There are serious discussions regarding so-called “preventative” internment camps for those classed as “extremists” by the French state.

via. Socialist Worker

Days earlier prime minister Manuel Valls sought legal advice on setting up “preventative” internment camps for those classed as extremists.

The number of people in this category doubled to 20,000—the majority of them Muslims—between August and November.

Chair Sihame Assbague called for putting slips of paper saying “no votes without justice” in ballot boxes instead of voting papers.

Campaigner Marwan Muhammad criticised much of the left, “who couldn’t be here because they found it more important to justify themselves to racists.”

Salma Yaqoob, a leading figure from the anti-war movement in Britain, pointed to what could be gained from cooperation between Muslims and the left.

Hanane Karimi is a campaigner in eastern France where the FN led the first round.

She told Socialist Worker, “A victory for the FN would be a catastrophe for everyone.

“But its ideas have been allowed to become so widespread that it becomes a possibility.

“Politics have lurched to the far right. The Socialist Party has been the best possible advert for the FN.

“In France there is no political alternative—and perhaps we need to build one.”

Even a materialist would not respect a country for being rich if (like KSA) it is rich purely due to an accident of geography rather than due to the productivity of its people.

KSA and the other Gulf states are particular egregious examples as they actually hire foreigners to do most of the work!

From the way you spell your name I’d guess you were from a German-speaking country.

Now this is no surprize as Camp Sarko is alwaus trying to look tough against Islam in an attempt to out flank LePen and they would and do promise anything whilst in opposition .. I wouldn’t be surprised if they suggested the internment of all muslim first born frankly .
I had some good news an older Frenchman I know , (who reads Le Point !) told me that it was mentioned at the Christmass Eve Midnight Mass he attended, that French Muslims were protecteding Churches in Paris . We were both impressed

Wonder if that ever makes Fox news :-)

Found this in a short search. Not Valls seeking legal advice (haven’t confirmed another source reporting it) but still:

“Laurent Wauqiuez, the number-three figure in Nicolas Sarkozy’s Republican Party, has even suggested placing French citizens under terror investigations in internment camps.”

I didn’t look long and didn’t find Valls saying anything about ‘internment camps’ but the number three in Sarkozy’s party suggested it.:

What’s stopping who? The conversation was about Muslims in general finding some place else to go if hateful people like you make it dangerous to live in Western countries, forcing Muslims to flee. Saudi Arabia isn’t necessarily safe from bombing and neither is Lebanon or Iran, as the neocons plan or have at least considered bombing them.

Few places are safe from their reach, and even the other countries are not free from Western meddling of what kind or another. The West has fingers in every pie, and that’s the crux of the problem. Again, if people in the West don’t want so many immigrants, look to your own leaders and demand they change your policies. Carrying on about the VICTIMS Of Western policies instead makes you look like a fool. A person who’s thought process can’t get from here to there.

Anyway, you’re just going to have to accept that Muslims are part of the West and always will be. Most of them aren’t going anywhere.

Why don’t I personally leave America? Why should I? I was born here and I have as much right to be here as anyone else.

  • technoviking

Turkey, Saudi, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Lebanon, Iran, Indonesia, etc…

Unsafe from bombing? What’s really stopping you?

  • http://www.loonwatch.com Ilisha

You know what else is a great idea? If people in the West ask their leaders to stop bombing every Musilm-majority country in sight so if Muslims want to leave, they have some place to go.

I see. Well as far as I’m concerned, Israel doesn’t have a right to exist as a Jewish state on other people’s land and at the expense of their rights. But I see no reason Jews can’t live among Muslims as they have in the past.

  • ShunTheRightWhale

I know, it was Christians later that wanted them to be gone, but Israel wouldn’t accept foreign rule, especially not Muslim rule, so even a well meaning Caliph would have a problem… He called the country a “Western colonial entity” and said “Zionsim will be finished” then, because “Israel has no right to exist on Islamic land”, so he would most certain not be a well meaning Caliph and accept perhaps Israel’s status as an autonomous province, it sounded like Israel and that are some million Jews wouldn’t be allowed to stay there…

  • http://www.loonwatch.com Ilisha

Jews weren’t forced to leave Andalusia (not by Muslims anyway), where they enjoyed a Golden Age under Muslim rule.

  • ShunTheRightWhale

I asked, because these lands were once under Islamic rule, as once was the land now known as Israel… Would the Jews have to leave as did the Pieds-Noirs in Algeria? A worldwide Caliphate would be mostly the same as with Papal claim over entire Christianity and the world, it would not live up to its claim. History has created many divisions between various Muslim peoples, the strongest force would be probably a Pan-Arabistic Arab League, I don’t see any way Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey or Iran would join a centralized political power based in Arabia…

  • http://www.loonwatch.com Ilisha

I didn’t see a detailed or convincing answer.

So What is a Khalifa ? I have never met two muslims who agree on what constitutes Sharia so I dont suppose Khalifa would be much different .
As for the Kaliifa having a fair disribution of wealth please describe fair ? If it was fair I would support your efforts but how does that equate with zionism being finished ? Unless you mean the Kalifa includes Palestine ? Best of luck their mate .
The idea of opposition to the 1% is because they have an unfair amount of wealth so your question makes no sence to me . You cannot have a 1% plus have a fair system .

Most muslims support a khalifa- er …they do ? Any evidence for this ?

I would support ( I can only speak for myself ) any group for their right to self determination as long as they did not seek to opress others.

Reminds me of Soviet elections only the cross was already on the paper when you got it . Plus if you wanted to take your cross off you had to ask the KGB man for a pencil also giving your him name and adress

Just as American evangelicals use “Christian” to mean evangelical – such that Roman Catholics (for example) are not “Christians” to them, so Salafis use “Sunni” to mean Salafi.

  • http://www.loonwatch.com Ilisha

Because they are not obligated to. They are only obligated to their own country.

What do you mean they aren’t obligated to? Are they Muslims or not? They are not obligated to as part of their role in the monarchy but no one who is Muslim escapes his or her obligations as a Muslim. Muslims are helpers to each other, required to enjoin good and forbid evil…are one part of the body is sick the rest suffer…and so on. If that means nothing to them, then maybe it’s accurate when Muslims call them an “apostate regime.”

…spreading their own interpretation of Islam which from your exchange with Abu Aischa you appear to know little about.

I don’t know very much about the Saudi intepretation of Islam. Based on what I know so far, I don’t think I want to.

In fact, I know why some people are so harsh in their criticism of Salafis. It still doesn’t seem entirely fair, because there are different strains. I know Salafis who are not like this, and know them well as I’ve been under their tutelage for learning some topics. They were not like this.

Only in a Khilafa is a ruler OBLIGATED to all answer to all Muslims.

Answer to and care about are two different things. A Muslim should never be able to escape being a Muslim and all the moral obligations that come with being a Muslim. Casting aside your obligations because of some earthly authority bestowed on you in a monarchy would be a grave error. They don’t “answer to all Muslims,” but in the end, they will answer to God.

  • ShunTheRightWhale

What was and is “Islamic land”? Would this caliphate encompass the Iberian Peninsula and Silicy, too? Would it reach to the gates of Vienna? Would Papua Barat be part of it?
