Important lesson at ex-Jewish school, now Muslim

Muslim_Jewish_Skokie

Happy Roshashanah, tizku l’shanim rabot and Shana Tovah.

By Mary Schmich, Chicago Tribune

On Monday afternoon, Lori Lippitz and her little band of well-wishers pulled into the parking lot of the school they once thought of as theirs.

They came bearing gift baskets — fruit, flowers, nuts, pencils, rulers — and a card that said, “We wish for you and your children many years of love, learning and laughter in the home that is now yours.”

They also came with some trepidation.

How would it feel to walk back into their old Jewish school, which this August had reopened as a Muslim school?

What had happened to their prayer room?

Would the mosaic that told the biblical story of Genesis still be on the wall?

For 34 years, beginning in 1978, the old brick building on Gross Point Road in Skokie had housed Solomon Schechter Day School, which was as much a spiritual haven as a school.

“When it closed,” said Lippitz, whose daughter was a student there, “we felt that something important had ended in our lives.”

But demographics shape destinies, and as some of Skokie’s Jewish residents moved to other suburbs, the school’s enrollment declined. By 2012 what remained of the Skokie school had been consolidated into the Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook.

Meanwhile, 21/2 miles away, in Morton Grove, the MCC Full Time School kept growing.

Opened in 1990 with 25 students and a curriculum that emphasizes Islamic studies, MCC had expanded to serve several hundred students. It had a long waiting list.

When the old Schechter school, owned by a Skokie school district, went up for sale at auction, MCC bought it. Now it’s MCC Academy for preschoolers to fifth-graders.

Shortly after news of the purchase got around, Lippitz, a singer who founded the popular Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, ran across an online comment from a Skokie resident responding to the change, a comment that struck her as “unwelcoming and a little xenophobic.”

“The person who put it there probably did not mean to do anything but express sadness at the loss of a Jewish institution,” she said.

Still, she worried.

Who knew, especially given the latest violence in the Middle East, what kind of hostility the school’s new inhabitants might encounter?

“Times of social anxiety and distress are precisely the times when one has to make a point to be seen as welcoming,” she said.

Sure Solid, no problem take your time, there’s no rush at all. I understand how hard it is with a busy schedule to post anything, let alone lengthy ones. I am myself sorry for this belated response.

but I am afraid that you are incorrect.

I don’t think I am incorrect at reminding the already scholarly recognized reality that Zionism is a racist, settler-colonialism ideology. Not only prolonging and making permanent the suffering of the inhabitants of the land of Palestine by extending the already inhumane, racist British colonialism that most lands fortunately managed to get rid-off. But even inflecting upon them the worst form of colonialism – settler-colonialism. That ti’ll this day is ravaging every aspect of Palestinian life.

But the fact is that also Zionism transformed Palestine and its key cities from being a simple “holy land” to all three ‘Abrahamic’ religions, where world Jewry as well as world Christians and world Muslims could for centuries, and for the most part peacefully, fulfilled their religious-right pilgrimages sanctioned by their respective religions, all the while respecting the indigenous people of the land. To shifting away from those innocent purposes, and advancing the supremacist notion that not only one religious group is superior and is more entitle to freely visit its respective, religious holy sites, while restricting the others. But worst of all, advancing even that said religious group is more superior and more entitle to the land then the inhabitants of the land themselves, by undertaking the racist, settler-colonialist project that I mentioned above that cleaned and dispossessed the indigenous people in order to settle foreign entities in their place.

I suggest you check my Disqus history which is open for anyone to see. I will get back to you and explain in more detail later.

Solid, I don’t need to visit your comment history at all. I am familiar with your posts on LW, and I am confident (whether here, or elsewhere) that you sincerely take at heart and support the Palestinian struggle against the settler-colonialist occupation. Therefore if we agree on that point, as far as I’m concern, you don’t need to explain yourself on that front and my objection was never about doubting that.

My skepticism is mainly due to the fact that sadly and unfortunately there is trend developing among some western Muslims in what could only be described as a crisis within western Muslim politics. One such crisis took place few months back, and just couple of weeks before the colonialist regime launched its latest Gaza mass-massacre, when some “public figure” Muslim individuals and an organization called the Muslim Leadership Initiative ( perhaps both claiming to represent the Muslim community at large) revealed that last year they undertook a so-called “interfaith” trip funded by a Jerusalem-based, anti-BDS Zionist institution called Shalom Hartman Institute , thus thus erroneously conflating interfaith dialogue with cozying-up with settler-colonialist groups (i.e, Zionists) at the expense of Palestinian human rights and to the angering of Pro-Palestinian activists. I don’t have time to search and bring the condemning tweets of prominent Pro-Palestinian activists such Abunimah, Blumenthal & Rania Khalek etc. But if we go by the overall Palestinian backlash that followed on social media, such move by those western Muslims can only be an addition to the already many Palestinian nightmares. Many Palestinians (but also Pro-Palestinian activities) are accusing some Muslims that by breaking-bread with their dispossessors & oppressors at the while claiming to support the Palestinian liberation movement, they are normalizing the oppression of Palestinians and its horrors by hijacking their legitimate struggle against settler-colonialism and transforming it into an unrelated, out of touch religious issue between Jews and Muslims. I happen to strongly agree with that. Here are two excellent pieces tackling the controversy. I especially like the Sana Seed piece, as it touch many important points.

UKIP’s former deputy leader calls for passages from Qur’an to be banned

Christopher-Monckton

via. IslamophobiaWatch

Britain’s Lord Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, a politician and globe-trotting climate-change denier, has called upon the United States to outlaw certain parts of the Islamic holy book the Koran and to make reading them aloud illegal.

Right Wing Watch reported on Monckton’s latest column for conspiracy website and “Birther” hub World Net Daily, in which the former advisor to England’s former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher urged the U.S. Congress to outlaw passages of the Koran as incitement to murder.

“Nearly all acts of terrorism perpetrated throughout the world in the past quarter of a century were carried out by Muslims in the name of Allah,” Monckton falsely claimed, omitting acts of terror by U.S. right-wing militia and the ongoing campaign of brutal violence being waged by Mexican drug cartels.

“Why?” Monckton asked. “One does not need to look any further than their “holy” book, the [Koran].”

“Craven public authorities have failed to act against the circulation of the [Koran] in its present form because they fear a violent backlash,” Monckton claimed. But, he said, anti-Islamists should not shrink from banning the portions of the Koran that call for violence against nonbelievers. The rights of free speech, he said, are outweighed by the need to stop incitement.

“A bill should be brought before Congress identifying all passages in the [Koran] which, whether in isolation or taken together, constitute incitement to murder,” Monckton proposed. He went on, “The bill should specify that anyone who reads any of these passages out loud is to be charged with that crime and, if convicted, subjected to the usual penalty for it – a long prison term.”

Censoring these passages of the Koran, he theorized, will neutralize the book’s radicalizing effects on young Muslims. “The prominent part played by the [Koran] in the radicalization of young Muslims so that they become willing to murder their own fellow-citizens demands that we act at once,” he said, “before its dangerous influence incites the loss of any more innocent lives. The [Koran] as it now stands is illegal.”

Monckton cited several passages of the Koran that he says call for the murder of nonbelievers, but failed to include the portions of the Christian Bible that call for the execution of homosexual men (Leviticus 20:13), the stoning death of adulterous women (Luke 16:18) and the killing of “sorceresses” (Exodus 22:17), blasphemers (Leviticus 24:10), and whole cities if they follow other religions (Deuteronomy 13:13-19).

Vicious Hate Preacher, Deacon Robert Spencer Attacks Cardinal Theodore McCarrick

RNS-MCCARRICK-PROFILE

via. Spencerwatch

Deacon Robert Spencer is clearly outside of mainstream Catholicism, it’s a shame he is ordained at all. Recently, he unleashed his medieval hate on respected Catholic leader and theologian, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

What was Cardinal McCarrick’s offense according to Spencer? Simply speaking at an Anti-ISIS press conference organized by the Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPAC) where he supported Muslim Americans against hate and reiterated his belief that Islam and it’s social message cherishes peace and compassion.

For this offense, the right-wing rag “The Daily Caller” headlined their article with the absurd title, “Catholic Cardinal McCarrick Embraces Islam.” Hyperbole much?

During his speech Cardinal McCarrick used the phrase “In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate.” He also said “Peace Be Upon Him,” after quoting Prophet Muhammad.

Spencer responded by scornfully asking,

“Has Cardinal McCarrick converted to Islam?”

“‘Peace be upon him’ is a phrase Muslims utter after they say the name of [their reputed] prophet… [so] probably he is unaware of the unintended Islamic confession of faith he has just made,”said Spencer.

This is the sort of idiocy that we are facing from the Islamophobia Movement’s experts! Merely reciting a well known Islamic phrase positively makes a Catholic Cardinal a Muslim! I know Cardinal McCarrick is unphased by such idiotic mendacity but the fact that Spencer would resort to these gutter antics to feed his unhinged Far-Right, White Supremacist base is doubly egregious when one considers that the 84 year old Cardinal was recently rushed to the hospital with a heart problem.

Spencer sees the “threat” of Muslims and Islam everywhere, from Barack Obama to Cardinal McCarrick, the tent of Muslims-According-to-Spencer keeps on growing.

Clearly Spencer is anti-Catholic. Maybe a stealth Protestant?

Zionist Fanatic Who Beheaded Maid Wanted to Join Israeli Fight Against Hamas

The killer had been living on Via Birmania in Rome’s Eur neighbourhood since June.

A man who was obsessed with fighting for Israel beheaded his maid. Oksana Martseniuk was brutally killed by Federico Leonelli who appears to have been radicalized over the internet by watching videos.

I wonder if the likes of Bill Maher, who devoted a segment of Real Time to interview Brigitte Gabriel after a Muslim beheaded his wife, will be covering this on his next show? Is this going to be blamed on Radical Judaism? On Zionism? The way the beheadings of journalists by ISIS have been blamed on Islam or “Islamism?” (h/t: Razainc.)

What if they were Muslim?

via. The Local

Federico Leonelli, 35, was shot outside a gated house in Rome on Sunday morning, after allegedly beheading 38-year-old Oksana Martseniuk.

Homeowner Giovanni Ciallella has now said that his guest Leonelli was obsessed with “the military world” and wanted to fight in Gaza alongside the Israeli army.

“He told me that he had met a rabbi in Rome and was ready to join the Israeli army against Hamas and terrorists armed with missiles,” Ciallella told La Repubblica.

Leonelli had been an atheist when the pair worked together in the IT sector a decade ago, although had recently discovered his Jewish heritage and immersed himself in religious texts.

“He started to study the Torah, the Talmud and once he stopped to speak about the Old Testament with me.

“Then he searched on the internet and saw dozens and dozens of videos. At night he watched films by rabbis at full volume which informed him of what was happening in the Gaza strip,” Ciallella said.

Leonelli had twice been denied a visa to travel to Israel and wanted to take the issue up with the consulate in Rome, to “sign up at any cost”, his host added.

He had suffered a “huge breakdown” following the death of his girlfriend, Ciallella said, and moved in with his mother. She, however, had a stroke and Leonelli’s sister had taken over the house, allegedly forcing him to move to his father’s home and later a student house.

Internet Disinformation #6: The labeling of the organization as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial in Dallas, TX implies that CAIR was somehow involved with criminal activity and is facing indictment. https://www.cair.com/about-us/dispelling-rumors-about-cair.html This issue was settled by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Department of Justice in CAIR’s favor.

On October 20, 2010, Judges Garza, Benavides, and Crone of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals found that the U.S. Department of Justice violated the Fifth Amendment rights of the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), and by implication the rights of more than 300 similarly-named Muslim organizations and individuals, such as CAIR, when it included them on the publicly-filed un-indicted co-conspirator list in 2007.

The court also ruled that inclusion on the list was the result of “simply an untested allegation of the Government made in anticipation of a possible evidentiary dispute that never came to pass.” The listing is simply part of tactical pre-trial maneuvering and not an indicator of guilt.

In August 2007 Newsweek reported, “According to one senior law-enforcement official (who asked not to be named talking about an ongoing case), the listing of ISNA, CAIR and other groups as ‘unindicted co-conspirators’ was largely a tactical move by the government.” (Newsweek, 8/08/2007) A June 2008 ACLU press release also reports, “The prosecutor also acknowledged that the public labeling was simply a ‘legal tactic’ intended to allow the government to introduce hearsay evidence against HLF later at trial.”

The three-judge court of appeals panel was the final arbiter and takes precedence over an earlier ruling by district Judge Jorge Solis.

In 2011, Attorney General Eric Holder indicated that Department of Justice officials determined after “looking at the facts and the law, a prosecution would not be appropriate.” This conclusion was reached after two reviews conducted under both the Bush and Obama administrations.

After Holder, the chief law enforcement officer in America, stated this fact, internet rumor held that a prosecution had been suppressed due to political interference.

This allegation has also been put to rest.

James Jacks, the U.S. Attorney who led the prosecution of the Holy Land Foundation issued a statement that was partially reproduced in the Dallas Morning News: “‘The decision to indict or not indict a case is based upon an analysis of the evidence and the law,’ [Jacks] wrote. ‘That’s what happened in this case.’

Islamophobic France: Muslim Education Minister Targeted

Najat_Vallaud_Belkacem_Islamophobia

This is the first time that I’ve heard of an “Ayatollah” supporting ‘gay marriage.’

Star Tribune

PARIS — France’s new Muslim education minister called for more respect Wednesday after becoming the target of slurs, while a top Socialist politician said a magazine should be convicted of inciting racial hatred for referring to her religion and ethnic background as a “provocation.”

Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, a 36-year-old rising star in the Socialist Party, said she has been the target of racially-motivated verbal attacks over the last week, including being branded “Ayatollah” by a conservative weekly.

“I call for respect,” she told The Associated Press in an email. “And I repeat in particular that racism is not an opinion, but a crime.”

The Morocco-born Vallaud-Belkacem, who doesn’t publicly speak about her religion, is seen as an easy target to attack the unpopular Socialist government led by President Francois Hollande.

She is a young, Muslim woman in a political landscape made up mostly of white, Catholic men. She’s an outspoken defender of gender and racial equality, and supported a divisive law legalizing gay marriage last year. She also intervened in a national debate on the negative impact of halal meat, saying society should stop pointing the finger at Muslims.

One conservative politician referred to Vallaud-Belkacem as a “smiling Vietnamese Communist,” and a fake identity card has appeared on social media falsely claiming she changed her name from Claudine Dupont to a more ethnic-sounding one to get promoted.

A top Socialist Party official threatened legal action against “Minute” magazine, which in its latest edition calls her religious and ethnic background a “provocation.” The official, Jean-Christophe Cambadelis, said the magazine should be convicted of inciting racial hatred.

“Minute,” which has sympathies with France’s ever-growing far-right National Front party, faced accusations of racism last year when it put black Justice Minister Christiane Taubira on the cover with the wording: “Taubira Finds Her Banana.”

Taubira tweeted in support of Vallaud-Belkacem: “They must have nothing in their heads, be empty in their heart, and have hardened souls. Najat, you’re flying high with our ambitions for schools. Thanks.”

Valeurs Actuelles’ cover, to be published Thursday, features the headline “Ayatollah” over a sinister-looking photo of the minister’s face.

The publication’s general director said the reference to Islam was purely coincidental despite an outcry that it was racist— and he said the criticism is purely about politics.

“We speak of ‘Ayatollah’ with no reference to the Muslim religion whatsoever … We’re concerned that her nomination poses a problem as she’s pursuing an ideology in schools that worries us,” Yves de Kerdrel told the AP without elaborating.

Government spokesman Stephane Le Foll said, “You can be in disagreement. But we cannot accept these kind of attacks.”

France has Western Europe’s largest Muslim population, estimated at 5 million.

French rights group, SOS Racism, meanwhile, issued a petition in her defense, which has been signed by more than 4,000 people.

Some commentators insist the criticism against her has nothing to do with religion or her sex.

“She just has no competence in education.” Versailles deputy mayor Francois-Xavier Bellamy said.

Mordechai Kedar Joined Geller and Spencer At Pro-Israel, Anti-Muslim Rally

Mordechai-Kedar-at-AFDI-rally-August-2014

If you had any doubts of the type of cretins we are dealing with look who flew-in just for the anti-Muslim, pro-Israel massacre on Gaza rally.

via. IslamophobiaWatch

Yesterday Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer’s American Freedom Defense Initiative held a rally in Union Square, New York, under the slogan “We the living support Israel”.

In an apparent attempt to boost turnout – even Geller must be aware that the vast majority of New York’s Jewish community, including committed supporters of the state of Israel, will have nothing to do with her – the event was subtitled “And minorities persecuted under Islamic rule”.

According to Geller, an individual who enjoys at best a tenuous relationship with reality, the event attracted “thousands” of AFDI supporters, though it’s odd that her website contains no pictures of this vast throng. From photographic evidence, it looks as though the attendance was at most a couple of hundred. A report at the Huffington Post puts it at “around 150″.

The speakers included Israeli academic Mordechai Kedar (pictured), who flew to the US specially to address the rally. According to Geller’s report, he devoted his speech to showing “how the jihadists are proceeding according to quranic imperatives”.

You’ll remember Kaidar. He’s the man who recently hit the headlines after he argued that the only thing that would deter attacks on Israel would be if the sisters or mothers of the perpetrators were raped.

Pamela Geller, ‘Anti-Muslim Hate Group’ Leader Banned From UK, Holds Pro-Israel Rally In NY

Very well done post by Paul Vale at the Huffington Post. Kind of hilarious. Geller even showed up to whine in the comments section.:

(Huffington Post)

NEW YORK — On Sunday the American Freedom Defence Initiative (AFDI), an organisation the Southern Poverty Law Centre has listed as an anti-Muslim hate group, held a demonstration in New York’s Union Square in support of Israel and “minorities persecuted under Islamic rule”.

The group’s leader is Pamela Geller, an activist who in 2013 was banned from entering the UK by Home Secretary Theresa May. The government restricted Geller, along with author and blogger Robert Spencer, from entering the country as it was concluded their presence in the would not be “conducive to the public good”. The pair had planned to attend a rally in Woolwich following the death of Drummer Lee Rigby.

Update: Jenks school pulls film deemed Islamophobic

Jenks schools pulls film deemed Islamophobic

Tulsa World

Jenks Public Schools will no longer show a documentary film that suggests Islamic terrorists might have been behind the Oklahoma City bombing, after a complaint from a Muslim parent.

The History Channel film, “Conspiracy: Oklahoma City Bombing,” examines a variety of conspiracy theories about the 1995 Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing, which killed 168 people.

“We’re very happy about the decision,” said Adam Soltani, executive director of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which worked with the parent in filing the complaint.

“This was never about making things difficult for the school,” he said, “but about bringing to light the fact that we live in a more diverse society.”

Soltani and several Muslim parents of Jenks students met in May with administrators to express their concerns that the film could lead to confusion and misinformation, and also hostility toward students of Middle Eastern and Muslim background.

They were instructed to file a request to have the film reviewed by the school’s Materials Review Committee, which one of the parents did in June.

That committee rejected the request to remove the film, saying it was being used to teach students critical analysis.

CAIR-Oklahoma then worked with the parent to issue an appeal letter, Soltani said, and in a letter dated Aug. 5, the school said that a committee of district-level administrators had further reviewed the film, and decided to remove it from the collection in the Freshman Academy Media Center.

Jenks Public Schools did not immediately respond to requests for an interview.

It’s difficult to judge from this brief post whether the show was a critique of conspiracy theories (fine) or was promulgating conspiracy theories. By analogy, a programme examining antisemitic conspiracy theories as part of an analysis of speculation about 9/11 could be perfectly fine.

A Human Rights Watch report, documenting abuses in US terrorism investigations, has illuminated some incredibly dubious practices carried out by law enforcement.

The report looks at investigations that began shortly after 9/11 and have carried on until the present day.

One disturbing practice, which seems to pop up over and over in the report, is the targeting of those with mental disabilities to ‘create’ crimes. This occurs during ‘sting’ operations, when agents pose as members of the Muslim American community, infiltrating mosques.

In an average sting operation, an undercover agent finds a suspect who they think is, say, selling illegal arms. They approach them and gather information, waiting for a crime to unfold.

However, when it comes to counter-terrorism operations, law enforcement officers have been accused of breaching this time-honored system, using a subject’s mental disability to actually foster terrorism. You read that right, by the way — counter-terrorism efforts are being used to foster terrorism.

In one instance a man named Rezwan Ferdaus was targeted by an FBI agent who infiltrated his local mosque. Although the FBI concluded he had mental disabilities, the FBI agent worked to gain the trust of Ferdaus. As they grew closer, the FBI agent convinced him to participate in a plot to blow up the Pentagon and US Capitol.

Ferdaus was supplied with fake weapons but as the plan unfolded, he grew visibly distressed. As Ferdaus deteriorated, he lost control of his bladder in such a severe way he was forced to wear diapers during the day. He also began to suffer from seizures and extreme weight loss. Eventually his health suffered so terribly, his father had to quit his job to care for him.

Ferdaus was later convicted of supplying material support to terrorism and is now serving a 17 year sentence in prison.

Another case of exploiting the mentally disabled involved Shawahar Matin Siraj. Described by the FBI as being ‘extremely impressionable due to severe intellectual limitations,’ he liked to spend his time playing video games and Pokémon in his mother’s house.

An undercover FBI agent who claimed to have a terminal illness (which mirrored the illness of Siraj’s late father) cozied up to him, and wove an emotional web around the vulnerable man. After the agent broached the idea of a terrorist attack to him, which involved blowing up a local subway station, Siraj is on record as saying he ‘had to ask his mother first.’ Even by the FBI’s own reports, Siraj never actually agreed to participate.

Still, he was convicted on four counts of conspiring to attack a subway station. On his first day in prison, Siraj apparently asked the guard for access to play Pokémon.

The report also details cases of harsh detainment that fly in the face of due process.

Uzair Paracha, who was arrested in the United States, spent two years in solitary confinement before his trial, only allowed to speak to guards. What this means is, in our system of ‘innocent until proven guilty,’ he was given some of the harshest legal punishment available before he was even convicted of a crime.

Although many have been quick to blame the Muslim American community for allowing extremism to foster, the reality is, they have been responsible for stopping 40% of all Islamic terrorist plots, conceived on US soil, in the last 10 years. A study by MPAC also showed Muslims made up a minority of all terrorist plots hatched in the United States, most being attributed to right wing extremism.

However, despite these pesky facts, it seems the Muslim American community can’t catch a break. Human Rights Watch noted that appropriate sentencing, the right to a fair trial, freedom from coercion and fairly conducted investigations have all been thrown by the wayside in the past 13 years.

    • It’s not new that law enforcement goes out and gets a mentally handicapped person to “confess” to a violent crime. In high profile, violent crimes, like the killing of a tourist in Florida, the police are under pressure to get some, anyone, and hold them up to the public as “the killer.”

The mentally handicapped persons believes that by confessing he is “helping the police,” and he wants to “help the police.”

You seem to be comparing the practices of the past and the practices of the present, trying to present a correlation between the two and then justify the illegal and immoral actions carried out by the law enforcement. How ridiculous.

And no, this will not be the way for a “long, long” time. The outcry is growing and several cases are already in the courts.

Sort of like the UDBA did in Yugoslavia. And the NKVD/KGB in old Soviet Russia. They too had quotas to meet and did not care about how they met them. They could arrest you on the street or in the dead of night just like that (they had this joke in Stalin’s Russia: A man is lying in his bed, when suddenly there is a knock on the door. It’s 3 a.m. Full of apprehension he opens the door but it’s not the NKVD, it’s the neighbor. “What’s the matter?” – “The house is on fire!” – “Oh, thank God!”) But they too preferred to provoke discontent people into saying or doing something that could be construed as “counterrevolutionary” and then do you in. 25 years in the gulag or a bullet to the back of your neck. The purpose was and is the same: to instill fear in the populace and keep them in line. I see a similar thing happening now. For now they have singled out one group of people. They could do in others next. It’s a characteristic of totalitarianism. As Pastor Martin Niemöller put it: “When they came for the Social Democrats I kept silent, for I wasn’t a Social Democrat […] when they came for me there was no one around to speak out for me.” It’s so sad to see that part of the American leadership have become quite like Stalin and his henchmen: mentally sick, driven by paranoia, fear, cynicism and cold-hearted inhumanity.

These Moslem cases are directly opposite the ones we always hear about criminals who pretend to be mentally ill inorder to reduce their sentences. The dark forces really hate Moslems.

As long as they get some of the almighty dollar at they won’t care who they throw in jail

    • Heinz Catsup

Reading this made me sad. How can anyone think doing this is a good idea?

    • Awesome

It is indeed disgusting and absolutely abhorrent. However in a country where murderers can be acquitted only because of identity politics, it unfortunately isn’t that unusual.

    • Yausari

      innocent sick people.

    • mindy1

They are seriously putting sick people in jail?? How is that even legal?

    • Awesome

The government’s employees probably have a quota to meet in terms of “counter-terrorism operations”. Since their quota is based on a faulty premise, then, in order to keep the money coming in, they utilize entrapment techniques against vulnerable Muslims to maintain the numbers. Since Muslims are routinely denied their civil rights in kangaroo courts, these government employees are able to successfully get away with it. Thankfully, more people are reporting about it so hopefully it gets harder for them to get away with it in the future.

The guy wasn’t in control of his bladder, he was having seizures, he had severe weight loss… and then they imprison him for 17 years? Disgusting, absolutely abhorrent.

Elswick racist jailed after family driven out of their new home as they try to move in

Vile racist thugs drove an Asian family out of their new home as they tried to move in. The Ali family pulled up outside their new house in Elswick, Newcastle, only to be greeted by a seething gang of young yobs.

Boxer Daniel McStay [pictured] and five or six youths started punching and kicking their car, telling them to get off “their estate” and threatening to kill them.

Terrified Mr Ali, who had his wife and three daughters in the car, frantically began reversing to try to get away as the gang kicked his car. One of them threw a pint glass of beer at the back of his car, which smashed showering the car with alcohol and glass.

Fifteen minutes later McStay and two youths subjected another man to a racist attack as he waited in his car for his friend outside Elswick mosque.

As McStay, 22, was jailed for eight months, Mr Ali told how the incident had left him and his family scared to move in. He said: “We had been looking forward to moving in to the new house but now we do not wish to do so. My daughters and wife are extremely upset, we have not been involved in an incident like this before. My family have been racially targeted for no reason. The damage to my car can be repaired, however mentally we have all suffered.”

Newcastle Crown Court heard the family were taking furniture to the house on Brittania Place, Elswick, around 3pm on March 23, ahead of moving in. Just after Mr Ali, his wife and daughters, aged, 10, 18 and 19, pulled up, McStay and the others approached from behind, swigging alcohol.

Neil Pallister, prosecuting, said one of them shouted: “You better not be moving here or we will kill you, this is our estate.” There followed a tirade of vile racist abuse and a 17-year-old started punching the driver’s side window shouting “Get out of here or I will kill you.”

Mr Pallister said: “All of the males were involved in the racial abuse and McStay joined in. Clearly Mr Ali and his family were in great fear and he began reversing his car down the street and turned round to drive away. As he reversed his car the group began kicking his car and ran after him and his family. One of them threw a pint glass which hit the rear window of the car, smashing glass and showering the car with alcohol as they drove away.”

After getting clear of the attack and reporting it to police, the family saw their car had been dented, causing hundreds of pounds of damage. Mr Pallister said: “They were too scared and frightened to move into the address.”

Just fifteen minutes later McStay and two youths targeted an 18-year-old as he waited in his car outside Elswick mosque. He was racially abused and told to leave the area and also had his car kicked.

Mr Pallister said: “The victim was very fearful for his safety and he locked his car door but the males continued to shout racial abuse at him. Fearing for his safety he felt obliged to reverse away out of the location. As he slowly drove away the gang followed him, waving their hands to shoo him away and one of them kicked his vehicle.”

Police caught up with them nearby and eventually Mcstay was also charged over the earlier attack after his trainer print was found on Mr Ali’s car.

McStay, of Kenilworth Road, Elswick, pleaded guilty to two charges of racially aggravated harassment, racially aggravated criminal damage and possessing cannabis. He has previous convictions for offences including racially aggravated threatening words or behaviour, arson and affray.

Andrew Walker, defending, said: “These incidents were utterly reprehensible, deeply unpleasant and grossly offensive to those to whom it was aimed. It was pathetic in terms of the ignorance of those involved, who should all be utterly ashamed of themselves.” Mr Walker added that McStay, who he said was not the prime mover, takes part in unlicenced boxing bouts.

Two 17-year-olds involved in the incidents were sent to the youth court to be dealt with.

Evening Chronicle, 10 August 2014

It comes as no surprise to find that McStay is a supporter of the English Defence League. He followed the EDL and “Tommy Robinson” on Twitter (the EDL Twitter feed was run by Hel Gower, who has since followed Robinson out of the EDL, hence the change of name to EnglishDefectLeague). And he attended the May 2013 EDL demonstration in Newcastle, photos of which were posted on his Facebook page (see here and here).
