Bulgaria: Orthodox Church Says ‘Don’t Let Muslims In’

This exemplifies the issue with leaders in an institutionalized religion that is wedded to a certain narrative of xenophobic nationalism. It is not limited to the Orthodox Church but can be seen coming from the voices of far too many religio-political figures. Clearly, these people are out of touch with the original and deep teachings of their faiths.

MiddleEastEye

Bulgaria’s Orthodox Church has called on its government not to let any more Muslim refugees into the country to prevent an “invasion”.

The Balkan EU member has largely been bypassed by the hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing conflict and poverty, many of whom set off from Greece through neighbouring Macedonia and Serbia towards northern Europe.

But Bulgaria has still seen Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis cross its southeastern border from Turkey.

“We help refugees who have already arrived in our motherland, but the government must absolutely not let more refugees in,” the church, which claims 80 percent of the population as its followers, said late Friday on its website.

“This is a wave that looks like an invasion.”

It added that the problems in the refugees’ countries of origin “must be resolved by those who created them and the Bulgarian people must not pay the price by disappearing”.

That is how one starts a civil war, just like when the US decided to fund and train Cubans to overthrow Fidel Castro and in Guatemala engineered the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Jacobo Arbenz. A decades long civil war ensued in which some 200,000 people were killed, mostly by the US backed military.

I wouldn’t want to claim that I’m better than others. I don’t see myself as an arrogant person. But at least I think I have my heart on the right spot. I’m not an inhuman, racist, Fascist, bigot, genocidal Nazi twerp. But I’m ten thousand times better and worthy than such individuals. To me, they represent everything that is hateful and despicable about mankind, and they should be given the same degree of cruelty they so callously inflict on others. And I do not mean just those who actually have blood of Innocents on their hands. I mean also and before all the instigators, propagandists and ideologists as well, and the idiots who follow them. Milosevic’s cronies who still run the Show in Serbia; Putin; Geert Wilders; the Le Pens; Viktor Orban and all the other rightist populists in Europe; the cetniks; Pegida AfD and all such similar Groups; Skinheads, KKK and all such dspicable scum – everything I HATE and DESPISE about mankind is embodied in These. They deserve no mercy and no quarter, they deserve to be erased from the face of the Earth, they deserve a most hideous nd painful death, they have earned themselves a place in Hell. And should any one of those Fascist evil bigoted genocidal BLOCKHEADS even try to inflict any bodily harm on me, even if it’s just a scratch, then I will KILL him with MY OWN HANDS!!! Should any swine-faced, swine-mannered (cross-kissing or not -actually the atheists are worse) sons of SWINE try to run me out of my house, my hometown, my Country, then I promise that I will take down to the nether-world EIGHT kuffar side-boys with me!!! Didja hear me, you Fascist swine and morons out there? Didja hear me?!?!!!

This will not work. They will never agree on who gets what territories. Besides that, in BiH it would leave the Bosniaks – 50% of the population – on just 25% of the land. Many would have to give up their hometowns forever. Not only that, teh 25% would be two landlocked, separated enclaves, surrounded by hostile peoples on all sides, unable to communicate with each other, cut off from the outside world, economically unviable. A second West Bank and Gaza Strip. It would lead to the Bosmiaks’ radicalization, and then their enemies would have an pretext to eliminate them. Help from the outside is not to be expected. On the contrary. Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary refuse to do their part in the current Middle Eastern refugee crisis. Germany could cut off financial aid to them. Then the would turn to Putin. Next, Dodik pulls through his Referendum, effectively ripping Bosnia-Herzegovina apart. The Croats will reclaim their part of Bosdnia. Leaving teh Bosiaks in the predicament I described above. Of Course then teh Bosniaks will Resort to Military means, to avoid that grim fate. What happens next? Oh, the Bosniaks will initially score some success. And then Serbia intervenes. As that will not be sufficient, they will cry for help to Putin, and like in Syria, Putin will dispatch air force and ground Units with the connival of Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. I think the Hungarns, ROmanians and Bulgarians will even allow Russian ships to unload supplies and troops for Serbia and to let Russian military convoys use theior roads, and Russian Military Trains on their railroads. To top that off Russia will fire cruise Missiles at the Bosniaks from warships in the Black Sea, or the Mediterranean, or the Adriatic. To crush the Bosniaks as they are doing with the anti-Assad Opposition in Syria today. And then they can smear the Bosniaks as “IS” And annihilate them with full impunity. – As they themselves put it: “Kill one third, expel one third, Assimilate (convert to Christianity) one third”. Finis Bosniae? 1492 all over again? If those who can do something about it stand aside and let it happen, or make another foul compromise with Putin, then I can tell you that such a world is not worth living in, and that then Mankind does not deserve to continue existing.

French School Identifies Non-pork Eaters With Yellow Tags

French_Lunch_Students_Pork_Muslims_Jews

An elementary school in France thought color-coded tags to be worn by students who don’t eat pork and meat was a good idea, until parents complained. This is occurring in the backdrop of rising Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.

Elementary school in small French city swiftly withdraws initiative that used colored tags to identity students who do not eat pork and meat.

A French municipality launched a probe into an elementary school’s use of red and yellow tags to identify pupils who do not eat pork and meat, respectively.

The city of Auxerre, located 105 miles southeast of Paris, opened the investigation on Friday after parents complained to local media about the school’s initiative, in which neck strings bearing red and yellow plastic discs were placed on pupils ahead of lunchtime at the school cafeteria.

The pupils wore the tags for one day before the faculty was instructed to stop using them. The debate on the availability in public schools of pork-free dishes is a divisive issue in France, where rightist parties and other politicians advocating strict separation between religion and state see it as proof of a creeping influence on the public sphere, mostly by Muslims immigrants.

Malika Ounes, a conservative member of the Auxerre city council, told the news website Creusot-Infos.com: “It’s revolting. It brings back memories of dark times,” in reference to the requirement in Nazi-occupied France that Jews wear yellow stars on their clothes.

I grew up with a somewhat functioning food allocation system without any visible differentiation in a kindertagesstaette (communal daycare facility for children up to 12 years), just one time I knew of an error, sausages with a mixture of beef/pork were eaten by Muslim fellows…

Somehow food was never a big issue at that age, but later on my brother suffered bullying because of his allergy (which could lead to suffocation if the allergen was swallowed). Even without a special marking, diet alone can lead to discrimination. Being gay or outspoken even raise stronger moral and political sentiments caused by anything not conforming to a sexual norm or an official opinion.

Donald Trump To Supporter: We’re Going To Look Into Getting Rid of Muslims

Donald_Trump_Islamophobia

Emperor

Was this insane questioner in the video below who asked, “when are we going to get rid of them [i.e.Muslims]?” at the New Hampshire, Donald Trump rally for real? He fills the whole genocidal, White racist, Islamophobic discourse so extraordinarily well — too well.

In any case, yes, Michael from White Plains is real. His mind has been infected by devils, and the devils names are: Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller and everyone else, including politicians, who give succor to rants about “training camps” and “stealth Jihad” in the little echo chamber of internet anti-Muslim hate.

Trump’s response was no surprise, typical of this slice of Americana we are witnessing, he replied to Michael by saying, “we’re going to be looking at that.” It’s his base after all that feeds the Trump ego-machine and of course he’s no stranger to expressing these sentiments himself.

Liberals also need to check themselves for a moment before they pat themselves on the back. The likes of Bill Maher and Sam Harris say the same sort of thing but couch it often in much more insidious language.

“We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims,” an unidentified man who spoke at a question-and-answer town hall event in Rochester, New Hampshire asked the mogul at a rally Thursday night. “You know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American.”

A seemingly bewildered Trump interrupted the man, chuckling, “We need this question. This is the first question.”

“Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us,” the man, wearing a “Trump” T-shirt, continued. “That’s my question: When can we get rid of them?”

“We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things,” Trump replied. “You know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening. We’re going to be looking at that and many other things.” via. CNN

Kentucky Mosque Vandalized

Apparently, someone decided they were going to do some hate vandalism “for the Jews.”

OK.

By Sarah Eissenmenger, WAVE

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Red spray paint was used to write several anti-Islamic messages on the exterior of a building of worship.

The vandalism was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Louisville Islamic Center, located in the 4000 block of River Road.

Curse words and a Star of David were among the graffiti sprayed all over the Islamic Center.

Despite the hateful messages, it didn’t take long for members of the Jewish community to come to Mosque. Those who were there were quick to back their brothers and sisters of the Muslim faith.

The mosque has been a place of worship for the Muslim community of Louisville for years. But this, this is the first time it has been the target of vandalism.

Hate Crime: Sikh Man Attacked In Chicago Area, Called “Bin Laden”

Inderjit_Singh_Mukker

Islamophobia apologists will continue to say, “well, Islamophobia isn’t real because like, Muslims aren’t a race.” Clearly, those who continue to conflate Sikh turbans and brownness with Muslim haven’t gotten the memo.

By Kimberly Fornek and Steve Schering, Chicago Tribune

A Darien man who was attacked Tuesday in what police are investigating as a possible hate crime has returned home from the hospital, his father said Thursday.

Police say they suspect a 17-year-old in the case of a Sikh man, Inderjit Singh Mukker, 53, a Darien resident and U.S. citizen, who was beaten and called a terrorist in Darien.

The incident took place about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, when men in two vehicles became involved in “some type of traffic altercation,” Darien Police Chief Ernest Brown said. One driver pulled his car in front of the other man, who had stopped, and then got out and hit the other driver in the face, Brown said.

Officials with the Sikh Coalition, a Sikh advocacy group, said Mukker was driving to a grocery store on South Cass Avenue when another driver began yelling at him to “go back to your country,” and called him a “terrorist” and “Bin Laden.”

According to the coalition, Mukker pulled over near 69th and Cass to let the other vehicle pass, but the driver pulled in front of him and approached his car. The coalition said he then reached in and repeatedly punched Mukker in the face. The coalition said Mukker lost consciousness, was bleeding and had a broken cheekbone. He was taken to the hospital, where he got six stitches, the coalition reported.

It is justifiable and cannot be bent by worldly things given the exception of the occasional misguided fool.

I really feel sorry for this Sikh Man.Racial hate crimes by white people against ethnic minorities seem to be ignored by the media but if it’s the other way around it gets a lot of coverage. The New York Times’ ISIS Rape Story and the Islamophobic Lie Machine

The New York Times article about ISIS’ theology of sanctioning enslavement and rape, like the previous article by Graeme Wood in the Atlantic on the question of whether ISIS is “Islamic” or not created a lot of controversy and discussion.

The article has several serious issues that have been highlighted by commentators, Islamophobes predictably decided that they would use it as a boon to forward their narrative about Islam and Muslims. Take the queen bee of loony Islamophobia, Pamela Geller, she was up to her old shtick of lying and manipulating in an attempt to propagate not only her narrative on Islam but also a smug attempt at saying ‘Hey you libtard, dhimmis, I was right all along, see! Now you have the liberal paper of record saying what I said.’

However, like her Islamophobic comrades, she has to lie and twist in an attempt to achieve this point (see below). Not a surprise but the audacity of her chutzpah and how little she thinks of her :followers” is still striking.

Train gunman ‘dumbfounded’ by terrorist tag, says he was hungry

French soldiers patrol at Gare du Nord train station in Paris, France, Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. (AP)

Is this a post-fact defense tactic to try and exculpate himself from the crime or was he really attempting to rob the train? What doesn’t make sense is why do you need an AK to rob a train and who just finds AK’s lying around in a park? Also we need to learn more about what actually went down on the train.

By Reuters | Paris/Algeciras, Spain Sunday, 23 August 2015

A gunman who attacked passengers on a high-speed train in France two days ago is “dumbfounded” at having been taken for an Islamist militant and says he only intended to rob people on board because he was hungry, his lawyer said on Sunday.

As details emerged of the gunman’s early adult life in Spain, lawyer Sophie David said her client — now in detention near Paris — also looked ill and malnourished.

French and Spanish sources close to the case have identified him as a 26-year-old Moroccan named Ayoub el Khazzani who was known to European authorities as a suspected Islamist militant.

“(I saw) somebody who was very sick, somebody very weakened physically, as if he suffered from malnutrition, very, very thin and very haggard,” David told BFMTV.

“He is dumbfounded by the terrorist motives attributed to his action,” she added.

David said the man was barefoot and wore only a hospital shirt and boxer shorts for the police interrogation in Arras, northern France, where the train stopped after the incident.

The Moroccan told David he had found the Kalashnikov he had taken onto the train in a park near the Gare du Midi rail station in Brussels where he was in the habit of sleeping.

“A few days later he decided to get on a train that some other homeless people told him would be full of wealthy people travelling from Amsterdam to Paris and he hoped to feed himself by armed robbery,” David said.

Come on, why print this? It strains credulity. A man gets on a train with a kalishnikov that he “found” in order to rob people because he was hungry? As if you are going to find a kalishnikov with loads of ammunition stashed in a public park in France. If he was hungry, why not sell the kalishnikov that he found.

    • Bill

I’m not convinced that it was “for bread” either, but we DO know that he didn’t buy an AK 47. This happened in Europe, remember? He may have “found” the gun (not necessarily in such an innocent manner as he claims) or he may have been provided with it by a network of people who can get around gun controls – as we all assumed in the first place – but we can be sure that he didn’t take his grocery money to a Belgian gun-shop to buy a Red Army surplus assault rifle.

    • Otto

Thankfully, this fellow was not able to follow through with his intent. Ah … let’s send him away to “camp” for a lengthy spell and impose some therapy upon him.

    • 786 The description of the man’s attire suggests that if he is not, indeed, homeless and hungry he may at the very least be mentally ill.

    • Otto

Looks like they got a bad guy here – regardless of his motivation. Thanks LW for providing us this story.

    • cmyfe .

I’m not convinced that it was for “bread”. Did he have the money to buy guns an ammo but couldn’t afford “bread”? Regardless of his motives may I suggest the Islamic punishment for armed robbery?

    • Yes – again – violet crime by a criminal of a “Muslim” background is “terrorism.” The most instances we see violent crimes by “Muslims” labeled as “terrorism” the more discriminatory the “terrorism” label becomes.

Somewhere along the line here, sharp human rights attorneys, both here and in Europe, need to start challenge the discriminatory nature of governments’ usage of the “terrorism” label, especially if it causes more surveillance, more harassment of Muslim citizens, more dubious “counter-terrorism”activities on the part of governments, and that includes enhanced prison sentences for “terrorists.”

Challenge to the “terrorism” label should occur despicably if a defendant is facing enhanced penalties due to a “terrorism.” This is the case in the Netherlands with the convictions of the members of Mohammed Bouyeri’s street gang, the Hofstad gang.

Jon Ritzheimer’s Militia Pals Moonlighted As Drug, Cash ‘Rip crew’

Arizona Special Operations Group

“Deatherage and Frazier are members of a militia called Arizona Special Operations Group, The ASOG also provided security for Jon Ritzheimer.”

By Morgan Loew, PHOENIX (CBS5) –

Three members of a border militia group are behind bars, charged with conspiracy to sell cocaine. They were caught in an FBI sting operation, involving an undercover agent, a plot to steal drugs and money from cartel smugglers, an offer of murder for hire and a high speed chase through the streets of Phoenix.

The FBI arrested Parris Frazier, Robert Deatherage and Erik Foster on July 22, following a seven-month investigation.

According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, Customs and Border Protection agents first made contact with Frazier during a traffic stop in January. The complaint states that the agents mentioned that they had recently lost contact with an informal source, who was giving them details about illegal activity. Frazier reportedly stated that he would like to make contact with that informant in order to help the Border Patrol.

Two weeks later, an undercover FBI agent made contact with Frazier, claiming to be the Border Patrol’s source.

The complaint states:

“Frazier said he had a small group of Patriots that he trusted and they were trying to take care of (steal) anything that came up out of Mexico (drugs) or was going back into Mexico (bulk cash), but they preferred the cash loads going south. Frazier told the UCE that if he provided decent intel on stuff going south (bulk cash), Frazier would give the UCE a percentage of whatever is taken.”

The complaint states that over the course of the next six months, the undercover agent made contact with Frazier several more times, and set up fictitious drug and cash “rips” that were monitored by the Phoenix Police Department and the FBI. At one point, Frazier reportedly offered to kill anyone the undercover agent wanted “taken out.”

The complaint describes instances where authorities set up scenarios in which Frazier and his team believed they were stealing cartel cash.
