AlterNet: Exposing Anti-Islam Author Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s Latest Deception

Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Ayaan Hirsi Ali/Magan

An excellent article by Max Blumenthal on Ayaan Hirsi Ali that has gotten a lot of shares on social media. It notes what we and many others have for quite some time, her fraudulent autobiography and deceptive Islamophobic tactics.

By Max Blumenthal, AlterNet

While promoting her new book, Heretic, on a March 23 episode of “The Daily Show,” Somali-born author and anti-Islam activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali made a staggering claim: “If you look at 70 percent of the violence in the world today, Muslims are responsible,” she told host Jon Stewart.

Stewart did not demand any evidence and Hirsi Ali provided no citation. However, she made a strikingly similar statement in a March 20 essay previewing her new book for the Wall Street Journal: “According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies,” Hirsi Ali wrote in WSJ’s Saturday Essay, “at least 70% of all the fatalities in armed conflicts around the world last year were in wars involving Muslims.”

I contacted the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), a leading British foreign policy think tank, to inquire about the source of Hirsi Ali’s statistic. According to IISS Media Relations and Communications Officer Kat Slowe, IISS did not explicitly state such a figure in its research.

“I have spoken to a number of our experts and they cannot identify where this statistic may have come from,” Slowe told me.

“Their best guess is that the journalist in question [Hirsi Ali] may have access/a subscription to the [IISS] Armed Conflict Database and may have calculated this statistic independently. There are some concerns that it could be misleading as, without Syria (near 200,000 total deaths, and almost half of last year’s global conflict deaths) the figure would look massively different (and of course, this conflict did not have its root in religion),” Slowe added.

Faith in things people cannot possibly know and are almost certainly not real is why we are in thins mess. It needs to go away. If you cannot provide evidence for the bold claims made in the name of faith, stop making bold claims and getting offended when you are called on it. Hirsi “thinks” Islam is outdated because it is.

Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.

What does that have to do with anything I said? Is stating irrelevant opinions now the equivalent of responding to arguments?

  • Awesome

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a lying, attention-seeking, gold-digging, self-serving, opportunistic political careerist who is trying to benefit from the lucrative opportunities that the bogeyman industry offers to people like her in its current focus on fear-mongering about Islam and Muslims for the sake of money and politics.

Since the anti-Islam propaganda campaign is sustained entirely through
lies, half-truths and sensationalism, the fact that it attracts such
unsavory characters as this should come as no surprise to anyone.

The onion shaped dome is classical Persian in style.

I don’t think India has much to offer other than cheap labor, Bollywood which oddly enough is their biggest export. If the ME countries banned Bollywood movies, India would go bankrupt in three months.

That was GREAT! And so true! I mean, France has been a democracy for so long and look at how they treated the Algerians, Moroccans, Senegalese, Vietnamese, Malagasy etc. etc. etc, they ruled them with an iron fist.

  • Friend of Bosnia

So it is. And truly, many other monuments in India are actually Islamic, even many palaces of the Maharajahs are built in the Persian style, for example in Jodhpur.
I’d love to see them; but like I said, my wife and daughter will not accompany me.

Indian cuisine is good because its a combination of Turkish, Persian Arabic and a few authentic Indian cooking especially the vegetable dishes. And of course the architecture that is of any interest and beauty is the Taj Mahal which was built by the Mughal Dynasty regardless of much the Hindu nationalists like to claim they built it. Of course its really not entirely their fault at being ignorant and slightly demented Hollywood helps them out by claim it was built by an Indian Maharaja even though his title was Shah and his name was Shahabuddin Muhammad Shah Jahan. It’s that “Muhammad” part that is so troubling.

  • Friend of Bosnia

    Great analysis. Congratulations.
Come to think of it, it’s always about robbery. The war in BiH was about politics and robbery and so was the Thirty Years’ War, essentially. Such is human nature. Evil outweighs the good in this world. The only people who deserve Paradise are the victims of genocide.

Oh c’mon, I’m a Muslim and it’s my wife who administrates the money I earn, who decides what things and what food to buy, if she wants to wear a headscarf (not right now), and where we spend our summer vacations. And for most of my friends it’s just the same. Sure, there are Muslims around who abuse their wives, but no more than among other peoples.
To make such unproved generalizations only shows lack of intelligence, of common sense, of morals, of education, of humanity, of intelligence, just plain malevolence or all of the above.
If I have read her right, and other, ah, people like her, for example, Oriana Fallacy, er, Fallaci (a friend of Kaddafi’s btw), or Risto Dzogo or Dobrica Cosic, they are all just like that, full of prejudice, bigotry and malevolence. People who have such a combination of stupidity and malevolence are the very worst in the world. Much better for the world if they never had been born.
What this website does is to expose them. Of course they don’t like being exposed, that’s why we get their offensive comment here.

  • Friend of Bosnia

Well, it is a fascinating country with some of the most beautiful monuments one could think of and a cuisine which is unparalleled, and many beautiful sights.
But in view of what some people do to “outcaste” women, I sure ain’t gonna take my wife and my teenage daughter there to visit, not even if it was offered as a gift to me with all expenses paid, unless we had a troop of 20 bodyguards, all combat-experienced veterans of the Bosnian war, armed with Kalashnikovs with bayonets and/or 12 gauge shotguns to accompany us everywhere and with instructions to shoot first and ask questions later. Or at least if thgose who invite us provide us with such an escort. And the three of us armed with at least a .44 Magnum or a .45 automatic with hollow-point or explosive bullets, and a hand grenade, and instructed in their use.
But just fancy what a notion, going for tourism as if one was going to a war zone. Okay, if I come with one or several male friends maybe it is all right; so far as I know …
Wa Allah, I felt perfectly safe in Algeria when I last visited.

Interestingly enough Hindus also engage in gender based abortions. Apparently close to a million female fetuses are aborted every year in India just because they are female.

In fact the recent rise in rapes in India according some people is due to the lack of females.

British blogger Sunny Hundal in his recent ebook, India Dishonoured: Behind a Nation’s War on Women claims “India is not just a country in which women are afforded inferior status, he argues: it is one engaged in outright ‘gendercide’ (or more precisely ‘femicide’) on its female population through sex-selective abortion, infanticide and dowry deaths.”

From the article I get the impression she doesn’t really know what she wants to think, apart from that being against a percieved Islam she doesn’t like. I think she’s too inconcequential to be “deceptive”, that would require a more alluring constant course of agitation, she rows back and forth, defending the murderous hater Breivik (that like all haters inconsequently killed those defenseless, loosely attatched to their feared object in proximity), that surely would demonize her nonetheless.
Europeans knew how to utilize humans as things for hundreds of years, Christianity was a willing vehicle, in most aspects the most human form of European supremachism. Just two hundred years ago Europe sprouted concepts of equality of humans, the result is the relatively weak UN, often a mere instrument of doubious diplomacy. The period of fascism shows how difficult it was for Europe to implement its own ideas against blind authorianism.
Luther, a flaming antijudaist, equally flaming for a purified faith in Christ brought forth a violent revolution in Europe that accelerated its historical process of ideas, furthered the emancipation of the individual believer (priesthood of all believers). Islam doesn’t need some Luther the religious informed Muslim becomes more common as a process of modernity in the Islamic world. The violent uprisings in the Islamic world are evidence for that struggle. The Syrian civil war is no religious conflict in its essence, it is political (three main players: a petrified “Socialist” Baath dictatorship, a diffuse opposition without any clear course except being against Assad’s iron, crushing rule and finally the we-against-the rest of the world ISIS, having now already alone at least four Islamic entities against them: Jordan, remaining Syria and Iraq, the Kurds). For the afflicted Muslims their concepts for this world go only with God, so the universally utterd takbir is no indication of Islamism or otherwise terror (as Islamophobes think).

Speaking of men dressed up as women there is a story about cross dressers gone wild over at Fort Meade:

    http://www.wbaltv.com/news/police-investigating-reports-of-shooting-crash-at-fort-meade/32085082

Rumor has it that it all started when the two were at a local restaurant and left the seat up in the women’s latrine. The mocking laughter made them mentally ill, so they decided to kill spies.
