‘King of Instagram’ Dan Bilzerian Arrested at LAX, Then Released From Custody

Dan Bilzerian, an extremely wealthy social media celebrity who has been called the “King of Instagram, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport late Tuesday, police said.

Bilzerian, 34, was booked at LAPD’s Pacific Division shortly after 10 p.m., jail records showed.

He was being held without bail, but was released at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday after charges were dropped, according to an official at the Los Angeles County jail’s inmate reception area.

According to LAPD Officer Jack Richter, Bilzerian had been arrested on a fugitive warrant out of Nevada.

He had faced felony charges in the state, including possessing or manufacturing explosive or incendiary devices, according to a criminal complaint filed in Las Vegas on Nov. 13.

Charges in that case were not dropped, Clark County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Audrie Locke said in an email to KTLA after Bilzerian’s released from custody in L.A. Locke said she had no information on why Bilzerian was released.

    Hey, thanks, feller

  • Friend of Bosnia

Not by Muslims but by ultranationalists, what you would call fascists today. And not so much for being Christian but, so they said, the Russians’ fifth column. Of course, like in all genocides the idea was to appropriate their land and belongings. And they thought they could do it with impunity, as nobody had objected to the expulsion and extermination of the Balkan Muslims in 1878 and 1912-13 either. Too bad they didn’t want to understand that two wrongs don’t make a right.
And yes, this IS about genocide against Muslims. Do you think when i post my own “J’accuse…!” against the Serb genocidal crusade in Bosnia I have to apologize for anything the Ottoman Turks did to the Serbs, long before even my grandfather was born? Whatever that was, it is no mitigation nor exoneration of what the Serbs did to Bosniaks in 1992-95! There can be no mitigation nor exoneration! Some idiot has demanded of me that whenever I talk about the anti-Bosniak genocide I should consider the Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide first. Why should I? Does that mitigate or exonerate the Serbs? So I insult the victims of the Holocaust when I say that the Serb genocidal crusade of 1992-95 was genocide? Because killing 80.000 out of a total of 2 million people is really nothing? Does anything Bosniaks did to Serbs during teh war make the Serb anti-Bosniak genocide undone? Certainly not! So, I need not apologize for ANYTHING!

Truth, as per the following definition from Merriam-Webster:

    truth, n.

“the real facts about something : things that are true

: the quality or state of being true

: a statement or idea that is true or accepted as true”

The author is asking you to do a pretty simple thought experiment: if Bilzerian were Muslim, it’s unlikely that this would be taken as a celebrity being nutty. Islamophobes (the correct spelling, by the way) would have a field day with it; folks like Spencer and Horowitz live for junk like that. But no one seems to have been concerned. Despite guys like McVeigh and the Unabomber in the past, it wouldn’t be treated seriously. It’s a pretty safe bet based on current media coverage of terrorism committed by Muslims and ‘lone gun men’ types.

Though speaking of fallacies: your use of a non sequitur in regards to questioning his education as a way to challenge his authority on such a subject is one,, even if it were true. Those in glass houses and all that.

Hate to tell you this, but, currently, the nation in the Caucasus with the worst reputation for abuse of women isn’t Chechnya, Ingushetia, Daghestan, or the Republic of Azerbaidzhan. It’s Armenia.

  • Reynardine

Do we get a complementary side of word salad with that brain omelette you just served up? Damn, I didn’t know this was table d’hôte!

  • GaribaldiOfLoonwatch

LOL, I hurt your little feelings. Do you understand what a fallacy is? Using words the way you do clearly indicates you don’t have any idea of the concepts behind them. You still have not gotten the point of “what if” stories. You don’t need to be in the non-artistic/social-science fields to get the import behind them, I’ll help you however, the point is: the evident double standards in reporting on cases relating to when a Christian/Hindu whatever has a bomb in his luggage and when a Muslim is suspected of such. Get it now?

  • GaribaldiOfLoonwatch

Armenia and Turkey have signed peace and trade accords and get along quite amenably. Yes, secular Turks instituted a policy of expulsion that resulted in the Ethnic cleansing of Armenians but that blame does not, as you try and indicate, reincarnate generations over and fall on the head of modern day Muslims worldwide. The Christian British and Americans (to name only a few countries) perfected massacres and genocides quite before the Turks, in industrialized fashion against colonial subjects, that far outstrip in number, degree and savageness anything Muslims can be accused of.

As for your persecution complex, I don’t care about it. This site relates the facts about Islamophobia and violence against Muslims, if you are too butt-hurt to accept then what are you doing here?

  • downwithpants

    Lol zing.

  • downwithpants

Lol but but what about the crusades? or the inquisition? Or the destruction of Iraq? Look Val this topic always gets dragged down to whom did what to whom. Doesn’t bring the dead back.. yes this site is dedicated to attacks on muslims and the authors are quite unapologetic about it….however there are some feel good stories from time to time. So in the words of the EDL if you don’t like it….leave.

  • Iekyll

  • Yausari

That’s it? Where are the talk shows, the front pages and the self-induce speculation by ‘experts’?
