Bat Yam Rally: “Death to Jewish Women who date Arabs”

Jewish religious students and elders took part in a demonstration in which protestors called out for “Jewish women who date Arabs to be killed.” What if they were Muslim?

Some 200 people held a demonstration in central Bat Yam Monday evening against relationships between local Jewish women and Arab men.

One of the protestors called out, “Any Jewish woman who goes with an Arab should be killed; any Jew who sells his home to an Arab should be killed.”

During the rally, held under the banner, “We Want a Jewish Bat-Yam”, demonstrators also insulted the prophet Muhammad and made racist remarks against Arabs and their saints.

Police forces maintained order, but did not act when the demonstrators made racist remarks.

“We are not racist, we are just Jews. The Arabs are coming and taking our daughters. We will not allow it,” one of the speakers said.

Moshe Ben-Zikri of Eilat said the “struggle” began three years ago in Givat Ze’ev. “There were 330 Arab families there, and the Jewish women would walk around with them freely. We vowed this would not happen again.

“Just like we triumphed there, we will triumph in Bat Yam as well. We are not afraid of the police, the media or the Arabs – we only fear God,” he said.

Mayor: Climb on a different tree

Bat Yam Mayor Shlomo Lahyani strongly condemned the event and those who took part in it.

“The city of Bat Yam denounces any racist phenomenon. This is a democratic country with laws,” Lahyani told Ynet angrily. He denied claims made by extreme right-wing activists Itamar Ben-Gvir and Baruch Marzel that this was a local initiative.

“I would like these honorable gentlemen to find a different tree to climb on, far from Bat Yam. I am certain and I know that most of the protestors are not Bat Yam residents. This is a foolish attempt to create a provocation, which has failed.”

Ben-Gvir and Marzel responded to the mayor’s accusations, saying that “Mr. Lahyani has failed in his attempt to ignore the harsh reality in Bat Yam, which has been taken over by hostile elements and is suffering from assimilation. The crowd which took part in the protest was furious at the failure to deal with this phenomenon. We suggest that Lahyani stop ignoring the danger.”

One of the event’s organizers, Bentzi Gupstein told Ynet Sunday night, “So many Arabs are dating Jewish women, and the public is fed up with it.

A short distance away, about 200 leftists and Arab residents of Bat Yam held a counter protest. They waved signs reading, “We’re fed up with racists” and “Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies”.

This is utter racism, pure and simple. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior and attitude.

    @JihadBob
Typical, trying to take the conversation away from the issue – how there are Jews in Israel who not only hate Arabs, but hate their own people who like Arabs.

Catching up on loonacy after a festive break. Apologies if this has already been linked. A more comprehensive dismantling of the report you couldn’t find.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/the-lay-scientist/2010/dec/22/1

Let’s take the two big assertions, summarized neatly in the Mail’s 2010 article: “1 in 3 British Muslim students back killing for Islam and 40% want Sharia law.” What questions were actually asked?

“How supportive, if at all, would you be of the official introduction of Shari’ah Law into British law for Muslims in Britain?”
    Very supportive – 21%
    Fairly supportive – 19%”

The headline conveniently drops the clause “for Muslims”, and in 2008 the clause was buried from the article completely.

But the biggest and clearest misrepresentation is the claim that “one third of British Muslims students say it’s acceptable to kill for Islam.” This is such a blatant distortion that it’s hard to explain how journalists could twist the results of the poll in such a perverse way by accident. The actual question asked was:

“Is it ever justifiable to kill in the name of religion?”
Yes, in order to preserve and promote that religion – 4%
Yes, but only if that religion is under attack – 28%

32% said that it was acceptable to kill in the name of a religion – not Islam, any religion. Of those, 87.5% said “only in self-defense”, while the tiny remainder said yes to an answer that includes the confusing conflation “preserve and promote”. I’m curious to know what percentage of Christians would give similar answers, and what proportion of human beings in general if we substitute “religion” for “philosophy” or “way of life”.

Curiously, more positive results were ignored both then and now. 89% of those surveyed said women should be treated equally, with only 5% disagreeing, only 25% had an issue with homosexuality, nearly 80% said it was possibly to be equally Muslim and British, 92% had a range of friends across cultural boundaries, and nearly 80% had respect for Jews (with only 7% expressing disrespect), while a similar number respected Atheists. More than 70% said they were more liberal than their parents.

So, a report carried out by a right wing think tank and selectively reported by a right wing tabloid, with the sole purpose of smearing muslims and fuelling islamophobia, turns out to show young British muslims to be, well, ‘normal’! I think the term required in these instances is, EPIC FAIL!

    Good find Mosizzle.

    The actual study:

    Some interesting stuff in there.

    Look at the love:

“20 Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.[a] For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.””

“Christians don’t believe in the same God as Muslims do for obvious reasons and one where I have posted on before:”

It’s the same God that massacred the people at Sodom and Gomorrah, flooded the world for Noah, killed newborns etc etc. Sorry Bob. Same God. And by Christian logic, if Jesus is in fact the Almighty God, then he killed ALOT of people and didn’t show very much love and mercy.

“Then the lord (JESUS) saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” ” (Genesis 6:5-7)

Perhaps Christianity doesn’t believe in this God, and believes in some other god. Such a big problem for Christians like bob who put up a facade of ‘love’ and peace when Christian actions throughout history seem to emulate God in the OT.

Nice work Mosizzle..Did u just nailed Jihadbob? No surprises..

  • Mosizzle

Ah yes. The survey JihadBob brought up.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/the-lay-scientist/2010/dec/22/1

“The Daily Mail’s latest Wikileaks ‘revelation’ about British Muslims is actually a story they published in 2008, and it’s as dodgy now as it was then.”

    Loon fail.

  • Mosizzle

    Utter lies, Jihadbob.

Daniel Pipes is an Islamophobe but even he knows that technically Muslims and Jews and Christians have the same God

But forget Pipes, check this out:

    Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

    http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p123a9p3.htm#III
    Paragraph 841

If Spencer worships the same God as Muslims, and Muslims believe in a different God to other Christians, does that mean Spencer believes in a different God?

In a christian majority world,no wonder the crime rates are so high..Because god loves ..hmm lets c…….”Jesus taught God’s unconditional love for sinners”
So your god loves the unbelievers
    impious and sinners
    evildoers
    the proud
    transgressors
    prodigal
    treacherous

I am sure Stalin,Hitler,Hirohito etc etc ..must be njoying their time in heaven..Ain’t that ryt JoBob?

  • Christian cognitive dissonance. It’s amusing when people like bob and pork proclaim that we don’t believe in the same God since theirs is ‘peaceful’. Then you take a look at the OT and see the widespread cruelty and violence by God (Jesus) which is unmatched even in the Quran. What’s a ‘peaceful’ Christian like pork suppose to think?

Christians don’t believe in the same God as Muslims do for obvious reasons and one where I have posted on before:

“But what were the factual errors of mine?”

For starters, claiming the survey had never been publicly released.
