Donald Trump Says there is a Muslim Problem, Wants Obama’s Birth Certificate

Donald Trump is gearing up to run for president and is attempting to play to the uber-Conservative base of the Republican party. He questions Obama’s birth certificate, says “it might say he’s Muslim,” and also thinks there is a “Muslim problem,” to buttress this point he says he has been opposed to the “Ground Zero” mosque since the beginning. Talk about opportunist, if you look in the dictionary it might have Donald Trump’s sleaze ball face next to the definition.

Trump: World Has a ‘Muslim Problem’

by Hiram Reisner (Newsmax)

O’Reilly asked Trump whether there is a Muslim problem in the world.

“Absolutely, absolutely — I don’t notice Swedish people knocking down the World Trade Center,” Trump said. “I came out very strongly against the mosque being built virtually across the street.

“The fact is, it was so insensitive when they announced the mosque in that location,” he said. “Don’t forget, that’s my territory — Manhattan. When they announced the mosque in that location, I couldn’t believe it.”

Trump said although there is a world Muslim problem, it does not reflect on all Muslims.

“And that’s the sad part about life, because you have fabulous Muslims — I know many Muslims, and they are fabulous people, they’re smart, they’re industrious,” he said. “Unfortunately, at this moment in time, there is a Muslim problem in the world.”

Turning to the issue of Obama’s birth, Trump said at first he hadn’t contested the president was born in Hawaii, but circumstances made him think twice. He also said it is wrong to demonize people who question the need for Obama to produce proof.

“People have birth certificates . . . now, he may have one, but there is something on that birth certificate — maybe religion, maybe it says he’s a Muslim — or he may not have one,” Trump said. “But I will tell you this: If he wasn’t born in this country, it’s one of the great scams of all time.”

  • It’s been clear for a very long time that Obama has a core set of beliefs that he religiously (no pun intended) sticks to. Trouble is, he doesn’t seem to realize that his ideas have destroyed everything they have touched repeatedly throughout history. It’s alright… if we survive until next year, the difficult road to Reconstruction -I use that word on purpose- can begin.

  • Trump needs to concentrate on his life and figure out why he had two failed marriages.Who wants a president to run a country when he can’t run a home?(Just saying.)….

“But I will tell you this: If he wasn’t born in this country, it’s one of the great scams of all time.”

Really? That’s how I think about your hair.

I desperately want to make a witty “you’re fired” reference here at Trump’s expense. Yet, I fail. Help me out.

  • Mosizzle and Dawood,

I really think west actually skims through Armed forces websites, forums, chat rooms, and blogs for his info. And I am sure these sources are themselves informed by the likes of sites like “JihadWatch”. That blunder with the non-existent Arabic word “naqeesh” reminds of how Iraqis and Somalis got labeled as hajjis.

They attached a pejorative meaning to a term that has high honor for Muslims. I think that that armed forces slang and West’s mistake are indicative of how Western armed forces twist what they hear of/from the natives and return to their respective countries acting as “experts” on Islam and/or Arab culture. Like I said, they’re over there killing people and trying not to get killed, not making jumu’a salat in a masjid or sitting in the circles of the mashaykh. They’re too busy trying to save us from ourselves and bring us the light of Freedom and Democracy, remember 🙂 , not trying to learn our religion and culture and respect it.

“Right on Mosizzle… and “naqeesh” doesn’t even exist as a word either. The root “naqasha” means to paint/decorate, with other cognates meaning to debate or argue about something contentious. And we know his whole platform is nothing but controversy, so maybe it was a Freudian slip!”

LOL, quite possibly a Freudian slip!!

“Lol, I did a google search for Manqueesh and somehow ended up browsing Jihadwatch and other Islamophobic websites where cases of food poisoning at Kebab shops had been reported as “food jihad”. Spencer suggested that some of these tactics are part of Al-Qaeda’s training manual.”

LOL. What will they come up with next?, ‘ treat non-Muslims with love and respect jihad”? Oh wait…that’s a example of taqiyya, right. 🙂

  • Yes Khushboo, they are using a script/manual. I think this “script” coalesced when the works of the Orientalists and Islamophobic Missionaries were combined to form a neo-Orientalist meta-narrative. Mass communication(especially) the internet has allowed your average Joe/Jane access to this material. It’s much easier than engaging the Islamic tradition on their own.

Are there any links to a newspaper story about your community’s troubles with the Islamophobes? I looked for some for my story, but an internet search didn’t pick up one. I am surprised the mainstream media hasn’t picked this up yet, neither the Islamophobic outlets. Maybe the search engine placement hasn’t put this story high up yet and I’m too lazy to look. In any event if I revealed where I got this story(it was in our city’s newspapers), I would have revealed where I live 🙂

As for Allen West, I am not sure if he really believes the stuff he spews, especially with the massive amount of ‘taqiyya” involved.I can’t tell whether West is an actual Islamophobic loon or an unscrupulous politician who is using the existing anti-Muslim bigotry in our state to further his career. I can’t figure what’s worse.

Here is an example of how loony our state has become. Near my University there are two masjids. In this city one can find a church or synagogue on nearly every corner. There is a section of road that we call “Church Row” because there are 5 side by side churches and one synagogue along the street. when the first Masjid was to be built, as we wanted out of our “strip mall mosque”, there were massive complaints culminating in a website and a few blogs dedicated to “exposing” the leaders of our Masjid. All accusations came to naught and the school and it’s musalla, which serves as our Masjid, was established, while the actual Masjid is still being built right behind the school. Another Masjid was slated to be built and the community was in an uproar. Two masjids in a city with hundreds of churches! “Why do they need another mosque!”, people complained. “They?” It never crossed their minds that the Shi’a community might want a masjid too!(our masjid is a Sunni masjid).

  • Khushboo

@Haqq, Islamophobes are now back to talking about “abrogation” and insulting a couple of our members in the community as well and calling them “Liars” when they mentioned verses from the Quran. One of them actually used Nonie Darwish as a reference to support her argument. Now that’s hilarious!

These haters are all speaking the same language which sounds like they’re organized but very transparent. It’s obvious they’re told what to say and do; not use their own brains. Perhaps they’re afraid that if they use their brains, nothing but hatred of Muslims will spill out ruining their cover. LOL As if we don’t know!

Of course, Spencer couldn’t quote from the Quran or Hadith, because Islam forbids the poisoning of wells even during wartime (and this could be expanded to include the food supply as well).
