Yitzhak Pundak: 100 Year Old Israeli General “Proud” of his Role in Nakba, Razing Villages

IDF Spokesman

Yitzhak Pundak

From the “most moral army in the world”: Mr. Pundak believes it wasn’t “unnecessarily cruel” to raze Palestinian villages but he drew the line with Ariel Sharon on “killing enemy fighters” in exchange for “a glass of champagne.” (h/t: Awda)

War crimes anyone?

100-Year-Old General: We Razed Arab Villages, So What?

Brig. Gen. (res.) Yitzhak Pundak is celebrating his hundredth birthday. Pundak was the commander of the 53rd Battalion of the Givati Brigade in the War of Independence and went on to supervise the establishment of the Armored Corps. He was also Ambassador in Tanzania and a founder of Arad.

In an interview on IDF Radio, Pundak confirmed that forces under his command razed Arab villages in 1948. “My conscience is at ease with that, because if we hadn’t done so, then there would be no state by now. There would be a million more Arabs,” he said.

Asked why he still finds it so important to lecture to soldiers, at his advanced age, he explained: “Just like in 1948, the country is in a state of danger – and if the Jews do not fight as we did in the War of Independence, the state is in danger.” He predicted that if a war breaks out again, Jews will be capable of the same kind of self-sacrifice as in 1948.

“When there is a war, people unite,” he explained. “Afterward, they form parties and become divided.”

He spoke with pain of the 145 soldiers who were killed under his command over the years, and said that if they woke up miraculously and saw the divided country of today, “they would run back to their graves.”

And yet, when asked if he feels proud of his country, he said that his pride runs “as high as the rooftop.”

Pundak, who was the governor of Gaza in the early 1970s, said that the credit that is usually given to Ariel Sharon for stopping Arab terror in Gaza in 1971 is mistaken. He said that Sharon was an unnecessarily cruel commander who once said at a meeting with officers that he would offer champagne to whoever killed an enemy fighter – and whoever brings him a wounded enemy “will drink soda.”

He said: “I told him, ‘You are not my commander, I am not coming to your meetings.’”

Pamela Geller Connects the NSA-Sekrit Muslim Dots: “Do They Attend the 911 Mosque?”

And now we have the definitive jump-the-shark moment for CNET’s
absurdly misleading NSA story, as raving demagogue Pamela Geller puts on
her hate goggles and makes the connections between NSA spying and the

The silence of the despicable left is the final nail in their coffin
if America is paying attention. The enemedia is covering up and ignoring
the two biggest stories of the decade – Benghazi and spying.

There are serious “constitutional problems” with this approach, said
Kurt Opsahl, a senior staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier
Foundation who has litigated warrantless wiretapping cases. “It
epitomizes the problem of secret laws.” Serious constitutional problems?
That’s the understatement of the century.

    A phone call
could be accessed “simply based on an analyst deciding that.” Who are
the agents? Who is vetting them? Are they tied to Hamas-CAIR? ISNA?
ICNA? Do they attend the 911 mosque?

Obama has scrubbed all counter terror materials of jihad Obama has
said the al qaeda is defeated. Obama called Fort Hood Jihad “workplace
violence”. Whose calls are they listening to?

Everyday another bombshell. And the philo-jihadist in the White House still enjoys a 50% aprroval rating. America is in crisis.

Most of the generals were secular Zionists who weren’t particularly religious.

Gohmert: CAIR & ISNA are ‘Front Organizations for the Muslim Brotherhood,’
‘Want Sharia Law – See more at:

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is still reeling from Attorney General Eric Holder’s attempt to cast aspersions on his asparagus, and took to the House Floor today to accuse the Justice Department and intelligence agencies of working with Muslim Brotherhood front groups.

    Gohmert, who earlier claimed
that Americans may need to use their guns to prevent the establishment
of Sharia law, claimed that the Council on American Islamic Relations
and the Islamic Society of North America are both “front organizations
for the Muslim Brotherhood” and “want Sharia law to be the law of the
    land, not our Constitution.”

While Gohmert argued that the Fifth Circuit Court “confirmed” CAIR and ISNA’s Muslim Brotherhood allegiance, the court actually removed their designation as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial and cleared them of such a status.

The congressman even alleged the military is ignoring and refusing to
“recognize” the problem of green-on-blue attacks in Afghanistan. “We
need to address the political correctness that is blinding our agencies
and blinding our military of its ability to see who the enemy is because
it’s getting people killed,” Gohmert said. –

Price Tag’ Graffiti Defaces Christian Cemetery In Tel Aviv; Associated With Jewish Extremists

JERUSALEM — Israeli police say vandals have defaced graves at a Christian cemetery in Tel Aviv.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says the words “price tag” were
found on Thursday, sprayed on a number of graves in Jaffa, a mixed
    Arab-Jewish part of the city.

That phrase is usually used by a fringe minority of Jewish
extremists to protest what they perceive as the Israeli government’s
pro-Palestinian policies and retaliation for Palestinian attacks.

Rosenfeld says police are searching for the perpetrators.

Vandals have targeted mosques, churches, dovish Israeli groups and
even Israeli military bases with “price tag” graffiti in recent years.

Thursday’s incident follows one on a Jerusalem church two weeks ago.

Why are we surprised at this? The Old Testament is full of descriptions of war and how Jewish armies committed genocides of non-Jewish tribes. In one passage I read, Jewish armies devastated villages, killed men, raped women and girls, and even murdered domestic animals. If today’s Jewish army is to learn warfare from the OT, then hey… that is where they got it from. Unfortunately.
