Pam & Bob: Welcome to the Bay, Where We Don’t Tolerate Hate

Posted on 17 August 2012 by Garibaldi

I have to say I love the Bay Area, the weather, the nature, the people–just beautiful. I knew that Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer’s SIOA hate ad campaign wasn’t going to last long before being touched up by the creative hands of guerilla artists, and it hasn’t.:

    @Chameleon, you wrote,

    I was merely pointing out that Bob & Pam’s strategy of taking their hate to the general public via in-your-face advertisements will be their ultimate undoing if they continue down this path, as evidenced by the reactions it is getting so far, including the “hate-speech” stickers slapped on their ads.

    Agreed. I too believe that this will be their ultimate undoing. I think they are doing it more for the consumption of their followers and their Billionaire backers.

    Dear Pam and Bob: Put a spin on THAT!

    i bet Pammy is frothing at the mouth with rage and probably will type her most incoherant rant ever, which should be pretty funny.

    @Garibaldi,

    I think you missed my point a bit. I actually wasn’t commenting at all on the appropriateness of slapping a little sticker on some of the ads. To me, that is a minor issue to debate. I can see both sides of the argument on that point, so I prefer to withhold any advocacy or objection on what others choose to do there. I was merely pointing out that Bob & Pam’s strategy of taking their hate to the general public via in-your-face advertisements will be their ultimate undoing if they continue down this path, as evidenced by the reactions it is getting so far, including the “hate-speech” stickers slapped on their ads. In this sense, like you, I do find those stickers a very welcome and comforting site, which is not the same as advocating their use.

    @Chameleon, I agree the more “free speech” the better. We are in no way advocating the censoring of these ads or banning them. As I said elsewhere, I appreciate street art and expression–just like this, I’m surprised so many don’t. This is 1 out of their 20 ads anyway.

    The more “free speech” the better as far as I am concerned. Ironically, I have no objections to the hate machine coming out of the woodwork like this in doing these ads. It will be their ultimate undoing when the general public is forced to confront and respond to this in-your-face hatred, as they are clearly doing already. Bob and Pam are like vampires on a hot summer beach in pursuing this strategy. The searing light of the general public eye is now beating down upon them. They just don’t realize it yet because the only general public that they want to be familiar with are their fawning zombies, who do nothing but reassure them how unimpeachable their hatred is.

    God damn anarchists! We need to wipe them off the streets…little rats!
