ultimate loyalty is to the Quran and Islam, which he described as “more a fascist type of organization.”

“Have you ever read the Quran? I suggest you do so, because anyone that is a Muslim is a threat to this country, and that’s a fact,” Harris told the Arizona Capitol Times. “There is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. If they are Muslim they have to follow the Quran. That’s their religion and that’s their doctrine.”

Harris said he plans to circulate recall petitions against McCain. In his email, he said, “We must find a way to get rid of this embarrassment.”

The email Harris sent includes a forwarded item from the blog Bare Naked Islam that castigates McCain for defending “Islamic enemies of America” and attacking U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, a Minnesota Republican and tea party favorite. The blog piece ends by saying, “Go to hell, Senator, it’s time for you to take your final dirt nap.”

Harris said he believes Abedin has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. But ultimately, he said it doesn’t matter whether she’s linked to the group or not because he doesn’t believe Muslims should work for the federal government.

“Is she a Muslim? Is she an active Muslim?” Harris said. “I rest my case. That’s all she needs to be.”

    RE: 2012 Huma Witchhunt
Bachman led a pitchfork feudal class to gladly slather Huma’s head with digital vitriol and then hoist any real or imaginary sins of Muslims thru history- capped onto her head a SAW bear-trap no way to escape, fitted on by Bachmann with electric chair delight.
Then Huma for two weeks is openly banished thru a menacing parade of ‘compatriots’ all loving to take a slash out of her left to the larger hyenas America-wide who have already taken a bite, and Huma remains a political carcass.
So who comes out and cordons her off defensive perimeter aka public bodyguard- but McCain, an Senior/Disabled/Veteran/Presidential Candidate defending a rivals (Hil) lowly protocol adjutant.

And the zombie islamphobe horde goes helter-skelter clawing after him too, no minimum respect for the office hierarchy he holds. Poor old guy, lived thru Vietnam, now defending a girl, protected by women himself, climbing out the proverbial ‘public’ window to get away from this particular queasy mob.

Hope he has a fast car.

  • “Have you ever read the Book of Mormon? I suggest you do so, because anyone that is a Morman is a threat to this country, and that’s a fact,” Harris told the Arizona Capitol Times. “There is no such thing as a moderate Morman. If they are Morman they have to follow the Book of Mormon. That’s their religion and that’s their doctrine.”

See – that generic statement works for about any religion.

-“Is she a Muslim? Is she an active Muslim?” Harris said. “I rest my case. That’s all she needs to be.-

In Islamic worldview, all are born Muslim, (but do they follow Islam) so by our protocol, Wes himself is an ‘inactive’ Muslim.

Now he can chase his own tail.

  • “Have you ever read the Bible? I suggest you do so, because anyone that is a Christian is a threat to this country, and that’s a fact,” Harris told the Arizona Capitol Times. “There is no such thing as a moderate Christian. If they are Christian they have to follow the Bible. That’s their religion and that’s their doctrine.”

Makes much more sense in America today as the vicious are coming out of the woodwork.

  • @Emperor

Speaking of this, Guess who else is defending Bachmann and smearing Abedin as a “stealth Jihadi,” none other than Spencer’s Boss himself!

Horowitz: Abedin May Have Been ‘Given a Special Dispensation to Marry a Jew so She can Infiltrate our Government’

Off course its so “not” ridiculous given how much these guys complain about Muslims sexism and supposedly one of their top Jihadi agents is a woman, not to mention the fact just about every Muslim would have to know about this, because if most of them were really as fanatical as they make them out to be, wouldn’t one of them have killed her by now, thinking she had betrayed Islam?

…and maybe in addition to reading the Quran it’s time for Harris to experience a “dirt nap” of his own, but in some nice public place and just up to the neck, of course.

  • @William Burns

“This guy needs to read the Constitution.”

  • @William Burns

    you wrote,
Forget the Quran–this guy needs to read the Constitution, particularly the part about “no religious test.”

Yes I agree, and lets not also forgot innocent until proven guilty. Have the authorities even attempted to try Huma Abedin? No, and if there was a huge amount of evidence against her, if there was in fact any evidence that she had done anything illegal, don’t you think she would have been arrested by now?

  • @Emperor

Luckily for us, as well as McCain, and America as a whole, I don’t think he’ll get enough support to recall him. The tide may already be turning against anti Muslim bigots like Wes Harris. Hopefully he’ll turn blue in the face long before anything comes of his attempts to recall McCain or it will backfire and make him more popular then ever!

  • The Quran, like the New and Old testaments, abounds with really peace-sounding and civilized rhetoric. But–also like the NT and OT–there is no shortage of disturbing verses, like “non-believers go to Hell” and the penal codes!!!.

Actually, what right-wing Christians and Jews ignore/forget is that Quran is not just similar to their scriptures in many ways, its rhetoric is at times far more advanced in terms of gender, rights, commerce, and social welfare. However, All Abrahamic religions still seek to enforce fear-driven restrictions on sexuality and gender roles.

Some commenters mentioned examples of people who converted to Islam after reading the Quran. Converts to Islam always always provided the alienated and marginalized Muslim population with a much needed dose of morphine in the midst of the disturbing atmosphere of Islamophobia. While conversion does not prove Islam is the truth, it indicates that knowledge about something does replace fear with other more positive emotions, whereas ignorance leads to xenophobia and paranoia.

One more thing, the Tea Party is an ideological political group. Ideologies usually thrive on attacking other “competing” ideologies. It’s a survival technique.

Wes Harris is as pathetic as Muslim extremists.

  • William Burns

Forget the Quran–this guy needs to read the Constitution, particularly the part about “no religious test.”

  • Pamela

Lot of people get a Quran to find faults and evil only to find a certian peace and love will also embrace Islam.

  • I really wish people would take Wes Harris’ advice – in fact, I wish he would take his own advice: read the Qur’an (not just single sentence excerpts taken out of context). Then he and they might be like Robert Salaam ( ) – a young US Marine at the time of 9/11 who bought a Qur’an in order to highlight all the evil statements within that book. He soon found himself, on the contrary, overwhelmed by the GOODNESS of the Qur’an and embraced Islam! Yep, the Qur’an is quite different from what so many people imagine it to be. 🙂

  • revenge

How much do you bet Harris’s ultimate loyalty is to Jesus and Christianity and not America…

  • moosern

I’ll have to contact him to see which sura says to overthrow the US. It must be 115 or later and all of my Qurans end at 114.

  • Hatethehaterz

Bigots like this nut job are the real threat to this country. This moron has never read the Quran, nor does he know anything about Islam, aside from the drivel he gets from hate sites like bare naked Islam. His labeling us as “fascists” is nothing more than projection of his own intolerant, freedom hating ideology. More importantly, this article highlights that there is no pleasing bigots like this fool. If he can’t even leave a non practicing Muslim like Huma Abedin (she married a non-Muslim) alone, than fools like this fascist will never stop persecuting Muslims regardless of whether we even practice. So why even try to conform to their hateful ideology? Uncle Tom’s like Zuhdi Jasser (also from Arizona) should take note that even they are not safe from the likes of these haters.

  • mindy1

    He KNOWS 😳

  • mindy1

I wonder if he know about these wonderful drugs they have for those with paranoia-talk therapy is helpful also 😛

  • So even a liberal pro-US Muslim is still too bad for right wingers? The only good Muslim for those people is a dead one. Or one who converts, upon which s/he becomes a valuable propaganda asset.

“Have you ever read the Quran?” Good question Mr. Harris, I’d like to hear about your expertise in reading it first.
