Of course good relations between Christians and Muslims exist, that’s the point of this, whereas there are those like John C. Drew who can’t countenance that fact even when the likes of an Egyptian Coptic group says as much!

Exactly Sir D! There is discrimination there just like there’s discrimination everywhere else but it’s always exaggerated tenfold by some evangelicals. I know of people who actually lived there and have laughed at their accusations. Some of them are missionaries trying to convert Muslims by crying “persecution of Christians” instead of being more positive about their own religion. It has and will backfire!

Even if John C Drew did live in Egypt at one point, it doesn’t prove that his view is correct. Its possible to be a minority and be bigoted against the majority. Here’s one such example, there are blacks living in the United States who are anti white racists.

I know what you’re trying to do. But it doesn’t work that way. This story is in no way meant to prove that there is no bigotry against Christians in Egypt, but this does prove that it is far less of an epidemic than people make it out to be. We’re not saying that no Egyptian Muslims are intolerant. Off course some are intolerant. However, the society is far more tolerant than people like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller make it out to be, in addition to people like John C Drew.

Did you read that story I linked to in my previous comment about the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood endorsing a Coptic Christian candidate regardless of the fact that they knew he wasn’t a Muslim? Christians in Egypt certainly have it far better than Jews just prior to Kristalnacht as Garibaldi put it. If they’re openly running their own political organizations, they hardly fear for their lives if they proclaim their faith openly, not to mention if the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood has recently supported one of them, it doesn’t sound like its intent on forcing them all to convert, submit to Muslim rule or die.
