Extremist who attacked George Galloway is jailed for 16 months

A man who attacked the Respect MP George Galloway in a London street has been jailed for 16 months.

Drug addict Neil Masterson, 39, left the pro-Palestine MP for Bradford West with cuts and bruises to his head and ribs and requiring hospital treatment after the frenzied assault in Notting Hill in August.

Masterson, who was wearing a pink t-shirt with an Israeli Defence Force logo when he was arrested nearby, told police he felt “morally justified” in attacking the MP because he was a “Nazi” with a “shameful” attitude towards Jews, Isleworth Crown Court heard.

Galloway, the court heard, believes he would have been killed if Masterson, who had “recently undergone a conversion towards Judaism”, had been armed with a knife during their chance meeting.

Masterson, of Kensington, who used to work for the Department of Work and Pensions and as a manager at the BBC, had previously admitted assaulting Mr Galloway and a second charge of common assault against a man who had been posing for a picture with the MP as the attack happened.

Judge Aidan Marron QC told the clean-shaven and smartly suited Masterson: “While you are no longer facing a charge of religiously aggravated assault, it would be unreal to ignore that the motivation for this … was your profound hostility to Mr Galloway’s views.”

He added that Masterson’s “loathing” of Galloway was manifested by what he did at the start of the assault and said afterwards in interviews.

The court heard that 60-year-old former Labour MP Mr Galloway had been in London on private business when the attack happened at around 7.25pm on Friday August 29.

He was posing for a photo near his car in Golborne Road with Moroccan doctor Mostafa Maroof and a friend when Masterson approached them “in a rage”, prosecutor Michelle Nelson told the court. She said he mentioned the Holocaust, leading Mr Galloway to fear he was a right-wing extremist.

The attack on the MP included 10 punches and a “Kung-fu style” kick which did not connect but caused Mr Galloway to fall into the road, where Masterson continued hitting him.

Mr Maroof, who was shoved over in the attack, and his friend managed to push Masterson away and prevent him from launching another attack before he fled onto a bus, the court heard.

The three men called 999 and then got in Mr Galloway’s car to follow Masterson’s bus, despite police telling them not to. They flagged down a passing patrol car which stopped the bus and officers arrested Masterson.

Ms Nelson said Masterson admitted to police he said “Anti-semitic little man, I f****** despise you” during the attack and described Galloway as “a morally and intellectually bankrupt person”.

She added: “The defendant said that he wanted to make Mr Galloway realise that his attitude towards Jews was shameful, it shames all Catholics and it shames anyone who has any idea of humanity. He felt he (Galloway) is a serpent in a way.”

She continued: “He felt he was morally justified in assaulting Mr Galloway. He said he thought Galloway was a Nazi and his political views were hate.”

Mr Galloway welcomed the sentence but questioned the decision to drop a charge of religiously aggravated assault. He said:

“The sentence is reasonable in the circumstances. However, had the charge of religiously aggravated assault not been dropped I’m sure it would have been considerably longer and I fail to see why that charge was dropped given that he was wearing an IDF T-shirt and screaming about Israel and me. If an Asian man wearing a Palestinian T-shirt had attacked a pro-Israeli MP would the sentence have been the same?”

In a victim impact statement read in court Mr Galloway described still being in pain from his injuries and how it had left his wife and children in a “constant state of worry”. “I no longer go anywhere alone”, he wrote. “I now need to have someone with me while working.”

Hillingdon Times, 11 December 2014

Masterson’s Facebook page provides an insight into his political ideology, which is typical far-right Islamophobia, inspired by groups such as Britain First. Like many who hold these views Masterson is a fervent Zionist, seeing the state of Israel as a bulwark against Islam. Along with declarations of admiration for the IDF, he repeatedly calls for the suppression of Islam in the UK. In a rambling open letter to David Cameron, which accompanies a link to a video promoting a protest against the Muslim Brotherhood organised by the EDL splinter group the South East Alliance, Masterson writes:

“The fault line between Islam and democracy is terminal … This country became great as a function of its vigorous prosecution of Catholicism over centuries: we excluded them from all forms of collective worship; public and civic life; etc etc… So, I ask you, as a man of all things fair: why is Islam getting a free pass when it is infinitely more alien to our culture than Catholicism? … the enemy is right in front of us and it is patient and vowed to destruction. Shows them the true awe and majesty of the law and make anti Islamic legislation the centrepiece of a second reformation; it is the surest path to the glory of a new Britannia.”

Rather than targeting Muslims, Masterson chose instead to attack George Galloway – a left-wing politician with a strong record of support for both the Muslim community and the Palestinian cause. It’s the same far-right reasoning that motivated Breivik’s massacre on Utøya.

    • “The three men called 999 and then got in Mr Galloway’s car to follow Masterson’s bus, despite police telling them not to.”

That was a perspicacious move on Mr. Galloway’s part. Based on every single experience I have ever had with police in my own country, if Galloway had not done so the perpetrator would never, ever have been caught.

Masterson wrote, “This country became great as a function of its vigorous prosecution [sic] of Catholicism over centuries: we excluded them from all forms of collective worship; public and civic life; etc etc…” How can somepony who says that England became great because of the persecution of Catholics accuse ANYPONY of being anti-Catholic?

It’s good to see crimes like Masterson’s being prosecuted. Unfortunately, what’s most likely to happen is that the EDL members who serve time will, upon their release, be looked upon by the up-and-coming generation of haters as wise elders who have run the gauntlet. It’s happened before.

Typical right-winger liar. If there are any Islamic country that institutes the dhimmi system, then they are in the extreme minority not to mention that the dhimmi system was never a second-class system. Thats typical of right-winger loons like you, desperate to justify your insanity and oppression of Muslim minorities and attacks on left-wingers with lies. Go back to your Hitler dildo.

First of all, the offender is obviously not in his right mind, but nothing else could have been expected from a Zionutzee. I am not british, but I would be cautious about George Galloway, as well. This man is a lunatic, and to my knowledge an Assad supporter. I kinda liked him at one time, but his political affiliations are very dubious to say the least. I have the impression he is not very honest a guy, and might unfortunately not be someone he feigns to be. I derived my opinion from several appearances, talks and debates of his in british, arab and persian media. My two cents.

You got your JDL terrorists mixed up there – it was Earl Krugel who was murdered in prison. Irv Rubin committed suicide while awaiting trial.

We are all a semi-protected underclass no matter where we live. If you really think you have a say in what your government does then you are either part of elite, incredibly sheltered or deluded. You oppose mass immigration, yet mass immigration is what is taking place. You oppose multiculturalism, yet its here and to stay. You pay taxes, yet the leaders don’t care what you think and you applauded your self and thump your chest with pride claiming your not a Dhimmi. In fact your situation is worse than that of a Dhimmi the Dhimmis weren’t ordered to think they have a say in the government and feel proud of it.

What about equal rights for Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims in the West? Anyone whom is deemed a threat is terminated by the police forces, not just the US but in Europe as well. It’s easy to leave Islam, just stop practicing it, it’s impossible to stop being Black.

There is a lot of selective reading on Fox News, CNN and there is a lot of censorship in the West as well, perhaps orders from your Pastor, Government Minder, or Zionist NSA Hunchback Google Operative. You don;t have the freedom you keep insisting to yourself you do. Stop day dreaming.

Millions of spies keeping tabs on your opinion making sure you have been programmed in accordance to protocols you have not even seen, son.

Hindu Nationalist Girl’s Camp: We’ll Build Bombs, We’ll Shoot Dead Muslims, We’ll Reclaim India

Hindu_Girls_Camp

By Emperor

Hindutva, or Hindu Nationalism, which combines a fundamentalist understanding of Hinduism with Indian nationalism has been on the ascendancy for decades, culminating in the presidential victory of the fascist Narendra Modi.

Hindutva organizations are highly organized, they are also opponents of Hindus converting to either Christianity or Islam. They have spearheaded anti-conversion legislation in numerous states that prevent or make near impossible the conversion of a Hindu to another religion; often justifying it as a necessary measure to counteract the use of material incentives by missionaries.  However, they have no compunction themselves in aggressively offering monetary incentives to Muslims and Christians to convert to Hinduism in highly publicized ‘reconversion ceremonies.’

For years now Hindutva groups, such as the Sangh Parivar have been holding training camps for youth where they are indoctrinated in an ideology that has as its central doctrine the subjugation and elimination of non-Hindu religions.

The following video highlights the dehumanizing and violent indoctrination that Hindtuva groups are leaving on the impressionable minds of India’s young girls (h/t: Abu ‘Alimah).

Girls in the video can be seen speaking of their supremacist beliefs, their love and desire for fighting and killing non-Hindus. This sort of mentality has already caused significant damage in the past to relations between India’s various religious and ethnic groups and it promises to perpetuate hate and violence.:

I mean the RSS, the Burmese 969, the Cetniks, and all other such bloodthirsty thugs ouzt for the blood of Muslims.

    • Friend of Bosnia

After having seen what the war in Bosnia was about I can only say: In the end it was GENOCIDE! What are you, a christianofascist white supremacist come to tell me that we should better “go back to the desert”? If that’s so you can SHOVE IT!

You may think of Muslims what you like, but you have NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to challenge my existence , my location, my homeland, my dignity. NO MATTER WHAT THE SALAFIST IDIOTS ARE CURRENTLY DOING! I’m NOT having the responsibility for thir hideous actions thrusted on me! I will NOT pay the price for IS!

FYI: The Spanish Muslims were largely descended from Ibero-Roman and Visigioth people just in the same way as the Bosniaks of today are descended from the formerly mostly Catholic (and that also because they had been forced into it) inhabitans of Bosnia, and not from Turks. They were NOT invaders! And as for those Spanish Muslims descended from Arfabs and Berbers, after having lived there for centuries it was their homeland too! The issue at hand is not so much that Christian kings conquered the Muslim kingdoms of Spain land but that they forced the Spanish Muslims to become Christians, thus forcing them to give up their identity, and then kept harassing, oppressing and pursuing them and finally expelled them in the most undignified manner! And obliterated their culture! The Serbs tried to do exactly the exactly same thing and for the exactly same reasons! Don’t even TRY to convince me otherwise, I have experienced all this s…t firsthand before and there is no need for anyone trying to peddle the Greater Serb anti-Muslim vievpoint to me! That is no “self-defense!” In the same way the Serb genocidal crusade was not “self-defense”! It was just a large act of robbery!

Nowadays, whenever I hear the typical islamophobic smear like “they multiply like rabbits…their religion is an evil cult of death… Islam is undemocratic, mysogynist, inhuman, a bad parody of Christianity, is antisemite…the Qur’an is like Mein Kampf…they want to take over… we’re doing to them only what they wanted to do to us… ” and other such sh/t, I am reminded of 1991-92. Then the Serbs said and spread in their media the exactly same things. As a self-serving and self-moralizing excuse to commit robbery, rape and mass murder, so they would feel like crusader knights in shinimng armor defending a good cause and not like what they were, bandits and thugs. And yes, they committed genocide. Killing 100.000 out of two million people, and turning about one million of them onto refugees, scattering them all over the world, may to some seem not as bad as the Nazis killing six million Jews (and God knows how many Roma). But you can believe me, to avery single one of them it’s just as bad. Even to say that “If you compare the mass murders in Bosnia with the Holoocaust you are disparaging the Jews” is nothing but bad war propaganda. So it was all right, or at least it wasn’t all that bad, to kill the Bosniaks because they are not Jewish but Muslims, eh?

So, every time I hear that anti-Muslim smear I feel threatened. I feel that those who utter it and who believe it are a deadly danger for such as me. Don’t even try to convince me otherwise. Refrain from insulting my intelligence.

I will not be led like a lamb to the slaughter! I will not let myself be humiliated by the declared enemies of my people! I may have been powerless once to stop the holocaust committed against the Bosniak people but I will do all that I can to stop it from being committed yet another time! And my solidarity extends to the Palestinians, the Rohingya, the Uyghurs, the Muslims of the Central African Republic and all and any of my other brothers and sisters worldwide who are faced with the threat of expulsion, extinction, Genocide! MAy the murderous intent of all those who hate us fall on their own heads instead! May they meet the fate they desire for us! May they never find peace, not in this life, not in the Hereafter! May they and their descendants be cursed for ever and ever! May their abode be Hell!

I think what really bothers you is the mere fact that I exist, that I am there. And do you know something , Mister Crusader Kinght? I INTEND TO STAY! You want to remove me, then you must kill me! And if you come with overwhelming force, if such pig-faced thugs with the manners of pigs come to drive me out of my house and to humiliate and kill me in the bargain, I solemnly promise that I will at least take down SIX Crusader sideboys down with me before I’m offed!

Muslims are not lesser human beings!

Pakistan has the monopoly in the region when it comes to creating proxy groups. If one radical Hindu organization starts communal violence, the Pakistani military/intelligence will not hesitate in exponentially increasing the violence with their proxy militias to hurt India.

I’m not claiming to be a foreign policy expert but it would be India’s best interest to keep radical Hindu groups like this suppressed.

The US dimension exists and has its importance, especially for US allies such as KSA or other monarchies and there are many sectors who would like to see status quo perpetuating. But history shows repeatedly that there are tons of unpredictable events that happen, and the surprising thing about these Arab uprisings is that it took so long for the to happen. But there are power counter revolutions at play with devastating effects, and the situation is more than confusion.

Dutch Lawmaker: “No Place For Islam” in Netherlands

Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders called his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the night of Nov. 26. The two spoke about the integration of Turkish and Muslim immigrants in the northern European country. AFP Photo

It’s not just Wilders, but other members of his PVV party who make grotesque statements about Islam and Muslims that should have no place in a 21st century pluralistic society. Interestingly enough, a major social democratic party, the PvdA is also being charged with facilitating a hostile attitude towards Muslims and Dutch citizens of Turkish descent.

Hurriyet Daily

Turkey concerned over ‘xenophobia’

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry had previously released a statement that complained to Dutch authorities about “aggressive and racist accusations” being made against the Turkish community in the Netherlands, and warned that the issue could harm bilateral relations.

Foreign ministry spokesman Tanju Bilgic said in a written statement on Nov. 26 that Dutch government officials had prepared a xenophobic report about Turkish associations in the Netherlands.

“Aggressive and racist accusations toward Turks who are part of Dutch society and who come from a friendly allied nation are unacceptable,” read the statement. “We have difficulty understanding why these racist attacks, which are incompatible with our long history with the Dutch nation, have been on the agenda recently.”

Turkish officials are also infuriated by a report stating that around 80 percent of young Turkish people in the Netherlands support jihadist movements.

Mosque purge suggestion

Adding fuel to the fire, a Party for Freedom (PVV) lawmaker in recently proposed that all mosques in the Netherlands should be closed. However, Deputy Prime Minister Lodewijk Asscher said any closure of mosques in the country would be “unacceptable.”

“Dutch unity, identity and culture are being wrecked by immigration and incubation. We do not want Islam in the Netherlands,” PVV deputy Machiel de Graaf had said.

Two weeks ago, two lawmakers of Turkish descent from the Labor Party (PvdA) were expelled after refusing to support their party’s critical remarks about a number of Turkish organizations accused of being “too focused on promoting Turkish and Islamic identity.”

The expelled parliamentarians said they were asked to sign a declaration during a party meeting aimed at stepping up surveillance on four Turkish organizations, but they refused to do so and were removed from the party as a result.

    • Friend of Bosnia

If you mean to say that Islam is “terrorism” and that IS is “te true nature of Islam” then GET OUT OF HERE!!!!

    • Capt. JB Hennessy

      “Because it’s very much relevant.”

Well in that case why did you claim it wasn’t relevant. You seriously should know what you want to talk about before you talk about it.

“The only reason we’re tolerating this menace in our cities and towns is because at the moment we’re still dependent on oil from Muslim countries. The moment the oil goes, we lose all obligations to receive and house yet more Muslim migrants and to meet their demands every single time.”

What a bunch of childish foot stomping incoherent babble. You are not tolerating anything, you are forcing pork on Muslim kids, you are raiding Mosques and vandalizing them, you are assaulting women and girls wearing headscarves and you are calling for deportation of Muslims even those from your own ethnicity and bombing of Muslim countries. The reason you haven’t launched a full scale war against Muslims is because you are outnumbered and don’t have the patience nor the stamina nor the youth on your side. Your just a bunch of old men who are outclassed and who will be out lived by not just Muslims but who are on the side of Muslims because it’s the youth that is.

“Are you fundamentally incapable of handling the fact that multiple factors can play a role in the outcome of a complex economic matter? It’s a two-pronged thing: (1) we are reducing our base oil dependence and (2) the production of oil in countries more civilized is rising, and therefore we’ll lower our dependence on Muslim oil twice as fast as we would if only one of these conditions was true.”

You obviously aren’t even slightly aware of the basics of investment, global trade and out sourcing. You are a service industry nation, provide services for the old and redundant. Manufacturing has moved to China and India and it is the Muslims who are buying the toys because they are the younger demographics. China, Russia, India, South America are all increasing their presence in the ME and other Muslim countries. Secondly you are deluded if you think the only product Muslims have is oil and the only Muslim country is Saudi Arabia. Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Indonesia are all non-oil driven economies as is Lebanon, Malaysia and Pakistan. And mass starvation is not present in those countries.

“I wasn’t talking about that. They’re our main export partners. They’re the countries that matter.”

What the Dutch make can easily be bought elsewhere, they don’t make anything of importance for the world market to begin with. Worthless stereos, cheese, and boats that no one buys to begin with. Russia just cancelled the South Stream project and is moving towards Turkey. China is investing billions into Kazakhstan. As far as Saudi Arabia goes it doesn’t need the Dutch, they can get cheese and cosmetics from any place they like. They are the buyers, your the sellers. You work for them.

“They’re going to lose their investments one by one. Either they’ll lose funds for new investments, or they’ll have to sell their current investments in order to prop up the family property at home. They’re going to see a massive economic downturn at home, you see – a vast majority of Saudi Arabia’s total GDP (and more than 90% of Saudi export) comes from the petroleum sector. Without petroleum, Saudi Arabia will collapse no matter how many foreign investments a handful of their families hold. Saudi Arabia’s economy, minus petroleum export, is worse off than Egypt’s or Libya’s and similar to Yemen’s. And we all know this will happen.”

The Saudi Royal family is not interested in Saudi Arabia, they own more property in Britain than they do in Saudi Arabia. And the collapse of their economy is speculative based on oil becoming obsolete. And its just about Saudi Arabia, no one really cares if the Royal House of Saud goes belly up. The British dragged them out of the desert they can certainly be sent back. Or they can just move the Netherlands and start a cheese farm.

“Yes, I am. That’s why De Gaulle, who had heard the stories from his field officers, absolutely and personally forbade their use during the Liberation of Paris. He knew their reputation, and everyone else in Europe did too.”

So what were names of the French officers and the Muslim soldiers that were responsible for the atrocities committed? It would be very interesting to know because De Gaule had a habit of calling all Black and Spanish troops “Muslims”.

“U.S. troops committed 208 rapes and about 30 murders in the department of Manche. French men also raped women perceived as collaborators with the Germans.

With the help of the French authorities U.S. officers allegedly scapegoated African American soldiers, proclaiming rape to be black crime. Military courts sentenced African American soldiers to more severe punishment than white American soldiers. U.S. forces executed 29 soldiers as conducting rapes, including 25 African Americans.”

So we know the French officers aren’t shy of pointing out rape allegations for those that weren’t French or White. Just wondering what names you have of the Muslim soldiers accused.

    • Capt. JB Hennessy

“Well, that doesn’t matter. We’re working on reducing our oil dependence in general by using machines that use less oil and sometimes even work without oil.”

Well if doesn’t matter then why did you mention it? And continue to mention it.

“This isn’t about the oil price – it’s about our use of oil dropping while new ways of extracting oil are being developed in the western world and in Asia (so now Asia’s oil dependence will also drop).”

So the use of oil is dropping yet the Western world and Asia are developing new techniques to extract oil because they don’t need it. Interesting statement. According to your logic when on one wants bread the West and Asia will start baking more of it. Fantastic understanding of Global Trade and economics.

“Let them do that, by all means. America, China, Russia, India and Japan are much more interesting than Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”

America, China, Russia, India and Japan have nothing to do with it. It’s about the Netherlands, don’t start thinking if your products aren’t being sold in Muslim countries the Indians, Russians, Americans and China are going to start deporting Muslims and imposing sanctions on Saudi Arabia. Global trade doesn’t work that way. Those countries will step in and sell their products.

“Besides, without their income from oil the latter few countries will fall back into the abject poverty that they were in before oil was found (Saudi Arabia was one of the world’s poorest countries in the 1920s, and the Emirates lived off pearl diving and sustenance fishing). They need us, and soon we will no longer need them.”

Are you suggesting once the oil income dries up the Saudi investors in Apple, News Corp, Citibank, Chrysler, GMC, IBM and Volkswagen are suddenly going sell off all their shares and move into the desert? Rather child like and immature statement, where did you get that idea, I’m curious to know.

“That’s because they really were a threat. In Italy, they were considered even more brutal and violent than the Germans. In one incident, they killed hundreds of civilians and raped literally all women between the ages of ten and seventy in a town. Charles de Gaulle personally forbade the use of non-white soldiers in the liberation of Paris for the same reason – they behaved like absolute beasts.”

Are you suggesting that British, French and other Allied officers stood by and allowed Muslim soldiers to rape and murder innocent civilians? The Colonial troops were all under the command of allied officers. It’s rather condemning of you to claim allied officers and other military personnel turned a blind eye to raping and pillaging of White Europeans by Muslim, Sikh and Hindu soldiers.

You should stop listening to Pam Geller and Robert Spencer their job is to dumb down the already ignorant.

    • Capt. JB Hennessy

Once the oil price hits below $50 a barrel Asian and American oil drilling will drop as it costs more to extract oil from those regions than it does from the Middle East. Oil is already at $55 a barrel. So good luck with that dream.

Second issue it sounds fair as long as you don’t suddenly start seeing bright and shinny threatening aluminum tubes once the Muslim nations stop buying your products, closing down your embassies and start sending Dutch workers back.

It’s not about the Muslims will handle it, they can, it’s happened to them before. After fighting for British and French armies to liberate France, Italy and Holland the Muslim soldiers were immediately deemed a threat and sent home, over 500,000 of them.

Its going to be about how an old man will handle his pension cuts when the tax revenue starts to dry up and the garbage starts to pile up because their aren’t enough workers willing to work for minimum wage and the Feds can’t collect the tax revenue for old men who aren’t working nor buying anything.

    • Mifeng86

Since we’re discussing racist Dutch politicians I figured I’d mention Pim Fortuyn. If his racism and xenophobia weren’t repellent enough wait ’til you read what his views on pedophilia were. Fortuyn stated that being molested at 5 years old was a positive experience.

    • René Martin

It’s a bit strange that Turkey considers Dutch citizens of Turkish descent, no matter how many generations removed from Turkey, as Turkish citizens instead of the Dutch citizens they in fact are.

    • Capt. JB Hennessy

The US right wing Christian hate for Islam has to do with Israel. The Conservative Christians in the US believe that Israel is a Prophecy come true and any criticism of what Israel does is criticism of Christianity. And they have deluded themselves into think all Israeli criticism comes from Muslims. I have even witnessed times when a Jewish individual criticizes Israel they are immediately labelled Muslim. Basically they have turned the identification “Muslim” to the label “anti-Semitic”.

Here is where it gets really interesting Catholics and Orthodox Christians are not seen as fellow Christians but as Heretics and the reason for that is Palestinian Christians are either Catholic or Orthodox Christians and neither Church supports Israeli actions against the Palestinians. And within that Conservative Christian group you have Rapture Christians who believe Israel should be given a freehand to commit abuses against the Palestinians so Jesus will return and wipe both the Muslims and Jews out and then create his Kingdom.

Geert Wilders is very similar to Bill Maher both are Zionist Atheists.

    • In the Netherlands this is the VVD representing the business-merchant class. This too is historical. It is not surprising that the American conservatives and neocons gravitate toward them. Note that your troublemakers in terms of bigotry come from the VVD party. Frits Bolkestein to Geert Wilders the bigots come out of the VVD party. They also celebrate Reagan and Thatcher. The main troublemakers are American neocons with global connections to other Reagan-Thatcher admirers.

I see historians discuss Dutch religious tolerance and remark that the Dutch are tolerant by nature. Some of this “new” bigotry is very much like what was directed at Catholics: They were enemies to the Dutch nation because of sharing a religious faith with the enemy Spanish.

The VVD and its anti-Dutch PVV are a pillar of hate, as well as a pillar of counter-Dutch values.

Do what China did and isolate yourself for 70 years. Close all embassies, stop outgoing migration, stop sending students at very high tuition rates abroad. Sounds very poetic really but in all practicality for the powers that be, they won’t allow it.

The Muslim population is currently the youngest in the world and thanks to oil revenues which have given Muslim countries with oil the ability to provide fairly decent college educations therefore educated as well. Europe needs youth the average age of an European is 35 years old its a continent that has almost equal old age person as newborns. They are also very socialist in nature, want free stuff from the Feds. Where are they going to get the younger tax paying crowd from to feed their addictions?

Then you have the middle to upper middle class that won’t leave, they too are a young, fashionable crowd who want their Ipads, BMWs and Facebook.

Those who declare war on money, lose everything.

The Dutch have always been known to be multicultural. They’ve ruled other parts of the world including Islamic countries so this sudden hate is something of an anomaly in itself. On the other hand there is huge funding for Christian religious nationalists organizations such as the Evangelicals who are known to have funded groups like the Tea Party in the US, BNP and currently UKIP in the UK, Progressive Conservatives in Canada, Conservatives in Australia and these groups have ties to corner shop hatemongers like Pam Geller and Robert Spencer.

Big money is supporting the hate.

    • Friend of Bosnia

      That’s a good one!

    • Friend of Bosnia

Also note that if I ever said something that could be construed into a threat it always refers to an actual enemy, on the front line as it were. If I meet some islamophobe in a shop or a theater, as long as he treats me with the same respect he expects to be treated with, I have exactly as little right to slap his face as he has to slap mine. However, on the front line, it’s a very very different matter. If I am physically attacked however, what should I do? I have already been assaulted in my house and almost be beatten to death. That lousy individual who goes by the nick of “zoroaster” just comes here to infuriate and provoke. Such desppicablke individuals are worth less than th edirt under the sholes of my shoes. But if they stand for genocide, I can tell you this: prior t 1992 I could not imagine that genocide could happen. Since then I divide mankind into two groups: non-genocidals and genocidals. As for genocidals, they have forfeited all their rights. They should never have been born. They do not deserve to walk this earth. Even the most hideous and refined of Chinese torture would be too goood for them. Even their names should be made to cease to exist – “Damnatio memoriae”. Since we can’t do that and should not do it except in times of war, at least we can tell them they are not welcome and if need be prevent them from coming back. For the moment it seems that he’s crawled away with his tail between his legs – but as the saying goes, bad weeds never die out. Anyway, as I have said, sparring with such individuals is like facing teh schoolyard bully again like when I was 12. And since then I can’t stand the sight of one or more 15-year-olds beating up a 12-year-old kid. I couldn’t just walk by and pretend it doesn’t concern me. And since I’m not particularly good at fist-fighting, and some of those 15-year-olds are so brawny – one of them beast a 23-year old Turkish girl to death a fortnight back in Offenbach, Germany, because she had dared stop him from bullying thwo 13-year-old girls! Dammit, I don’t want to be killed like that. Yet if I come across such a scenario, I must intervene. Then I’d feel safer if I had a .45, or at least a two-by-four. Not necessarily to kill but to dissuade. One does not try to reason with such beasts, as much as one does not offer peaceful protest if faced with machine guns. As for putting back somebody into their place this doesn’t necessarily mean physical violence either; it can also refer t refuet their arguments, to expose them as frauds and liars. And this idiot went to all th etrouble to look up all the legal asopects , as if he could dissuade me. In real life I try to stay away as far as I can from such individuals, I don’t go to the places they usually gather, I don’t go out looking for a fight. I’m not suicidal. It’s just as well that such bullies are essentially cowards at heart and are as much afraid of physical pain as their victims. One alone is usually no problem. But when faced by several of them on a dark ally, what am I supposed to do? Get on my knees and beg for mercy?!? Then I prefer that .45. And if possible, with hollow-point bullets too.

British Muslims Face Worst Job Discrimination of Any Minority Group

18-BurgessPark-Getty-v2

via. Independent

Muslims are facing the worst job discrimination of any minority group in Britain, according to new research which found that they had the lowest chance of being in work or in a managerial role.

Muslim men were up to 76 per cent less likely to have a job of any kind compared to white, male British Christians of the same age and with the same qualifications. And Muslim women were up to 65 per cent less likely to be employed than white Christian counterparts.

Muslims were the most disadvantaged in terms of employment prospects out of 14 ethno-religious groupings in the UK, researchers Dr Nabil Khattab and Professor Ron Johnston found using data from the Office for National Statistics’ Labour Force Survey of more than half a million people. Skin colour made little difference to the figures.

Dr Nabil Khattab, of Bristol University, said the situation was “likely to stem from placing Muslims collectively at the lowest stratum within the country’s racial or ethno-cultural system due to growing Islamophobia and hostility against them.

“They are perceived as disloyal and as a threat rather than just as a disadvantaged minority,” he added. “Within this climate, many employers will be discouraged from employing qualified Muslims, especially if there are others from their own groups or others from less threatening groups who can fill these jobs.”

Dr Khattab said the “penalties” for being Muslim got worse when applying for better-paid managerial or professional jobs.

“If this persists, it could have long-term implications for the cohesion of the UK’s multi-ethnic, multicultural society. The exclusion of well-qualified black and Muslim individuals could undermine their willingness to integrate in the wider society,” he said.

For women, Muslim Pakistanis and a “Muslim other” group were 65 per cent less likely to have a job, with Muslim Indians 55 per cent, Muslim Bangladeshis 51 per cent and white Muslims 43 per cent less likely. For men, the “Muslim other” group was 76 per cent less likely to be in work, followed by Muslim Bangladeshis (66 per cent), white Muslims (64 per cent), Muslim Pakistanis (59 per cent) and Muslim Indians (37 per cent), the Social Science Journal study found.

White British men and women of no religion were, respectively, 20 and 25 per cent less likely to have a job than Christians. Black Christians with Caribbean origins were 54 per cent and 48 per cent less likely.

The only ethno-religious group with better work prospects than white British Christians were British Jews, with women and men 29 and 15 per cent more likely to be employed.

Of those in work, the researchers found only 23 per cent and 27 per cent of Muslim Bangladeshis and Muslim Pakistanis, respectively, had a salaried job. White British Jews had the highest rates, with 64 per cent in salaried jobs, followed by Hindu Indians and white Christian Irish on 53 and 51 per cent respectively. White British Christians, white British of no religion and black Christian Africans were all above 40 per cent.

It was never going to last — the Middle East is a pretty crappy place to base a great civilization (mainly because of the arid climate).

The only thing it had going for it was its position astride the Silk Road — that advantage became moot thanks to the two greatest Crusaders in history (Christopher Columbus and Vasco da Gama).

N.J. rabbi: Arabs in Israel ‘must be vanquished’

Rabbi_Steven_Pruzansky

By Ben Sales, JTA

The rabbi of a major modern Orthodox synagogue in New Jersey has written a blog post that calls for Israel to collectively punish Arab Israelis and Palestinians until they realize “they have no future in the land of Israel.”

In the post, written Friday and titled “Dealing with Savages,” Rabbi Steven Pruzansky of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck offers suggestions that range from destroying whole Palestinian towns to uprooting the Dome of the Rock.

“There is a war for the land of Israel that is being waged, and the Arabs who dwell in the land of Israel are the enemy in that war and must be vanquished,” Pruzansky writes.

The post has since been deleted, but it’s cached here.

Pruzansky refers to “the Arab-Muslim animals that span the globe chopping, hacking and merrily decapitating,” and then writes, “At a certain point, the unrestrained behavior of unruly animals becomes the fault of the zookeeper, not the animals.”

So what should Israel do? According to Pruzansky, essentially end civil and human rights for many Arab Israelis and Palestinians. Beyond killing all terrorists and demolishing their extended families’ homes, Pruzansky says Israel should destroy entire Arab villages if more than one terrorist comes from them. All the residents of those villages, he writes, should be expelled.

He also writes that rioters and stone-throwers should be shot with live ammunition, and that reporters should be barred from these scenes and have their cameras confiscated.

Pruzansky says Arabs should be barred from the Temple Mount for at least six months, and muses that “perhaps the day will come in the near future when the mosque and the dome can be uplifted intact and reset in Saudi Arabia, Syria or wherever it is wanted.”

Pruzansky writes that Palestinians and Arab Israelis as a whole are Israel’s enemy — “and that enemy rides our buses, shops in our malls, drives on our roads and lives just two miles from us.” (“Us” apparently doesn’t include Pruzansky himself, who leads a congregation 5,000 miles from Jerusalem.)

This isn’t the first time Pruzansky has made the news for his views. Earlier this month, he compared The New York Jewish Week to Der Sturmer, a Nazi newspaper. Pruzansky’s congregation, Bnai Yeshurun, has about 800 member families, according to its website, and has been led by Pruzansky for more than 20 years.

Near the end of his post, Pruzansky wonders why Israelis haven’t come to the same conclusions he has. It’s an “enduring enigma,” he says.

Israelis across the political spectrum support safeguarding the state’s democratic character. Most have consistently backed a Palestinian state. But it bears noting that almost all of those who oppose Palestinian statehood still don’t speak anything close to Pruzansky’s language.

A telling example: Naftali Bennett, who leads the furthest-right party in Knesset and strongly opposes a Palestinian state, came out quickly and vehemently last week against an Israeli city’s ban on Arab construction workers. “99.9 percent” are nonviolent, he said, and Israel should not discriminate based on race or religion.

That’s true. And of course it s not necessary that those Serbs come over to Islam, because if somebody wants to do that he or she must be convinced of it. I’m willing to respect their faith as long as they respect mine. For me it will be more than enough if they just let go of their genocidal and chauvinist ways. If they say of Bosniaks “All right, they exist.”

    • If they come in my direction with intent to do harm to anypony, Muslim or not, my Mauser has some “words” for them. But better would be for them to repent. I personally attest that it works wonders. Many of the Companions (radiallahu anhu to them all) started out as violent opponents of Islam, until alhamdulillah they were transformed by the grace of God (swt). Parliament Report: 88 pct of German Mosque Attacks Unsolved

Mevlana-Mosque-arson

via. IslamophobiaWatch

A report released by Parliament’s Human Rights Commission following the burning of three mosques in Germany in August has reached interesting conclusions in its study of Islamophobia in Germany, revealing that the vast majority of perpetrators of such crimes have gone unpunished.

Human Rights Commission President Ayhan Sefer Üstün reported on the comprehensive research carried out in Germany. The parliamentary report states that of the 297 attacks on mosques from 2001 to the present day, 244 (88 percent) of the crimes’ suspects or perpetrators have not been captured. According to the report, “A large portion of these attacks on mosques remain unpunished … opening the way for fear, worry and insecurity among members of the Muslim population.”

The Human Rights Commission, which has previously done research and prepared important reports on the problems of Turks residing in various European countries, decided to carry out the most recent research about attacks on mosques after three mosques were attacked on Aug. 11 and 19 in the German cities of Berlin and Bielefeld.

The commission, preparing its report with the help of the Turkish community and in the light of meetings with officials of the German government, found shocking evidence in its inquiry into the mosque attacks in.

The report cites figures published by the German government, noting that in the 13-year period from 2001 to 2014 there were 297 attacks on Muslim places of worship. It further notes that in 88 percent of these cases, those alleged to have performed the crime were not arrested. According to the same data, while the monthly average until 2011 was one or two attacks, in more recent years this rate has risen to three a month.

    • I don’t think you are stupid since you are Hindu. I think you are a overbearing since you want to enforce your veganism on others on a blog that is about Islamophobia and not about food choices and b) your style of writing is confusing or perhaps you do change course of direction during a conversation.

    • So your basically saying that the 88% thing is a lie. If that is the case, you should perhaps mention, in your first comment, that since you consider this article to be a fake and that’s why you want Muslims to go to Germany. I treated this information as credible so I didn’t have to do anything further than to say that it is absurd for Muslims to move to Germany based upon how they are getting persecuted there.

    • Chhotu

As I suspected, you really didn’t have read it. Now read carefully the words below the article which says, “Read the rest…” After reading the rest of the article you will find things on which I have doubts about i.e. a) The report is commissioned by Turkish Parliament commission not the German authority or any UN related agency. b) The report mentioned its source to be some German document or publication regarding which the source is not revealed of defined. Now, as a reader I would definitely find some doubts creeping in my mind like: 1) What’s the credibility of the report which is not commissioned or authorized by the host country. Do Saudi Arabia would accept any kind of report regarding its internal affairs if the report is commissioned by foreign govt., lets assume Israel for instance. Usually, the human rights reports are authorized by some UN agency so as to maintain it’s credibility. 2) Nowhere does the article mention any credible/known Press agency or source. Which in absence makes the article kinda hearsay/gossip. 3) If anyone tries to counter German authorities with that sort of article or report, then he should be aware of liable suit in return as doesn’t have any credibility in any court of law. Regarding these observations, I treated the article as just joke played on the mind of readers and responded with a joke of mine. Don’t mind that too much, it usually happens on internet.

    • Perhaps, you didn’t understand it. The report by the Humans Rights Commission in Germany concludes that out of the 297 attacks on mosques in Germany, 88% (244 in #) are unresolved – meaning the perpetuators of them are UNPUNISHED. You suggest in your comments that Muslims should start moving to Germany in higher numbers. Are you really that dense to not understand what the HRC report implies or do you have some hidden (higher level) meaning that I can’t seem to get a hold of?

    • Chhotu

I don’t think you even read the article properly. You just imagined persecution, and of you go.

    • I am not getting any “turn-ons” by these persecutions. Just pointing out the absurdity of your comment but you don’t seem to get it so never mind.

    • Chhotu

Seems you get your turn-on by all these persecutions. However, for me, the focus is on aftermath of any incident and its lessons. I think, no matter how hard you try, bad things are likely to happen as we have negative energy also in our mindset. Since, only the healing touch or the restoration of damaged sites can mitigate the suffering, so for any good humanitarian, it should be the first priority. If the German govt. is swift in handling the situation and awarding the compensation to the victim and provisioning restoration of the sites at the earliest then it will bring the German credentials higher. The report should also mention the action taken by German authorities. Also need to be researched any further action so that future incidents like this one can be best avoided. Regarding moving of Muslims to Germany, it was just to point out the fact that Muslim world need a greater number of Doctors, scientist, engineers to bring about a change in perception about them. Saudi Arabia isn’t known to me to be center of education in science and technology, else…I know it for different reasons. I know there are many good institutes now in Saudi Arabia but there’s no credibility of Muslims as the leading scientist of the world known for path-breaking invention or research despite having much wealth at disposal.

    • Isn’t the title of this post about persecution of Muslims in Germany and you suggest that Muslims should move to Germany?

    • Chhotu

Perhaps, you got only one dimensional view of people i.e. Hindu, Muslim, Christians etc. but I follow different dimension of Hinduism, which is universal and accept whatever that is good in other religion as well which is new thought, inspired by Humanism. Maybe, you can search under title Arya Samaj and find out about it or care to read the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arya_Samaj Regarding migrating to Germany, I made the remark specifically keeping in mind the persecution faced by subcontinent Muslims in Arabian countries. However, since you love Saudi Arabia so, I’m not expecting much from you..Good Night-C-ya later.

    • As a Hindu, perhaps you like Germany better. As a Muslim, I would prefer Saudi Arabia.

    • You must be joking. I don’t think Germany wants more Muslims to migrate there.

CAIR Calls for Hate Crime Probe of Vandalism Targeting N. Calif. Mosque

Why was a mosque targeted with a Star of David and the number 26?

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA, 11/20/14) — The San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) today called on state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate vandalism targeting a local mosque as a possible hate crime.

CAIR-SFBA said vandals spray-painted a Star of David and the number 26 on a door of the Islamic Center of Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Santa_Cruz_Mosque_Star_of_David

“Given ongoing violence in the Middle East, coupled with the rise of anti-Muslim sentiment in American society, we urge law enforcement authorities to investigate a possible bias motive for this vandalism,” said CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo.

CAIR recently reported a number of apparent hate attacks on Islamic institutions in the United States, including shots fired at a California mosque and a firebomb attack on a mosque in New Mexico.

Local Islamic Group Wants Probe Into HISD Teacher Who Called Muslims “Goat-Fuckers

      http://blogs.houstonpress.com/news/2014/11/hisd_teacher_angela_box_says_shes_sick_of_bacon-haters_and_goat-fucking_muslims_on_tv_show.php

The Houston office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is calling for HISD to launch an independent investigation into whether a teacher’s blatantly anti-Muslim views have bled over into the classroom.

In a letter sent to HISD Superintendent Terry Grier on Tuesday, CAIR questioned the decision by the district to keep Angela Box, a third-grade teacher at Ray Daily Elementary School who referred to Muslims as “goat-fuckers” and “bacon-haters,” on staff.

Box came under fire after Quanell X held a press conference in front of Daily Elementary school, calling for her to be fired from her job teaching third-graders after attributing a quote that uses the “N word” to the teacher.

That evidence, if it even exists at all, still hasn’t surfaced. But there were still enough xenophobic comments from Box’s appearances as a panelist on “Tommy’s Garage,” a weekly conservative public access show, to spark some outrage.

On several episodes of the show, the third-grade educator, who works at a minority-majority school, can be seen spewing anti-Muslim and racially-charged rhetoric.

The letter to HISD, written by CAIR-Houston Executive Director Mustafaa Carroll states, in part:

“We are writing regarding the hateful, bigoted and profane comments made by Angela Box, an elementary school teacher in the Houston Independent School District, on the public access TV program ‘Tommy’s Garage.’

While the Houston office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) unequivocally respects the First Amendment right to free speech, we are appalled by Ms. Box’ comments.

Please see some sample comments below:

‘Every normal human being in the world thinks that goat-f**king Muslims and boy-f**king Muslims are the evil of the world.’

‘I am so sick of the bacon-haters coming here and demanding we bend to their culture.’ [This referred to a request by Muslims receiving government assistance for food prepared according to Islamic guidelines.]. . .

In addition to her inaccurate and hateful statements regarding Islam and Muslims, we are especially concerned by her statement regarding President Obama:

‘I’m just going to say what everyone is thinking: can’t Ebola just take one for the team and take out Obama?’

There are Muslim students in the Houston Independent School District and likely in her own school who would be hurt and confused by Ms. Box’ anti-Islam statements. Given these facts, we call for an independent outside investigator to interview her students to see if her bigoted views are being expressed in class.”

Although I am not an expert, but it looks like some Kabbalist magic there. The “star of David” is often used in magic rituals by some. And as we know, the numerology plays big in Kabbalah. Tried to research a little, and found that according to Kabbalah “Love” and “One” have each 13 as numerical value. Together they make 26, and the conclusion is supposedly that the Sacred Name of God, YHVH, is 26 (see here: http://www.luminanti.com/tfkabyhvh.html and http://www.qabalah.dk/hexa.html ). Either, the message is that YHVH is God, OR it is possible that the hexagram and 26 is for banishing magic. Second planet from the sun is Venus (so #2) and sixth planet from the sun is Saturn ( so #6). I may be wrong here, but anything is possible.

Pig’s Head At Blackpool Mosque: Four Face Jail

Blackpool-Gazette-front-page

Is it a shocking attack? Perhaps, but there have been many such incidences and to myself is not that surprising. Is it insulting? Perhaps since the intent was malicious but how long is it going to take for the Islamophobic dolts who continue to commit such acts to realize that Muslims aren’t going to melt at the sight of a pig, they just can’t eat them.

via. IslamophobiaWatch

A pig’s head was left in the grounds of a mosque in a “shocking” and “insulting” attack.

The offence, which took place just two days after the murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby by Islamic extremists, “sent a shiver” down the spine of a volunteer at Blackpool Central Mosque, Preston Crown Court heard.

But today the mosque’s Imam, Ashfaq Patel, called on the judge in the case not to jail the four men who
admitted religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress. He said: “I don’t think they should be put behind bars.”

However, a judge warned the four Fylde coast men they could potentially face up to two years in prison.

Fuelling Islamophobia in the US

Khaled_Beydoun

(h/t:Saqib Ahmed)

via. AlJazeera English

By Khaled A Beydoun

The United Arab Emirates designated two Muslim-American civil rights groups – the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim American Society – among the 83 institutions included in its new terrorist group list. The designations were announced on the state’s official news agency on November 15, marking a nefarious precedent where a government of a Muslim-majority state has designated a Muslim-American institution as a “terrorist organisation”.

While the classification of both organisations as terrorist groups is alarming, the allegation against CAIR is particularly concerning. The advocacy organisation based out of Washington, DC, which encompasses 28 chapters across the United States, has stood as a vital and vocal opponent of state-sponsored discrimination against Muslim-Americans. In addition, CAIR – principally through its chapters – has carried forward unapologetic initiatives aimed at eroding Islamophobia and defending Muslim-American individuals and institutions during the post-9/11 era.

Regional politics, not CAIR’s work stateside, moved the UAE to designate the civil rights organisation a terrorist group. More specifically, hearsay tying CAIR with the Muslim Brotherhood, a political nemesis of the UAE, is believed to be the principal catalyst behind the designation.

Although distant geopolitical concerns are behind the UAE designating CAIR as a terrorist organisation, what impact will the classification have on the advocacy group, its civil rights mission, and collaterally, Muslim-Americans at large? The ramifications are not only acute, but also extensive.

A widening ‘gulf’

Centuries old stereotypes, still embedded in the American imagination, conflate Muslims – regardless of their nationality or locale – as one and the same. Therefore, Muslim Americans – the overwhelming majority of whom have no connection to the UAE – are consistently lumped up with the prevailing stereotypes attributed to the people of the oil-rich state: endless wealth, modern slavery, and conspicuous expression of religious conservativism cloaking commercial insatiability.

Yet, the differences between Muslims in monarchical Gulf States and Muslim-America are as ample, and extensive, as the differences between Dubai and Detroit – their respective hubs.

The recent designation of CAIR as a terrorist organisation not only provides further evidence that Muslims are anything but a monolith, but also manifests a widening political and interests’ gulf between Muslims in the UAE and Muslim-Americans.

Since 9/11, the UAE has expressed only passing concern for the civil liberties crackdown experienced by Muslim-Americans. This apathy may be a surprise to everyone in the US aside from Muslim-Americans, who can point to the dehumanisation of Muslim migrant workers within the Gulf region to highlight how religious affinity is seldom a source of apathy.

With heightening state and societal animosity toward Islam in the US, particularly with the recent emergence of ISIL, the UAE’s designation of CAIR as “terrorists” shifts their state stance from apathy toward full-fledged assault. The designation has two considerable effects: first, it endorses specific allegations from right-wing US groups that CAIR colludes with terrorist networks; and second, functions as testimony, from a native state informant, deepening the stereotype that critical Muslim-American civil rights organisations are subversive and anti-American.

Abetting Islamophobia

CAIR is not designated a terrorist group within the US. However, the organisation and its leadership have fended off allegations of direct or indirect links with state-designated terrorist groups for many years. The allegations, although legally tenuous, curried public perception that CAIR itself had terrorist affiliations. This led to increased government surveillance of its Executive Director, Nihad Awad, FBI probing of CAIR chapters and community outreach work, monitoring of Muslim-Americans seeking their counsel, and intensified slander from right-wing political leaders and media pundits.

By classifying CAIR as a terrorist organisation, among the likes of ISIL, al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram, the move will embolden Islamophobic elements to pronounce their hateful rhetoric, and expedite draconian policies against Muslim-Americans.

Hussam Ayloush, Executive Director of CAIR’s Greater Los Angeles chapter, echoes that the designation will “fuel Islamophobia, and undermine the safety and well being of Muslim communities [in the United States] around the world”.

Furthermore, the UAE designation will further complicate CAIR’s ability to carry forward advocacy work protecting Muslim-Americans. Instead of marshaling manpower and resources to handling hate crimes cases, public workshops, and other direly needed initiatives, the designation will compel the organisation and its staff to respond to its placement on the terrorist list, and collaterally, deal with the barrage of political and private hate that is sure to follow.

Believe it or not, that young girl in the background is VonHelton’s wife and not his daughter.

    • You seem odd! Not the typical troll/Islamophobe here to create trouble. So what’s your story?

OK, you got me to laugh!

Caroline Fourest fined €6000 for defaming young Muslim victim of racist attack

Rabia-B.-2

Islamophobe Caroline Fourest claims to be a “Feminist” but it appears her feminism is of the Neo-colonialist variety.

Saphir News has reported that Caroline Fourest – the French “left-wing” Islamophobe who wrote Brother Tariq: The Doublespeak of Tariq Ramadan – has been successfully sued for defamation over comments she made in June last year on the radio station France Culture.

Fourest was responding to the attacks on two Muslim women in Argenteuil, one of whom lost her baby after being kicked in the stomach by her assailants. This followed an earlier incident in which a 17-year-old woman named Rabia Bentot (pictured) was punched and kicked by racists, who also tore off her headscarf while shouting “dirty Arab” and “dirty Muslim”

Instead of Fourest declaring her outrage at the assaults, and her solidarity with the victims, this self-styled feminist expressed scepticism about the women’s accounts.

Fourest claimed that Rabia Bentot was being manipulated by her father and by the Coordination contre le Racisme et l’Islamophobie, assisted by what Fourest described as the “communalist” website Oumma.com, and she suggested that the story of an attack might well have been fabricated. Even if an assault did take place, Fourest asserted, the police had not excluded the possibility that Rabia was the victim of violence by her own family, who could have beaten her up as punishment for living too free a lifestyle.

Needless to say, Fourest offered no evidence whatsoever to back up these disgraceful slurs.

The Collectif contre l’Islamophobie en France comments that for someone who claims to be a feminist Fourest is very selective in her indignation, especially when it comes to Muslim women who wear hijab. The CCIF notes that trying to discredit the testimony of women victims of violence is a well-known phenomenon, and has been vigorously denounced by feminist organisations.

Rabia Bentot sued Fourest for defamation, and last week the Grand Instance Court in Paris ruled in Rabia’s favour. Fourest was fined €6000, half of which was to be paid in damages with the remainder to cover the plaintiff’s legal costs. Fourest has announced that she will be appealing the verdict.

      From Wikipedia:

“Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher once took McCain to task for appearing to excuse date rape when, in a blog post, McCain wrote about promiscuity among women: “Listen up, sweetheart: You buy the ticket, you take the ride.” After indignation broke out among both liberal and conservative defenders of women, Christopher confronted McCain on-camera at the CPAC conference in March 2011, seeking clarity. McCain conceded the point, explained why he had been skeptical of a widely publicized date-rape accusation (against Julian Assange) and repeated after Christopher: “No means no; stop means stop.” Writing about this encounter, Christopher remarked that “McCain still holds many opinions that I find objectionable, but I also think that [the video] places the ‘character’ that is RS McCain into a context that simply reading him does not.”

Which I’m surge you’ll dismiss, since McCain is your new super anti-Feminist hero or whatever.

I would think that anyone with a shred of decency would find his comment about date rape deplorable, not only feminists.

      Your mileage may vary.

Not being listened to or believed is exactly why women are reluctant to report it when they get attacked. I think Islamophobia is a feminist issue considering that most victims of anti-Muslim violence are women. I don’t care for the tone of the article I just posted in the link, because the implication is that the women are to blame for being attacked because of their attire.

Oh I forgot, according to Ms. Fourest being the feminist hero that she is only the opinions and experiences of Western women are valid.

Thanks Garibaldi, I agree fully with everything you say, that’s the reason why I stayed away from this discussion (I feel bad as it was a comment of mine that initiated it), there are many forms of feminism and disagreements over the term even between militants.

Caroline Fourest has made herself famous by attacking Tarik Ramadan and writing a book full of lies about him, she then claimed that he refused or was afraid to debate with her while he said the opposite. I once asked a a swiss journalist after a debate where he was invited on TV, she confirmed that it was Fourest who turned down the invite. Finally she had to accept an invitation on a french program and he just wiped the floor with her. I need to search for it but it’s around 30 minutes long, so translation would be difficult.

I also despise the Femen who are also growingly losing credibility (especially after they made a stupid demonstration in the Notre Dame cathedral against the new pope, another against the Paris mosque to protest against Salafism, and after Amina Sboui claimed that she was attacked by salafists at 6am in an area usually quite crowded, only to admit she lied)…

Now despising these women doesn’t mean I dismiss feminism. I do like this article from Mona Chollet on the femen about their “fast-food feminism” http://mondediplo.com/blogs/the-fast-food-feminism-of-the-topless-femen

Chollet is a feminist and defends feminism, when there are oppressions against women, feminism or womanism or other forms of activism are important. Chollet wrote a very good book (not sure it was translated) about the new forms of alienation against women in the west such as the cult of fashion, the narcissic search for the “perfect slim body” which leads many teenagers to anorexy and depression, and many other examples.

So yes, one can and should criticize some forms of feminism but dismissing feminism as a whole goes way too far as I’m concerned. There are many many forms of feminism, some are a new form of western imperialism, as I related on the comment of Tunisian feminists telling the Femen to leave as they created un-necessary tension to their legitimate fights for protecting women’s social, legal rights or to fight sexual abuse or domestic violence. I also deeply respect many figures such as the ones on the link I posted or people such as Arundhati Roy, or Angela Davies, whether they describe themselves as feminist or not is a side point. Saying that these people are puppets of capitalism is unfair to them.

Women’s issues has evolved (and are different depending on the places) and require new forms of struggle, and it’s up for women to find these solutions and talk about them. We have the right to criticize some forms of militancy when they go too far or end up being forms of bigotry, but I will never attack feminism as a whole for two reasons: – Being pro or anti when there is “ism” involved often ends up with black and white simplistic representations. As I told a friend recently, I don’t fancy communism but anti-communism is often silly and has been a tool for US imperialism or McCarthy’s witch hunts, I am pretty leftie and dislike extreme capitalism but I do live in market world and live with it, and we have already been over debates about the term islamism. Saying I’m pro or anti for all these terms is simplistic, similarly I can’t saying pro or anti for feminism, some of its forms should be criticized by many others deserve support and respect. – There are many organizations who target feminism are either religious fundamentalists (and I mean all religions here), or fascist, and tend to use some forms of excessive militantism to pursue their agenda of oppressing women. Nuance is important here, as I will never accept to have my voice or criticism by such people. In some sense everyone in this forum has been criticizing ISIS or other Muslim extremism, it’s legitimate but noone in this forums would be happy to see its arguments used by Islamophobes, one way of trying to avoid that is by expressing critcism with nuance.

Sorry for the length of the response.
