Geert Wilders in Nashville at the Cornerstone Church
The Southern United States and the Midwest have been ravaged by violent forces of nature in the past few weeks; massive flooding has threatened to erase whole communities from Tennessee to Alabama, and over the past few days behemoth-like tornadoes, whipping in fury and frenzy swallowed and spit out whole towns.
The cataclysmic events of the Rapture predicted by Christian radio broadcaster Harold Camping may not have come to pass but these tragedies have altered lives forever, and our thoughts and prayers should be with those affected. I encourage everyone to contribute in whatever way they can to relief and support efforts in those regions.
“Heartland USA” as this region is otherwise known is too often ignored, some forget that beyond the confines of our large urban cities there is a whole other America that is rural, conservative and vibrant.
It is here that another force has taken hold and is setting up the perfect storm of intolerance, bigotry, racism, xenophobia and hatred.
This force is a product of the wedding of Islamophobia across the Atlantic, between right-leaning populist politicians and Christian and Israeli/Jewish Zionists that has led to a feverous increase in anti-Democracy and anti-Muslim activity.
This is the real monster that should worry us, not some eight-headed dragon beast that might emerge from the sea and usher in the Second Coming of Christ.
Extremism on our Shores
On May 12, 2011 in Madison, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, Geert Wilders readily accepted an invitation from the Tennessee Freedom Coalition to speak at Cornerstone Church, a mega church with regular attendance exceeding 3,900 weekly. LW received exclusive video from Rob, a fan of LoonWatch who attended the event and taped the speeches of Wilders, Lou Ann Zelenik and Andy Miller. He was so upset by what he saw that he immediately sent us the footage he captured.
Wilders speech was a diatribe against Islam and Muslims in which all the familiar talking points were rehashed but with a little extra venom, undoubtedly playing to the sentiments of the crowd.
LW Exclusive: Shocking Video of Geert Wilders Hate Speech on US Soil Part 1:
Geert Wilders: “Its Islam Stupid (raucous applause). We must stop the Islamization of our countries, more Islam means less freedom”…”And now, now Europe is looking slowly but gradually like Arabia”…”It was the land of our fathers, it is our land now, it is our values, our values are based on Christianity, Judaism and Humanism and not Islam, it is that simple (applause)”…”and I have a message for all those people who want to rob us from our freedoms, and my message is stay in your own country (loud applause)”…”we are not going to allow Islam to steal our country from us (applause)”…”if Jerusalem falls, Athens, Rome, Amsterdam and Nashville will fall therefore my point is we all are Israel (applause)”…”the only place where Christians are safe in the Middle East is that beautiful country called Israel (loud applause)”…”Make no mistake, please make no mistake, Islam is also coming to America, in fact Islam already is in America. America is facing a stealth jihad, the Islamic attempt to introduce Sharia’ law bit by bit”…”what we need my friends, what we need to turn the tide is a spirit of resistance, what we need I repeat it again is a spirit of resistance”…”we must repeat it over and over again, especially to our children, our Western values and culture based on Christianity and Judaism is better and superior to the Islamic culture (applause), and leaders who talk about immigration without mentioning Islam are blind (applause)”…”we must stop the immigration from non-Western countries and we must forbid the construction of new hate palaces called mosques (applause)”…”the press calls it an Arab spring, I call it unfortunately an Arab winter (applause), Islam and freedom, Islam and democracy are incompatible (applause)”…”the so called Prophet Muhammad was a terrorist worse than Bin Laden ever was (applause)”…”neutrality my friends, neutrality in the face of evil is evil itself (applause).”
Why is a mega-church, an institution that professes to follow the teachings of Christ hosting such a hate-mongerer in the heartland of the USA? What is the Tennessee Freedom Coalition and why is it paying an extremist foreign politician who undermines “freedom” to speak at a Church? What are the ramifications for the rest of the West, the USA in particular when such an extremist is given a platform to incite hate?
Cornerstone Church
This mega-church is a bit like a franchise corporation. It has two locations: one in Bowling Green, Kentucky and the other in Madison, Tennessee. It is led by Senior Pastor Maury Davis,
Pastor Maury Davis was arrested at age eighteen for the crime of first-degree murder. Following his trial and conviction, he served eight and one-half years in the Texas Department of Corrections. During his incarceration, Pastor Davis found his Savior in Jesus Christ and led a revival among his fellow prisoners.
Can anyone imagine what would happen if say Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf had a rap sheet similar to Pastor Davis? Pamela Geller would be doing back flips through Manhattan.
Aside from boasting about its large attendance, the Church also has a Starbucks-esque Coffee shop and other amenities for the Faith-full shopper. It successfully marries capitalism and religion and also adds an ultra-extra helping of Nationalism.
When nearing the Church, the first thing one notices is the strikingly gargantuan American flag in front of the Church:

Inside the Church the backdrop is red, white and blue and the colors surround a white modern looking Cross that reminds one more of the lapel pin worn by Captain Kirk on Star Trek than a cross. I guess they really want you to know they are patriots.
The Church’s philosophy is based on a literal belief in the Bible. They are certainly evangelical and reaffirm the theology of the “millennial reign of Christ,” i.e. the Rapture or the-floating-into-the-sky version of the End Times.
They believe that the Bible, “both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).”

Danios wrote in his “Understanding Jihad” series about how most American Christians believe the above, and it adds further credence to his recent article, “The ‘But that’s just the Old Testament’ Cop-out.”
Tennessee Freedom Coalition
The Tennessee Freedom Coalition, led by Lou Ann Zelenik and Andy Miller is a right-wing organization that can be considered a part of the Tea Party Movement, the base of the GOP. The addition of the TFC to the long list of GOP organizations can be considered one more dark stain in the history of the Tennessee GOP. It was not long ago that their members were making racist remarks about the president:
On top of the racism, homophobia isn’t far behind, the Republican governor of Tennessee has until June 1st to consider an “anti-Gay bill that would prohibit the passage of anti-discrimination laws protecting LGBT individuals.”
Tennessee also happens to be the state where we have seen a rise in hate against Muslims (in fact it is quickly becoming the center of anti-Muslim hate). Courts have been considering whether Islam is a religion, lawmakers are likely to pass a “Ban Sharia’ law” bill inspired by a documented racist and extremist Zionist named David Yerushalmi. It is scene to the Murfreesboro mosque struggle which made headlines this past summer. A year ago Pamela Geller was a headline speaker for the Tennessee Tea Party convention, talk about insane.
For its part the Tennessee Freedom Coalition was passing out this pamphlet at the Church:

How do you promote tolerance by “fighting” a religion? What they really mean to say in light of Wilders speech is, “Promote Religious Tolerance by Working to Stop the Growth of Islam,” which is like saying “promote tolerance by being intolerant.” Obviously this puts Muslims, you know, those who practice Islam in quite the bind.
LW Exclusive: Shocking Video of Geert Wilders Hate Speech on US Soil Part 2:
Conclusion
This is not the first time Geert Wilders has spoken at the pulpit, previously he spoke at Synagogues and at Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller’s SIOA 9/11 hate rally. However his presence amongst 3,000 admiring followers on US soil is not only reprehensible, it is a development that bodes ill for all of us.
It will only increase the radicalization of the anti-Muslim movement which seeks at its fundamental level to curtail freedom of religion and expression, first the rights of Muslims (soft target) and then anyone else they disagree with.
A word must also be said about Wilders obsessive citation of Israel. It is a country which he boasts about visiting over “forty times” and which he cites as a paragon of virtue, freedom, liberty, justice and light. He cites the security of Israel as one of the reasons that the West must fight Islam.
Lets forget the war crimes, human rights violations and apartheid policies in Israel for a second and really look at the hate that is emerging in its name. Individuals and organizations with deep connections to Israel, both network-wise and theologically are calling for the destruction of Islam which they regard as evil incarnate.
Aubrey Chernick (one of the leading funders of Islamophobia), Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders, David Horowitz, Brigitte Gabriel, Allen West, the BNP, EDL, SIOE, SIOA, BPE, JDL, large numbers of Christian and Jewish Zionists and others believe that as long as you are fervently pro-Israel you can be as anti-Islam/Muslim as you want without suffering any consequences. Such a position at the end of the day only harms Jewish moral interests, and this much has been expressed by brave voices such as Not in Our Name, Jews without Borders, Muzzlewatch, Richard Silverstein, Max Blumenthal, our very own loonwatcher Gefilte, Glenn Greenwald and others.
The spectacle of a racist, anti-Muslim Dutch politician arriving on our shores to warn us about Islam is quite ironic, but what is most disturbing is the reception he received from a large audience of Americans. It may seem far-fetched now but one day Geert Wilders or someone like him (Allen West?) may move on from addressing thousands of Church goers to addressing Congress–the question is will he receive as many applauses as Benjamin Netanyahu?

I hate people who use patriotism as an excuse to hate
May 26th, 2011 at 11:14 am
Wow… I’m speechless that this type of hatred is espoused in the “land of the free”…
Islam is only a threat to those who don’t understand it, to those who think that its an “us vs. them” paradigm when its really zealots on both sides that are pitting us all against one another. There is no us or them, there is just people… The lives of a Afghan family, hit by a drone, is worth no less than that of a 9/11 victim hit by a 747. Its time that we the people of the planet earth wake up and realize that taghoots exist in all facets of government, foreign and domestic, that religious zealots, misconstruing scripture, exist on all sides of all faiths, and that all would like to harm those who live peacefully and espouse their faith as such.
Hats off to the cameraman and the editors as well. LW should get an oscar for this

Sounds like a nazi rally to me
May 26th, 2011 at 12:04 pm
It was the equivalent of a Nazi rally, I was scared to be there. There were lots of crazy supremacists there and not all of them were white though 98% were.
May 26th, 2011 at 12:20 pm
Please dear God make Wilders live a country ruled by the laws of the Old Testament… Please please
May 26th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
This is very similar to a Hitler Nazi rally. Remember folks this is just the beginning…the real warning should be about Geert types.
May 26th, 2011 at 12:56 pm
He made me physically sick. I wish I was making that up, but I wretched several times watching his speech. Such bile. Such vitriolic hate. How can anyone listen to someone talking like that about anyone and not fear for the speaker’s soul?
I’m glad I don’t live in Tennessee right now…
Salaam Alaikum and Jazekallah Khair,

It angers me when people like him go on about what a becon of light Israel is, and how they are a true democracy, and how Arabs have so much rights there.
I bet not a single of these hate mongering bigots have ever actually met a Palestinian, or spent a day with them have they? Compare that to people like Norman Finkelstein, Haaretz Reporter Amira Haas, who have spent time and even lived with Palestinians. Both of them Jews, yet never received any hostility directed there way, no Arab slit their throat because they were Jewish – a far cry from what people like Geller would have people believe.
People that have never met muslims, don’t know any or even set foot amongst the people Israel is oppressing talks as though they know so much. They spit on the suffering of the Palestinians. They enjoy it and they deny their suffering.
Breaking the Silence, Israeli Physicians for Human Rights, BT’Salem, these are some of the true Israeli champions of human rights and defenders of justice.
What he said is clerly incitement against Muslims. He should be banned from ever setting foot in America. It was hate speech, he was clearly encouraging violence in a very subtle way. What other message are you sending when you tell people they need to rise up and fight back against the growing Islamic threat? What he said sounded no different to stuff i’ve heard leaders of White Supremacist Neo Nazi groups have made during their hatefest rallies.
Infact, I’m gonna see if i can get a transcript of any speeches made by White Spremacists and make a comparison with what he wrote, if i can.
May 26th, 2011 at 1:02 pm
Say, Garibaldi, you forgot a crucial adjective in your list of the attributes of the perfect storm now forming in Heartland USA: ignorance. I mean, sure, it goes without saying that many Americans living in the Heartland are intolerant, bigoted, racist, xenophobic and hateful, but we mustn’t forget ignorant. Today, for instance, these folks are quite probably drawing ignorant conclusions regarding the Religion of Peace and its busy work of the last few days including the killing of two policemen in Indonesia, the suicide truck bomber in Pakistan, the roadside bomb that killed ten in Afghanistan, etc…But keep up the good work; with the help of fine fellows like yourself we may soon-once and for all-shut up people like Mr. Wilders who have the temerity to point out such incidents.
May 26th, 2011 at 1:10 pm
Which part of his speech was untrue?
May 26th, 2011 at 1:24 pm
Wow…so many lies, distortions, hatred and bile to address…where can we begin?
America is turning very ugly. I hope and pray that true Christians will not be taken in by this evil propaganda, and resist the Islamophobe’s lies, hatred and recognize it for what it is.
This, my friends, is the clear, unvarnished face of Fascism. The rhetoric is the same, the invocation of “Gott mit uns”, the victim mentality with a minority blamed for the world’s evil…all of it is vintage fascism.
One particular lie I’ll briefly address: “if Jerusalem falls, Athens, Rome, Nashville will fall”. What a crock!!! Jerusalem was under Islamic rule for centuries before Israeli occupation, only briefly falling into Christian hands. Where was Israel to defend the west at that time? NONEXISTENT!! (And the Jews were under the “enlightened” thumb of the “Christian” west that treated them always with such love and kindness, don’tcha know.) But this “domino theory” was used to fight against “godless communism” as well, and it was proven utterly false. Communism failed, not because we held the commies back from taking over Vietnam (we didn’t, in case you don’t remember), but because it was far weaker than the west ever pretended it to be.
IMO, the greatest threat to the American way of life–the way of freedom and liberty–comes not from “strange” religions or “strange” people…it comes from those forces within who have always been waiting at the wings, to throw out the hard-won enlightenment values of the Revolution and replace them with a “Christian” theocracy (all the time pretending this was the “founder’s original intent”).
Frankly, it seems as though the Republican party has been taken over by these zealots…and God help us all (not just America, but the rest of the world that will no doubt be affected) if they gain more power.
[/RANT]
May 26th, 2011 at 1:34 pm
Hooper, I’m not sure if you know who in drawing the incorrect conclusions from limited “police blotter” reports like you gave.
Tell me, did Afghanistan invade NATO countries? Did Iraq invade the US? Did the Palestinians invade and take a Jewish nation? Did Pakistani peasants support brutal dictators in America?
Of course, those darn Muslims are just irrational, being pissed off at minor details like invasion, having democratically-elected governments overthrown by the outside and replaced with CIA-approved dictators, etc…Such crybabies.
And of course, in America, NO ONE has ever killed a cop or tried to blow up other people. And NO ONE in an Islamic country ever helped a stranger, fed the starving, worked in a hospital or gave to the poor. That’s right, Islam is against all those things, isn’t it?
I pity you, my poor deluded Hooper. I hope your hatred keeps you warm at night.
May 26th, 2011 at 1:46 pm
Hopper:
In other words, Wilders is capitalizing on the deaths of Muslims thousands of miles away in order to spread hatred against Muslims. Doesn’t that seem a bit warped to you? Especially when you consider that there is no shortage of Islamophobes who have expressed genocidal anti-Muslim sentiment, from Pamela Geller to Michael Savage. This shows that many of Wilders’ fans aren’t really concerned about terrorism, but rather simply expressing their insatiable hatred.
May 26th, 2011 at 1:47 pm
That’s scary stuff. Replace Islam with Jewry and you’ve got a Goebbels speech there. Surely this is taking freedom of speech to it’s limits? Free speech must be based on fact & truth if it’s going to address race/religion etc. This is incitement. What will some knuckle-dragging rednecks construe a ‘spirit of resistance’ to be? This makes MY blood boil, what must young American Muslims think watching this? Who needs radical ‘clerics’ when you’ve got this to radicalize people. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy, which is probably what they want. Alienate, demonise, ostracize, divide & conquer, sit back and say I told you so. Rant over!
May 26th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
Daniel,
OK you don’t agree with his “domino theory”, but I found your argument for that completely unconvincing – I repeat, which part of his speech was untrue?
May 26th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
Why is this DUTCH citizen not being sued by the Dutch people for being a traitor and consorting with American Zionist extremists.
Loon Watch, please keep the Aubrey Chernick article on top, preferably on the front page. Ultimately, he funds the Horowitz Foundation, which Geller, Spencer, frontpagemag. are part of, and all these fifth columnists support Geert Wilders
His funding comes from these extremists, not the Dutch
May 26th, 2011 at 2:32 pm
Enemies,
He is being sued by the dutch government, not the people, a large majority support Wilders. The prosecution case is collapsing again, because they come armed with the might of the dutch judiciary, but Wilders comes armed with the truth.
May 26th, 2011 at 3:02 pm
Great exclusive piece. Geeeert Wilders is an icon of hate, and he is inspiring a lot of crazies out there.
Times are only going to get tougher in the near future, but there is hope as long as you keep exposing these nutbags.
May 26th, 2011 at 3:10 pm
Haaha…the best comment I’ve seen on this vid. yet: “Didn’t Paul warn of the ‘fall of Nashville’ in First Corinthians?”
May 26th, 2011 at 3:12 pm
I am so-oo-oo very thankful for the last two minutes of that video. Otherwise, I think that hate-speech and incitement to kill would have made it very difficult to enjoy my day. Instead, I was left with hope. The power of peaceful resistance will always be stronger than the forces of hatred. Fighting AGAINST something will never be more sustainable than working FOR something. The struggle for social justice for all people has never been more powerful, which is why all of the haters are doubling down their efforts. It’s Custer’s last stand all over again.

Which part of his speech was untrue?
This question is bit absurd. Seriously, if you can’t indentify at least one falsity in his speech, then you suffer from paranoid delusions. Anyways, here is an example of an untrue thing Geert said:
America is facing a stealth jihad, the Islamic attempt to introduce Sharia’ law bit by bit…
This claim is reminiscent of the old anti-Semitic fabrication, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. That shouldn’t surprise anyone because the main difference between Islamophobes and anti-Semites is the target of their hatred. The truth is that traditional Islamic law doesn’t purport that Muslims should work secretly to subvert the governments of their countries of residence. In fact, the opposite is true; American Muslims must obey the laws of the United States.
May 26th, 2011 at 3:29 pm
>Which part of his speech was untrue?
>This question is bit absurd.
How can a question be absurd? A question is just a question, it doesn’t state anything. That’s why it is a question.
I find your answer, quickly labelling the question as absurd, a symptom of lack of reasoning. If you are confident about your opinion you reply the question naturally, rather than go around it by calling it absurd.
Now I don’t know where you guys live, I live in a muslim neghbourhood in Malmö. You have no idea what it’s like. It’s no fairy tale. Gunfire every other day, fights, gangs assaulting kids on the street, last week there was an execution in broad day light. The number of rapes is skyrocketing.
But you’re probably are all privileged, you can still afford to be intellectual tolerant people. Wait until you see it with your own eyes.
Also, the guy on the video lives under a 24/7 security curtain, can only see his family once a week and doesn’t sleep in the same house more than a couple of days in a row. I don’t think he would put himself into that pressure just for the sake of being a racist.
But well, believe in whatever you want. I am a socialist and leftist myself, just thought I would let you guys now that, before you start calling me a fascist.
May 26th, 2011 at 3:57 pm
This racist is saying partly true. There are more and more westerners are embracing islam, specially women. Think, why? The world is moving towards islam. As it has the solution of the problem of the west. I request all to study Quran with full context to see weather any of his claim is true. If you really believe in freedom of speech, why don’t you aggange a live tv debate on BBC, CNN , and fox between him and any Islamic scollar.
May 26th, 2011 at 4:11 pm
Mohammad…why don’t you aggange a live tv debate on BBC, CNN , and fox between him and any Islamic scollar.
Scholars’ aren’t necessarily good rhetoricians. If you want somebody to debate on behalf on Islam on live TV, get someone who is not only knowledgeable but also an effective communicator. Shabir Ally comes to mind.

you obviously are a stupid and blinb ignoramus. The dutch do NOT support his zionist extremist views. The dutch have a problem with immigration, and since the appearence of serious politicials like j cohen, Wilders is losing steam
” The prosecution case is collapsing again, because they come armed with the might of the dutch judiciary, but Wilders comes armed with the truth.”
He came armed with propoganda, paid for by right wing Zionists. Check the back section of Loon watch, maybe the others here can post links showing how Wilders paid by Zionists, namely Daniel pipes who is funding his defence,

I don’t think anyone here will deny that Muslims do commit random acts of violence. However, what we disagree with is all of us being written off as extremists, or having these incidents pinned to our religion, where other extremists aren’t associated with their religion.
For instance, on my campus, we’ve had a string of burglaries and sexual assaults, and all of them have been committed by blacks. Blacks, like most Muslims, won’t deny that African Americans do bad things. They just dislike it being linked to the perpetrator being black. There are a number of confounding factors, like socio-economic status, that need to be accounted for.
Your denial of people wanting to bring shariah law to the US is patently ludicrous – check out Ibrahim Hooper’s (CAIR spokesman’s) assertion that he would like exactly that.
Could you hook me up with a link?
I don’t know what the hullabaloo about “creeping shariah” is. Is there any serious implementation of shariah law in the criminal system right now? There was an article here that detailed how this whole fear is completely fabricated, but I can’t seem to find it.
May 26th, 2011 at 4:38 pm
Man, if i could get a hold of half these quotes just by clikcing on wilders bio on loonwatch, that would be awesome. Instead of just the latest article.
Everyone seems to have forgotten, or gloss over that wilders said “freedom of religion should not extend to islam”
He now publically says he never said anything like that (even though he did, and did it again in his speech at the church)
May 26th, 2011 at 4:44 pm
justObserving, you apparently live in a ghetto. your neighborhood is neither a microcosm nor an example of Islam, in any way. get a grip.
May 26th, 2011 at 4:47 pm
Muslims need to find a way to educate America about Islam. The true, traditional, orthodox context of this beautiful Deen needs to be unapologetically presented by practicing Muslims in this country. The first call is the Oneness of God. This is the call of all of the Prophets, and should be the focus. When rational, open-hearted people compare the concept of Tawheed (Strict Monotheism) with the confusing concept of the Trinity, they should be able to see the difference.
Guys like Deert McGeert are just secular humanists exploiting conservative religious folks’ fears and prejudices. It’s time for Muslims to find a way to lead the discussion, and present the truth about Islam. Allah will aid us if we’re sincere.
May 26th, 2011 at 4:56 pm
Does the State Department keep track of this stuff. It looks like the SPLC has found another hate group to add to the list they have. Truly despicable stuff.
I only wish this crowd knew how stupid Geert thinks they are. He looks down on them, and is trying to play them like a fiddle.

Most people know insanity when they see it. Or, am I supposed to believe that Muslim hordes are going to take over the United States any day now? And what about Geert’s ridiculous comments about the imminent takeover of “Athens, Rome, Amsterdam and Nashville” if “Jerusalem falls?” This is a man who thinks Muslims are primitive and savage, and conversely warns that they might conquer several powerful Western countries. Newsflash: it isn’t Muslims who are occupying Israelis or Americans, but vice versa.

LOL. Geert Wilders hates Lefties with a passion. In fact, whatever you claim you are facing in Malmo is blamed on the Left by Wilders. According to him “the Left is facilitating Islamization”, “Leftists, liberals, are cheering for every new shariah bank being created, for every new shariah mortgage, for every new islamic school, for every new shariah court” and “Leftists are thrilled” at Europe getting more “impoverished thanks to mass immigration”.
Tell me, JO, are you really unaware of the accusations the man that you are defending has made against you?

he has no rights to talk about our beloved prophet. the more is islam is tried to be oppressed the more it spreads Alhamdullilah
May 26th, 2011 at 7:17 pm
Frankly, I do not consider Geert Wilders’ speech as being hateful but merely realistic.
Understandably, the Muslims that post comments to this topic are trying to defend their religion. Also understandably, those of other religious persuasions are trying to protect themselves and their families against Jihadists.
In the middle of this and many other controversies, one will always find those that are left from the demise of the left, on a lookout for a replacement for the fast disappearing maneuvering mass, otherwise baptized the proletariat. And supporting Muslim extremists is the only alternative left open before the Marxist concept implodes forever.
History, since the seventh to the twenty first century, proves how difficult it is for Islam to peacefully coexist with other religions. And this means that “offense is the best defense” for the Western nations when faced with present danger. Since the War of Civilizations has been declared for so many centuries already, it is imperative for Muslims to prove that they are a religion of peace, as they claim, rather than a religion of war and death, as non-Muslims emphatically affirm.
As the old American slang states, “the ball is in the Muslim court”. They have to prove that Sharia and many of the barbaric habits they embraced over the years – like honor killing, women slavery, polygamy, etc. and etc. – can be totally discarded in order to afford Muslims a complete integration in other societies where they like so much to live and prosper. This simple but apparently a near impossible solution might help prevent WW3 or a variation thereof.

Let me see if I understand you. Are you claiming that Islam supports these activities, namely random gunfire, fights, assault, extrajudicial executions and rape? That banning the construction of Mosques, for example, will help prevent such activities?
Don’t get me wrong…I am quite certain that some who are nominal Muslims may do these activities, just as nominal Christians do the same. But Islam, by no stretch of Robert Spencer’s fetid imagination, supports these activities.
In fact, just the opposite is true: if nominal Muslims started getting serious about their religion, they would stop doing these things–just as nominal Christians who decided to get serious about their religion would stop doing those things as well.
Your example, far from making Islam the problem, points to Islam as the solution.

propagating his stupid, abusive rants against Islam & Muslims this COWARD has lost all sense of right & wrong. sometimes i wonder if he is mentally challenged or high on drugs…but calling him mentally challenged would be wrong because people with mental disorders are usually innocent and unaware of their actions, but this geert coward seems to be on a crusade to prove right wrong …loser can’t stand Muslims because they remind him how pathetic his life is.

Strange comment…since you agree that Wilders’ “domino theory” was untrue, then it follows that that part of his speech was untrue as well.
In addition, his comments about “stealth jihad” are completely unfounded, paranoid assertions.
Likewise, his characterizations of Mosques as centers of hate and terror is bigoted and untrue.
I could go on, if you’d like…

“Times are only going to get tougher in the near future”
I guess when the most perfectly Shari’ah society in human history – Gaza – earlier this month aimed their Islamic weapon at a yellow school bus in order to kill a disabled Jewish child, that was tough as well?
Of course not as tough as the arabic post-it-note from THE BOWELS OF HELLL!!!! . . . ooooohhhh . . . . scccarrrryyyyy
Its just incredible to me to wake up each morning with the news of another few hundred or few thousand innocent people butchered in blood sacrifice to your god Mohammed. Mostly Kuffar women and children. And then turn around and read the headchoppers, like “moderate” American Muslim leader Muzzammil Hassan, whine about Islamaphobia.
May 26th, 2011 at 7:52 pm
Same question for Mohammed, back up *any* of your statements. Come on, be a man! Can’t be that hard can it? I mean, it’s so obvious that everything you say is true! You get a lollipop if you manage even one
May 26th, 2011 at 8:05 pm
sigh….tired of correcting these illiterates who pop up with same lines of ignorance that “Muslims worship prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as god!” this every child from age of maturity will realize that MUSLIMS are the true monotheistic people in the current world. They believe in one true God and worship none but God.
Muslims are the real victims of state sponsored terrorism in different parts of the world, and here this fool is making us look like terrorists….wonder where he’s been thumb sucking all his ‘rants’ from….too much of video games and TV i guess!

1. No one ever said Gaza was the most perfect Shariah society in history. It’s not even a “Shariah society” to begin with.
2. The killing of non-combatant civilians, women, children, and the elderly is forbidden in Islamic laws of warfare. Nothing Hamas or any other misguided group does or says will change that fact. The violence against civilians perpetrated by Palestinians is morally wrong, just as the violence against civilians committed by the Zionist State is morally wrong (with a far greater death toll).
3. If you think Post It notes are the extent of the hatred and violence Muslims face these days, you need a clue. This seemingly small gesture of hatred represents a growing hostility towards Islam and Muslims. How about all the Muslim civilians who have lost loved ones to collateral damage or outright aggression? That is something that is pretty scary to me.
4. Where are you getting these crazy numbers from? Few hundred? Few thousand? What are you even referring to?
5. The thing is that these crazy Khawarij extremists kill more Muslims than Non-Muslims with their random bombings and mass murder. Islam is free from this sick ideology, and these nuts have been refuted by the major Islamic scholars for years.
May Allah guide you and straighten your affairs.

My bad, I misunderstood bonusball911′s comment that he thought the domino theory was bunk.
Well, bb, I hardly think that Israel is what stands between the “Muslim hordes” and the “enlightened Christian west.” Think for a moment: since at least the 17th century, has Europe been vulnerable to imminent Islamic takeover? For over three hundred years, who has gained power and who has lost it–the Islamic world or the west?
How about recent history…who invaded and colonized Palestine: western Jews (aided by western powers) or the Muslims? Who was invaded–the USA and UK, or Iraq? Who toppled a legitimately elected democratic government and installed a dictator–did Iran do that to the USA, or vice-versa? Who set up concentration camps and colonized a weak nation–Fascist Italy or Lybia?
I could go on and on. It is simply ludicrous to suggest that the west is in imminent danger from Islam and only plucky little Israel keeps everything okey-dokey.

I cannot believe some people (comments above) are continuing to spew hatred. That’s what this article is all about. About how horrible it is for someone to speak the way Geert Wilders did. I mean, this is the kind of stuff terrorists say to instill so much fear in the hearts of people that they’d start hating a group of people to the extreme. His words should be boo-ed not applauded. Applauding at what he says means giving birth to terrorism…do Americans really want to become terrorists??

Every claim Geert Wilder has claimed about Zionist Israel is a big lie. to expose and refute the lies is easy. Just check the writing of any one of the following self-respecting and conscientious Jewish writers/authors,concerning Israel:
Alfred Lilienthal,author and commentator(deceased).
Elmer Burger,Rabbi(deceased).
Yuri Avnery, former member in Israel’s Parliament.
Victor Ostrovsky, former agent of Israel’s Massad.
IIan Pappe,Historian.
Tom Segev,Historian.
Norman Finkelstein,scholar.
Noam Chomsky,scholar.
Amira Hass,journalist.
Glenn Greenwald,journalist.
Gedeon Levy,journalist.
The above list is the tip of the iceberg.
However, the most effective non-Jewish writer who exposes the lies of Geert Wilder cocerning Israel is former President Jimy Carter in his “Peace Not Apartheid”

For those of you who havn’t seen the BBC documentary that highlights the Zionist extremists who fund Geert Wilders, you can view at Youtube below.
http://www.iengage.org.uk/component/content/article/1-news/1232-geert-wilders-europes-most-dangerous-man
The programme moves to cover details of the influence of Zionism and Israel on the thinking and politics of Wilders, as well as the support (financial and otherwise) of extreme Zionists for Wilders and his party. The main foreign policies of Wilders’ party are pro- Israel.
The programme introduces ‘Robert’, who is part of the ultra-Zionist ‘Jewish Task Force’, whose founder, Chaim Ben Pesach, is said to be a convicted terrorist. On the programme, Pesach is shown presenting an extreme anti-Islamic video in which he accuses Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) of promoting forced conversions and the extermination of ‘infidels’.
‘Robert’ and Pesach assert their complete support for Wilders with Pesach claiming that he has “the utmost respect” for Wilders.
The programme highlights that Daniel Pipes, board member of the Zionist Organisation of America and director of the right-wing think tank, the Middle East Forum, paid a ‘substantial’ “six figure” sum to Wilders for his legal fees. It also details that the costs for all operations in Wilders party, apart from ‘office running costs’, are met by “foreign funding.”
On Wilders’ connection with Israel, the programme notes that Wilders lived in what is described as “one of the most extremist settlements in Israel” in his 20s. We are told, “His early exposure to the ‘Jewish state’, its people and its wordview were to have a profound effect on him and his politics.”
Wilders advocates that Israel should be an exclusively Jewish state and that the Palestinians should relocate to Jordan – a solution which is described by the presenter as a “radical concept, that doesn’t receive much mainstream support.”

Hey what are you guys upset about? Geert is right…Islam will overtake us if it gets the chance. Muslims should work to stop the killers amongst them, that is all the Geert is saying, we don’t want our country to turn into Saudi Arabia.
May 27th, 2011 at 3:07 pm
Where do all of these apologists come from?
“we must repeat it over and over again, especially to our children, our Western values and culture based on Christianity and Judaism is better and superior to the Islamic culture”
Does that sound like a reasonable and tolerant message to you? Geert Wilders is not concerned simply with “killers,” his problem is with Islam as a whole, and by extension – despite his claims to the contrary – Muslims in general.
The ignorance of people who turn a blind eye to what he is actually saying because they think he is addressing some larger problem is precisely the kind of attitude that bigots and hatemongers rely upon in order to survive in society.

The Big Lie About ‘Islamic Fascism’
by Eric Margolis
The latest big lie unveiled by Washington’s neoconservatives are the poisonous terms, “Islamo-Fascists” and “Islamic Fascists.” They are the new, hot buzzwords among America’s far right and Christian fundamentalists.
President George W. Bush made a point last week of using “Islamofacists” when recently speaking of Hezbullah and Hamas — both, by the way, democratically elected parties. A Canadian government minister from the Conservative Party compared Lebanon’s Hezbullah to Nazi Germany.
The term “Islamofascist” is utterly without meaning, but packed with emotional explosives. It is a propaganda creation worthy Dr. Goebbels, and the latest expression of the big lie technique being used by neocons in Washington’s propaganda war against its enemies in the Muslim World.
This ugly term was probably first coined in Israel — as was the other hugely successful propaganda term, “terrorism” — to dehumanize and demonize opponents and deny them any rational political motivation, hence removing any need to deal with their grievances and demands.
As the brilliant humanist Sir Peter Ustinov so succinctly put it, “Terrorism is the war of the poor, and war is the terrorism of the rich.”
Both the terms “terrorism” and “fascist” have been so abused and overused that they have lost any original meaning. The best modern definition I’ve read of fascism comes in former Columbia University Professor Robert Paxton’s superb 2004 book, The Anatomy of Fascism.
Paxton defines fascism’s essence, which he aptly terms its “emotional lava” as: 1. a sense of overwhelming crisis beyond reach of traditional solutions; 2. belief one’s group is the victim, justifying any action without legal or moral limits; 3. need for authority by a natural leader above the law, relying on the superiority of his instincts; 4. right of the chosen people to dominate others without legal or moral restraint; 5. fear of foreign “contamination.”
Fascism demands a succession of wars, foreign conquests, and national threats to keep the nation in a state of fear, anxiety and patriotic hypertension. Those who disagree are branded ideological traitors. All successful fascists regimes, Paxton points out, allied themselves to traditional conservative parties, and to the military-industrial complex.
Highly conservative and militaristic regimes are not necessarily fascist, says Paxton. True fascism requires relentless aggression abroad and a semi-religious adoration of the regime at home.
None of the many Muslim groups opposing US-British control of the Mideast fit Paxton’s definitive analysis. The only truly fascist group ever to emerge in the Mideast was Lebanon’s Maronite Christian Phalange Party in the 1930′s which, ironically, became an ally of Israel’s rightwing in the 1980′s.
It is grotesque watching the Bush Administration and Tony Blair maintain the ludicrous pretense they are re-fighting World War II. The only similarity between that era and today is the cultivation of fear, war fever and racist-religious hate by US neoconservatives and America’s religious far right, which is now boiling with hatred for anything Muslim.
Under the guise of fighting a “third world war” against “Islamic fascism,” America’s far right is infecting its own nation with the harbingers of WWII totalitarianism.
In the western world, hatred of Muslims has become a key ideological hallmark of rightwing parties. We see this overtly in the United States, France, Italy, Holland, Denmark, Poland, and, most lately, Canada, and more subtly expressed in Britain and Belgium. The huge uproar over blatantly anti-Muslim cartoons published in Denmark laid bare the seething Islamophobia spreading through western society.
There is nothing in any part of the Muslim World that resembles the corporate fascist states of western history. In fact, clan and tribal-based traditional Islamic society, with its fragmented power structures, local loyalties, and consensus decision-making, is about as far as possible from western industrial state fascism.
The Muslim World is replete with brutal dictatorships, feudal monarchies, and corrupt military-run states, but none of these regimes, however deplorable, fits the standard definition of fascism. Most, in fact, are America’s allies.
Nor do underground Islamic militant groups (“terrorists” in western terminology). They are either focused on liberating land from foreign occupation, overthrowing “un-Islamic” regimes, driving western influence from their region, or imposing theocracy based on early Islamic democracy.
Claims by fevered neoconservatives that Muslim radicals plan to somehow impose a worldwide Islamic caliphate are lurid fantasies worthy of Dr. Fu Manchu and yet another example of the big lie technique that worked so well over Iraq.
As Prof. Andrew Bosworth notes in an incisive essay on so-called Islamic fascism, “Islamic fundamentalism is a transnational movement inherently opposed to the pseudo-nationalism necessary for fascism.”
However, there are plenty of modern fascists. But to find them, you have to go to North America and Europe. These neo-fascists advocate “preemptive attacks against all potential enemies,” grabbing other nation’s resources, overthrowing uncooperative governments, military dominance of the world, hatred of Semites (Muslims in this case), adherence to biblical prophecies, hatred of all who fail to agree, intensified police controls, and curtailment of “liberal” political rights.
They revel in flag-waving, patriotic melodrama, demonstrations of military power, and use the mantle of patriotism to feather the nests of the military-industrial complex, colluding legislators and lobbyists. They urge war to the death, fought, of course, by other people’s children. They have turned important sectors of the media into propaganda organs and brought the Pentagon largely under their control.
Now, the neoconservatives are busy whipping up war against Syria and Iran to keep themselves in power and maintain the political dynamics of this 21st century revival of fascism.
The real modern fascists are not in the Muslim World, but Washington. The neocons screaming fascist the loudest, are the true fascists themselves. It’s a pity that communist and leftist propaganda so debased the term “neo-fascist” that it has become almost meaningless. Because that is what we should be calling the so-called neocons, for that is what they really are.

The reality is that “islamisering” is not happening at all in the Netherlands — and is a myth!
Second – the strain of Islamophobia now infecting much of the Western world got its start in the Netherlands long before 9-11 in the context of “debates” on crime and immigration. The current strain of Islamophobia infecting the Western world is the new Dutch disease.
We may be looking at the new Hitler here in Geert Wilders, and if he ever gets to be minister-president – we will be fighting another war in Western Europe and the next Anne Frank will be a Muslim!
May 28th, 2011 at 8:10 am
So-called “radical Islam” is really not the threat posed by Geert Wilders and his ilk …
Remember – the radical ilk associated with Wilders has a vastly higher body count in recent European histroy than so-call “Islamists.”
May 28th, 2011 at 10:33 am
I really hate the word “Islamists” and “Jihadists” as if Islam and Jihad are bad words. Everything we do in life is jihad (inner struggle). We really shouldn’t fall into propagandists’ trap of using these words. Let’s just say “terrorists” instead.
Just my 2 cents.

Please give us an update on Wilders’s trial. What is going on at the moment? When is judgement due?
Thank you.

Dutch agnost Geert Wilders lectures about islam and its dangers to american fundamentalist christians. What’s wrong with this sencence?
Some fact’s about Pastor Maury Davis of Cornerstone Church;
-”can’t imagine Christ saying one good thing about any other faith.”
-Pastor Maury Davis was arrested at age eighteen for the crime of first-degree murder.(At court he pleaded Satanic possession and dodged the chair; he served eight and one-half years)
-…The Bible, the book on which this nation was built, says it is wrong and sinful and condemned. Our founding fathers never considered constitutional rights to include socially destructive and morally deviant behavior. Rest assured, homosexuality was considered a perversion by our founding fathers and by most generations of Americans until recent media pollution clouded the issue.

@ Enemies
Lots of organizations, and individuals went to Court.
The months we will know the verdict of the judge to find him guilty of polarization and hatred.
His defender is of Jewish descent who’se father is utterly ashamed. The man is a danger and I think it has nothing at all to do with freedom of speech. He crossed the border of civilization too many times. And we hope that the judge will find him guilty.
Believe me many people in the Netherlands are utterly ashamed. The US must refuse to let him into the country, like a Swiss village is doing now.
Unfortunately since last year we have a right wing government with support by Wilders party. Believe me it is scary.
Regards,
Jan van den Heuvel

Excuse my English.
I meant to say in the coming months we will know about the verdict and whether the judge finds him guilty.
There is actually a verdict of the European Court aginst Belgian politician Feret. A rather interesting verdict of which many hope the Dutch court will follow.
May 28th, 2011 at 4:10 pm
@ 8 ball fluke
Many suspect in the Netherlands that he (his party) is paid by Zionist, the Horowitz foundation etc.
Take notice of the fact that quite a lot of his party members are convicted criminals, one of them beats people up, another one urinated through the mailbox of some elderly person, another one lied about his credentials, one is an ex-cop who sid ‘he enjoyed beating people up with his batonm, etc, etc.
So you can imagine this really is a ‘fresh group’ of people. Interesting to take notice of the fact that every year more than 40.000 people emigrate from the Netherlands. The government does not yet monitors why.
May 28th, 2011 at 6:13 pm
People – the crazy extremist ideology spread by Wilders, who is the most radicalized individual in Europe today, is easily found to be crazy myths. Wilders has been actively seeking to radicalize others to his foolish, but dangerous, extremism.
1. Most Dutch of “Muslim” immigrant background come from Morocco or Turkey. As we know, Turkey is a NATO ally and friend to the US. Morocco is mostly a democracy and is a non-NATO US ally in North Africa. If “Muslims hate democracy,” why then are the two main nations that most “Muslim” immigrants come from major US allies?
2. We know that people in Egypt, Libya, Syria, have been fighting – and dying – for their nations to live in freedom and in democracy without autocrats and fanatics. the majority of Egyptians reject violence against religious minorities and both Christians and Muslims fought to free Egypt from autocratic rule.
I could go on with other arguments against Wilders’ radical Islamophobia. But so much for the Geert Wilders’ crazy extremism that “Muslims cannot live in a democracy.” Remember that 100 years ago these same accusations were levied against Catholics both in Europe and America.
Nope – it’s Geert Wilders – the most dangerous extremist in the Western world – who cannot accept democracy and free society for all!

Geert Wilders’ trial has been dismissed.
Too bad!

Eslaporte what do you know about our country? You don’t know anything about Wilders or how many moslims live here and what our problems are.
May 29th, 2011 at 7:16 am
No it hasn’t. His first trial was dismissed because there were claims the judge influenced a witness so they asked for a retrial, which started earlier this year and continues.

Hey, please check out my blog, in which I document the current trend of slandering, humiliating and dehumanising Islamic communities in Europe, among other things. I would be very grateful. Cheers.
May 29th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
Where to start. There are sooo many things that could be said about Geert and his followers though some other posters have already covered much of it. I suppose I’ll begin with just two points since I’m in a hurry.
1. So Europe only includes ‘Jewish,’ ‘Christian,’ and ‘Secular/Humanist’ traditions in Geert’s world? What about the pagan heritage? You know, all those pre-Christian Greek and Roman philosophers, scholars and intellectuals like Plato (and the Neo-Platonists like Plotinus, Poryphry, Iamblichus, etc), Socrates (Socratic method anyone?), Aristotle (huge influence on the sciences), not to mention Pythagoras, Herodotus (father of history or lies depending on whom you ask), Marcus Aurelius (and the other stoics), Homer (composer of two of the greatest epics in history), Hippocrates (as in Hippocratic oath), Galen, and so on and so forth?
And that’s not even getting beyond the Mediterranean into the lands of the Celts, Germanic tribes, Balts, Slavs, Magyars, Dacians and other barbarians. While only bits and pieces of their myths survive, like the Eddas, Beowulf and the Book of Invasions, they still have resonance ranging from the Celtic Revival and Romantic Nationalism of the 19th century to neo-pagan movements like Wicca, Asatru, Romuva and so forth. The ‘Protestant work ethic’ in truth comes from the hardy Viking culture. Are the works of Yeats no longer part of the European tradition? Der Ring des Nibelungen? Symbols like the Piacenza liver, Stonehenge, the Parthenon in Athens, the Gundestrup cauldron, or the big ass statues of figures like Vercingetorix and Arminius? It seems to me that Geert is intentionally ignoring these giants of culture…
Also, when he speaks of these things, he seems rather intent on overlooking the fact that neither Christianity nor Judaism nor even Secular Humanism are unique to Europe, nor are the European manifestations necessarily the norm. Both Judaism and Christianity originated in the Middle East and have spread across the globe. There are unique sects ranging from the Kimbanguists (one of the largest Christian Churches in the Congo) to the Mormons (who originated in the 19th century frontier of America), from the Bnei Menashe (Mizos from NE India who were formerly Pentecostal Christians but converted to Judaism in the 50s) to Reformed Judaism (which partly owes its origin to the Sephardic community of 19th-century Charleston!). As for secularism, India has a long tradition of that going back a few thousand years or so.
Geert also neglects to mention that these traditions all faced severe bloodshed in Europe within the relatively recent past. For a good couple centuries Catholics and Protestants were killing each other. Still are on and off in some places (Northern Ireland for example). If we throw in the Orthodox Christians too then we can include the former Yugoslavia. Just google terms like ‘Reformation’ (or ‘Counter Reformation’) and you’ll find all kinds of religiously motivated genocides. The Jews didn’t have it much easier either, as with the Spanish Inquisition, Holocaust and countless sporadic pogroms across the Holy Roman Empire. Atheism in Europe actually arose out of the background of religious persecution, and the atheists and secularists (not the same thing) actually opposed the Church (whatever it was in your particular country; freedom of religion is another recent concept since you generally worshipped the way your king did, which is why Spain was Catholic, Sweden Lutheran, the United Provinces Reformed, and so forth).
Which brings me to point number two…
2. Gays. I’m not homophobic, anti-gay or any of that other stuff. My general attitude is live and let live. But… its no secret that Geert is pro-gay, as are most Europeans in fact, and that one of his idles was an open homosexual. The thing is, the rabid evangelicals that Geert is preaching to AREN’T. I strongly suspect this is the result of a very powerful PR campaign myself. Geert is almost certainly aware of the fact that these people hate gays almost as much as they hate Muslims. BUT… as long as they know him as an anti-Muslim politician and not a gay-loving socialist they will continue to flock to his banner.
Of course, it also works the other way. His support in the Netherlands (low as it may be) is contingent upon him appearing to be an open-minded secularist who champions gay rights and opposes us evil Muslims and our shariah law. The thing is, radical Christians (who aren’t exactly that common in the Netherlands) are just as anti-gay as radical Muslims. And I doubt him speaking to a church full of hicks is going to play very well back home. It would be hilarious if someone mixed up his quotes and showed the evangelicals his liberal tendencies, and his kooky religious extremism to the Dutch. In fact, THAT just might kill his career.
May 29th, 2011 at 2:32 pm
Zakariya Ali She nice post and a good read…
I believe that it was the deterioration of the religious pillar system in the Netherlands in the 1960s (?) that has spawned this crazy and dangerous radical. As a result, Dutch society is in utter chaos, also helped along by Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh. The Dutch are also taken in by flashy flamboyance of odd ball people, like Fortuyn.
The Netherlands is a nation of religious minorities and diversity. The religious pillars brought balance and helped the Dutch overcome religious conflicts of the past. It used to be that a catholic was born in a Catholic hospital, educated at a Catholic school, participated in catholic civil societies, read Catholic newspapers (Volkskrant) and was buried in a catholic cemetery.
Now – why is the religion of another group of people now such a problem in the Netherlands – especially when is can be easily proven that “islamisering” is a crazy myth?
The Netherlands is a nation of religious minorities and diversity, and known for tolerance. The truth is that Fortyun, van Gogh, and now Wilders – hate their own country of the Netherlands and its noble national identity that others in the world admired. What they awful people are doing is supporting the destruction of a great nation and everything that made it great.
Fortuyn, van Gogh and Wilders are all self-hating Dutchmen that hate their own country!

So.. everybody who doesn’t agree with him is evil.. Well luckily the Bastard is terrible in speaking the Queen’s English, and keeps referring to to the Netherlands as “Holland” (That are two provinces of the 12 members
) So sane people know he is an idiot. To bad 1 in 5 people is insane… and somehow they all move to Bible belts in any country.

@Zakira.. hehe about your gay point.
.
He wend this time on a quiet note… last time some people got angry here saying these people hated the gays.. so he cancelled his trip until they would change their points of view
Of course they wouldn’t and it was just for show, that is why he wend more quietly this time… so Dutch TV wouldn’t catch him. He doesn’t care on bit about gay people, he just wants to use them for his propaganda machine. In fact his party helped pass several anti gay bills already
, saying they should “act normal” and government workers that don’t want to marry gay people shouldn’t be stopped from doing so.
He is nothing more then a fighting brand for our Conservative Capitalist Party, so he is just milking this things for as longs as he can, after all ( as with all fighting brands) it might die suddenly so he needs as much cash as he can to retire at age 55
. He is a very good friend of our current Prime minister, and basically there is a lot of proof they thought this tactic out years ago. To basically have him say the extreme stuff so the older conservatives wouldn’t move away from the party, but also to get the populist vote.
.

Firstly, can the religious pillar system of the Netherlands be compared at all to the Ottoman millet system?
Secondly, isn’t it a bit melodramatic to liken Wilders to Hitler (as opposed to say, Milosevic)?
AFAIK he doesn’t have any maniacal expansionist ambitions comparable to the Nazis’ Generalplan Ost. The specific problem of 1930s Germany which created the Nazis’ genocidal expansionism (millions of peasant farmers barely surviving on pitifully small plots) doesn’t exist in any present-day Western European country.

I CHALLENGE LOONWATCH.COM TO PUBLISH MY COMMENTS ON THIS WEBSITE!!! I DON’T THINK YOU WILL BECAUSE YOU NOT ONLY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH, BUT YOU DON’T WANT YOUR FOLLOWERS TO HEAR THE TRUTH EITHER. AGAIN, I CHALLENGE YOU!!
From the Muslim perspective, the truth about Islam (as told by Wilders, Spencer, Geller, and many others) is considered the new “hate speech.” Even though it is the truth!
The truth is that Islam is a totalitarian ideology of hatred, racism, bigotry, terrorism, misogyny, pedophilia, anti-semitism, control, domination, and subjugation all rolled into one homophobic and intolerant supremicist civilization.
So, when Wilders, Spencer, Geller, and others state these historical facts (based on the Koran, Sira, and Hadith, plus 1400 years of actually Islamic history) they are telling the truth. The problem is that loonwatch.com and your followers cannot handle the truth, it just gets you all worked up enough to go cut the head off of some Infidel, right?
Loonwatch.com is nothing more than a pathetic propaganda platform that spews pure Taqiyya to those stupid enough to believe it, such as your loonwatch.com followers.
I support Wilders, Spencer, Geller, and all those who speak the truth about the perverted and twisted disease that is Islam.
AGAIN, I CHALLENGE YOU TO PUBLISH MY COMMENTS ON YOUR LOONWATCH.COM!! YOU WON’T BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARED AND AFRAID OF THE TRUTH…YOU AND YOUR FOLLOWERS CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH…THAT ISLAM IS A PERVERTED AND SICK IDEOLOGY OF HATRED.

“Firstly, can the religious pillar system of the Netherlands be compared at all to the Ottoman millet system?”
No, because there is a 400 year gap between them. Comparing the pillar system of Netherlands, starting towards the beginning of 1900s and somewhat still active, to the millet system of the Ottoman’s, going as far back as the 1500s, is absolutely ridiculous. A more fair comparison of the Ottoman millet system would be to compare it to the treatment of other religious minorities, say Jews, in other nations at the same time period.
In the 150-400 year period before the existance of the Pillar system of the Netherlands, Jews were running away from European and Christian persecution and massacres to live in the far more tolerant Ottoman millet system. If you want to make a fair comparison, compare it to that.

“Secondly, isn’t it a bit melodramatic to liken Wilders to Hitler (as opposed to say, Milosevic)?”
Wilders:
“we must repeat it over and over again, especially to our children, our Western values and culture based on Christianity and Judaism is better and superior to the Islamic culture”
“It was the land of our fathers, it is our land now, it is our values, our values are based on Christianity, Judaism and Humanism and not Islam, it is that simple”
“and I have a message for all those people who want to rob us from our freedoms, and my message is stay in your own country”
”the so called Prophet Muhammad was a terrorist worse than Bin Laden ever was”
”neutrality my friends, neutrality in the face of evil is evil itself (applause).”
Hitler:
“Let us pray in this hour that nothing can divide us, and that God will help us against the Devil! Almighty Lord, bless our fight! ”
“The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life. ”
“We are a people of different faiths, but we are one. Which faith conquers the other is not the question; rather, the question is whether Christianity stands or falls… ”
“I recognize the representatives of this race (Jews) as pestilent for the state and for the church and perhaps I am thereby doing Christianity a great service by pushing them out of schools and public functions. ”
“The National Socialist State professes its allegiance to positive Christianity. It will be its honest endeavour to protect both the great Christian Confessions in their rights, to secure them from interference with their doctrines (Lehren), and in their duties to constitute a harmony with the views and the exigencies of the State of to-day. ”
“No, never and at no time was greater internal damage done to Christianity than in these 14 years when a party, theoretically Christian, sat with those who denied God in one and the same Government”
“Today I will once more be a prophet: if the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the Bolshevizing of the earth, and thus the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe! ”
“Providence shows no mercy to weak nations, but recognizes the right of existence-only of sound and strong nations…
This Jewish bolshevist annihilation of nations and its western European and American procurers can be met only in one way: by using every ounce of strength with the extreme fanaticism and stubborn steadfastness that merciful God gives to men in hard times for the defense of their own lives…”
Comparing Hitler to Wilders? Yeah, sounds about right to me…
May 30th, 2011 at 10:32 am
That’s some shocking hate-filled rhetoric from Wilders, but my objection to comparing Wilders to Hitler is that Wilders AFAIK has not expressed any specific expansionistic ambitions on a scale comparable to Hitler’s. Without said expansionist ambitions, Wilders is more comparable to Milosevic — someone who would commit genocide against Muslims within his own borders, but not seek to conquer huge areas of territory, or even the entire planet.
May 30th, 2011 at 7:17 pm
Number of victims of Hitler’s Nazism: 17 million people including Jews, Gypsies, Poles, Soviets and those not belonging to his idea of an Aryan Race.
Number of victims of Wilders’ Stupidty: 17 million peroxide bottles and an untold number of pencils up his nose.
So, no. Not really comparable.

Godwin’s law
Geert may be loon and concomitantly an unapologetic advocate of anti-Muslim discrimination, but he hasn’t openly said anything about rounding up Muslims and putting them in gas chambers (though some of his most ardent supporters have said things like that). The Nazi analogy is bit hyperbolic.

Neiter did Hitler in the beginning. It’s not about what Geert or any loon says now that’s a threat, it’s what they could eventually cause or become themselves if given the chance.

LOL. I made the unfortunate mistake of going to JihadWatch and I found our good friend Kinana of the loons giving his expert analysis regarding the murder of a Crimean Muslim girl:
“I’m not sure participating in a beauty contest is against sharia, but certainly violating Islamic dress codes is. (Restrictions on Muslim women’s dress are ordered in the Quran and described in the Hadith, so there is no question that Muslims can take these as legally binding and articles of faith). Since flagrantly violating Islamic rules itself can be taken as evidence of apostasy, and the penalty for apostasy is death, and there is no penalty in Islam for killing an apostate, the thugs who killed this young woman may have an Islamic legal basis to stand on.”
Yes, Kinana, and 2 + 2 = 5.

Israel is a great place to be a Christian… so long as you aren’t a Palestinian Christian.

I agree with every word Wilders said.
Those who disagree, do so because they find them message offensive to the Muslims. Yes, it is offensive to the Muslims, truth is often offensive. Those who would like to censure the offensive, but true statements, are fascists.
Of course nobody censure messages that don’t offend anyone.

Come on, why act so shocked. It’s America, this country was founded on hatred. You don’t think they wiped out all of the natives here because they loved them, do you? they didn’t ensalve, whipped, lynched and even burn all those black bodies because they loved them, do you? Reality sucks, doesn’t it? Can the Devil cast out it’s own?

Falsehood offends, truth sets you free. We find him offensive because he is lying and a propaganda machine for the Zionists and the racists. If you agree with him that’s your poor judgement just don’t try and justify your bigotry on the claim that ‘Truth is often offensive’, it isn’t.

I hope that the detractors of Geert Wilders will take a positive step and invite all those poor Muslim Palestinians suffering under Israel’s white supremacist yoke to the United States and give them succor, instead of spending three billions annually on Israel’s “security” needs
incidentally Israel has 75 billion dollars in excess funds so it really is not in need of American taxpayers hard-earned dollars. Those foreign aid funds would be so much better spent on taking in those very capable democratically inclined peaceful Muslim arabs and giving them a loving home in the USA. Then they will not be refugees anymore, but proud and thankful american citizens.
As for those white supremacist jews, its time to tell them they are not welcome in America, they should go to what they call their homeland of Israel.
In fact Europe just did that. It got rid of 10 million Jews, and embraced 25 million Muslims and now Europe is the envy of the world. Geert may disagree but he is a white supremacist so his opinion does not matter

So…. this is where the Islamic,pro-headloppers come to deny radical Islam doesn’t exist, and wants to see Shariah Law globalized.
I feel sorry for you sheeple.

As a native Tennessean, I would like to apologize to the Muslim community (especially those living in state) for this most recent event.
As a Christian, I can’t imagine what it must be like for Muslims living in Tennessee over the last few years. I pray that they can one day find forgiveness in their hearts for the transgressions committed against them by their own neighbors.
I would also like to reiterate my firm belief that the vast majority of Tennesseans do not buy into the type of bigotry and hate spewed by Wilders, Zelenick, Miller, and their ilk.

GREAT AND COURAGEOUS SPEECH. ABSOLUTELY TRUE. SIR GEERT I ADMIRE YOUR COURAGE. YOU SAY IT JUST THE WAY IT IS. FOR ALL THE CRITICS I JUST WANT TO ASK WHICH PART OF HIS SPEECH IS NOT TRUE. EVIL EXISTS BECAUSE GOOD PEOPLE DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. SIR GEERT WHATEVER YOU THINK, OR EVEN DREAM YOU CAN, BEGIN IT. BEGIN IT NOW. BOLDNESS HAS GENIUS POWER AND MAGIC IN IT. LOTS OF LOVE FROM ONE OF YOUR ADMIRERS
