New York: Man shouting ‘Go back to your (expletive) country’ stabs Muslim food cart vendor

The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) today called on local law enforcement authorities to thoroughly investigate the Tuesday stabbing of a Muslim food cart vendor by a man reportedly shouting “Go back to your (expletive) country.”

The victim, an Egyptian native who manages a halal (Islamically-permissible) food cart on 28th street near Bellevue Hospital, was stabbed repeatedly in broad daylight on Tuesday afternoon. He told CAIR-NY that he saw a customer arguing with another food cart vendor over a sandwich. When he approached the men engaged in the argument in an effort to calm the situation, the customer faced him and allegedly said, “You don’t belong to this country. Go back to your (expletive) country (expletive),” and stabbed him a total of 15 times.

“We urge law enforcement authorities to investigate this incident thoroughly and to bring the alleged perpetrator to justice,” said CAIR-NY Director of Operations Sadyia Khalique. She added that religious and ethnic bias should be investigated as a factor leading to the attack.

Revealed: The secretive Q Society’s battle against Islam

Revealed: The secretive Q Society’s battle against Islam

Their only address is a PO Box in suburban Melbourne. They won’t say exactly where their money comes from and say they never will.

And they are very opposed to Islam in Australia.

The secretive organisation known as the Q Society has this week been linked to a noisy campaign to stop the construction of a mosque in Bendigo, Victoria.

Over the past few weeks, some of the town’s businesses and residents have awoken to find black balloons tied up outside their premises as a way of protesting the proposed place of worship.

The $3 million development was approved last week at a raucous council meeting. There were reports indicating the Q Society was a “key force” behind the Bendigo campaign (the organisation says it only held a public meeting and was “not a protest organisation”).

So who exactly are they and what are they doing?

The Q Society — named because the group was founded at a 2010 meeting in the upper class Melbourne suburb of Kew — claims to have members across the country.

Its mission is about “educating” people about Islam, spokesman Andrew Horwood said, rather than leading the protests.

They describe themselves as “Islam-critical”, are avowed opponents of sharia law and have published a book Getting Through: How To Talk To Non Muslims About The Disturbing Nature of Islam and produced YouTube videos including “How to stop a mosque”.

It has few public faces except for its president, Debbie Robinson, and Mr Horwood. “We’re purely educational,” he told news.com.au.

Keysar Trad, from the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia, said the group spreads “disturbing, baseless Islamophobia”.

“I think most Australians would normally treat them as a joke but because there’s not enough information out there, not enough good information … about Islam, some people unfortunately subscribe to their message.”

The group is affiliated with an global organisation known as Stop The Islamisation of Nations (SION) — which, as the name suggests, is vehemently anti-Islamic.

The society has been in the headlines several times over the past few years due to its involvement in bringing right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders to speak in Australia.

Mr Wilders has faced accusations of racial vilification after branding Islam as a violent religion and likening the Koran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

More than 20 venues he was to speak at last year withdrew their support after a firestorm over his visit.

According to Mr Horwood, that’s a sign that Australia has been stifled by political correctness.

“You have to question in 2013 in Australia are people already scared to talk about Islam?” he said. “Are they fearful about what would happen if they discuss Islam?

“You have the riots in Sydney only 18 months ago. Actions like that make people fear (discussing) it.”

Mr Horwood said members’ security was one reason why the organisation employed secretive measures, such as refusing to name its supporters and nondisclosure agreements for members who attend meetings.

“It’s important in our industry that we understand who is actually there,” Mr Horwood said.

“I’m sure you’re aware of what’s happening overseas with people under 24-hour armed guard. “We like to have an understanding of who’s attending our meetings.”

But Mr Trad said the Q Society was just paranoid.

“The secrecy behind their message is an indication of paranoia. People should realise this is not a message they should take very seriously. It’s a message they should throw in the bin.”

Le Pen and Wilders fail to form anti-EU bloc

Le Pen and Wilders fail to form anti-EU bloc

France’s far-right National Front (FN) has failed to form an alliance with the Dutch Freedom Party (PVV) of Geert Wilders, reducing both parties’ influence in the European Parliament.

Pan-European party blocs get more funding, staff and speaking time in the parliament. The deadline for forming a bloc expired on Monday night.

The new 751-seat assembly, elected in May, holds its first session next week.

The UK Independence Party (UKIP) has formed a bloc with other Eurosceptics. UKIP’s new allies are the Italian Five Star Movement of comedian-turned-politician Beppe Grillo, Lithuania’s Order and Justice Party, the nationalist Sweden Democrats and a few anti-EU MEPs from Latvia, the Czech Republic and France. Jointly they are called the New EFD (Europe of Freedom and Democracy).

Under parliament rules, a faction has to consist of at least 25 MEPs from a minimum of seven EU countries. The EU has a total of 28 member states. The FN and PVV failed to satisfy the seven-country rule.

Before the election Mr Wilders and FN leader Marine Le Pen had spoken of their common ambition to return powers from the EU to the nation states.

Ms Le Pen’s triumph, leading the FN to first place in the French election, gave her party 23 seats. It was one of the biggest surprises on an election night that saw big gains for anti-EU parties across Europe. In the last parliament the FN had just three seats.

Mr Wilders was disappointed with the PVV’s result, however. The party won just three seats and fell to fourth place in the Netherlands – well behind liberal and centre-left, pro-EU parties.

Both the FN and PVV want tougher immigration controls, reject the euro and want their countries to leave the EU. Both parties also campaign strongly against the spread of Islam in Europe.

Mr Wilders said forming a faction with Poland’s Congress of the New Right would be “a bridge too far”. The Polish party has been accused of anti-Semitism and misogyny.

But Mr Wilders said he still hoped for co-operation between his PVV and like-minded parties in the parliament over the next five years, including the FN, Belgium’s Vlaams Belang, the Austrian Freedom Party (FPOe) and Italy’s Northern League.

“The party won just three seats and fell to fourth place in the Netherlands”

Actually, he won four seats and the biggest party in the country won five. What’s more, he suffered immensely from the low turnout, and from artificial outrage kicked up by the mass media in the weeks leading up to the elections. And you should mention that the Front National is now France’s number one party, and that the far-right FPÖ is now polling distant first among under-30s in Austria.

Man Forces His Way Into Home, Terrorizes Family From Iraq

By Devon Armijo (www.koat.com)

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —A woman may have been the victim of a hate crime.

Police said the woman is from Iraq, and the man who beat her did because he thought she was a Muslim. She is actually Catholic.

The man forced his way into her family’s apartment off Montgomery Boulevard.

Investigators said he punched the woman in the faces while screaming, ‘I hate Muslims.’ He then stole cash and gold from the home, and ripped the family’s citizenship papers into pieces.

Police think the man targeted the family.

“This is a family that fled Iraq in 2007 because of religious persecution. This family is not Muslim. They’re Catholic and they fled because they were being tormented in their own county,” Officer Simon Drobik said.

The woman did not get a clear description of the man. Police think he may belong to an extremist group.

“This is a family that fled Iraq in 2007 because of religious persecution.” Ironic – in one place she is targeted because she is thought to be not Muslim enough and in another because she is thought to be too Muslim. Seems she cannot win!

Vladimir Putin’s Fifth Column in the West

Spencer's favorite leader, Vladimir Putin.

Spencer’s favorite leader, Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin’s fifth column in the West

DOUG SAUNDERS (Globe And Mail)

When Russian President Vladimir Putin uses military force to menace Ukraine’s democracy and seize chunks of its territory, when he uses authoritarian laws to crack down on homosexuals and minorities and imprison dissidents, there are those among us, including a record number of elected politicians, who cheer.

A generation ago, Moscow’s fans and enablers would have all been on the far left. Today, with the exception of a marginal group of leftists motivated by anti-Americanism, Mr. Putin’s cheerleaders are all conservatives – some in the United States and Canada, and a record number who have just come to power in Europe.

Last week’s European Parliament elections saw a record number of Putin-admiring and Putin-emulating parties elected to Brussels. Some of these parties are anti-European Union, some are anti-immigrant, some are outright racist and anti-Semitic. They don’t tend to get along with one another, but one thing that unites them is an outspoken admiration for Mr. Putin.

Nigel Farage, the leader of the suddenly powerful United Kingdom Independence Party, used a magazine interview during the campaign to praise the Russian President, calling him the world leader he most admires. “Compared with the kids who run foreign policy in this country, I’ve more respect for him than our lot,” he said at a public event.

In words widely reported in the Russian media, he added that the EU has “blood on its hands” for supporting the democracy movement in Ukraine. Rather than posing a threat to Europe, Mr. Farage said, Russia has fallen prey to Europe’s “activist, militarist and expansionist foreign policy.”

Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s National Front (which sent the lion’s share of French representatives to Brussels) is an even greater admirer. “I think he puts the interests of Russia and the Russian people first, so in this regard, I have the same amount of respect for him as for Ms. Merkel,” Ms. Le Pen said this week, adding that “a lot of things are said about Russia because for years it has been demonized on U.S. orders.” She, like her comrades across Europe, wants to end sanctions against Russia and restore “traditional, friendly” relations.

Geert Wilders, the mop-haired head of the Freedom Party in the Netherlands, has blamed the conflict in eastern Ukraine not on Russia but on “shameless Europhiles with their dreams of empire.” Ukraine’s democracy movement and the pro-European government it elected last week, he said, are run by “National Socialists, Jew-haters and other anti-democrats.” (In fact, extreme-right and anti-Semitic parties attracted about 2 per cent of the vote in the recent Ukrainian election.)

In the minds of such politicians, Europe’s response to Moscow’s incursions hasn’t been slow and mild; it’s been excessive. “We have always been told the European Union stands for peace,” Mr. Wilders said. “Now, we know better – the EU stands for war-mongering.”

These Westerners aren’t backing Mr. Putin out of pure Russophilia. Rather, they admire his embrace of a Christian and mono-ethnic identity for greater Russia, and his aggressive action against what they see as their enemies: European diversity and open borders, and minority groups – especially homosexuals and Muslims. Like them, Mr. Putin embraces the old conspiracy holding that Muslims are secretly plotting to take over Europe, a key plank for these parties.

That’s why North American right-wing anti-immigration activists, generally affiliated with the Republican Party and the right fringe of Canada’s Conservatives, have rushed to back Mr. Putin and the European parties that admire him.

American anti-Muslim activist Robert Spencer made a point of appearing on the Russia Today network (shortly after most of its American staff had quit and denounced it as a Kremlin propaganda outlet) to attack the United States and endorse Mr. Putin’s approach toward Muslim minorities. “Barack Obama is somebody who has been embarrassed on the world stage by Vladimir Putin more than once,” Mr. Spencer said.

And Ezra Levant, the right-wing pundit with Canada’s Sun Media, cheered France’s National Front, Britain’s UKIP and the other Putin-backing parties for their European election victories, praising their embrace of Putinist ideas: “The EU’s de facto abolition of borders … has let millions of migrants move from the poorer parts of the EU to the richer ones,” he explained, warning of “mass Islamic immigration that contains large elements refusing to accept Western, liberal values.”

Their victory is, he said, “a rejection of Obamaism, and a return to common sense, national conservatism. You could say it’s a bit of Stephen Harperism.”

To be fair, Mr. Harper has never endorsed such ideas. It is actually a bit of Vladimir Putinism.

You have hit the score so correctly and I could not refrain from not letting you know how correct you are on Crimea. Until 1954, Crimea was an integral part of Russia. Indeed, it was Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the entire Communist Empire then, meaning the ultimate boss of the Empire, who gave Crimea to Ukraine, while he was drunk. But the real motive behind Nikita’s generosity had to do with his roots which happened to be from the Ukraine region. This is a recorded historical fact; and I have felt that I should make this point clear to the interested readers. You may call me a ” fifth columnist ? ” if you wish; and I know I am not.

Uh oh, I hope I didn’t just tempt a bunch of people to completely waste their time again. That said, if you are looking for any excuse to distract yourself from doing something painfully practical, THIS mindless game is it — at least until you figure out how to rig it.

As for Nabeel Qureshi, I don’t see him as a leading Islamophobe, but more of just an evangelist for Christianity (perhaps I am wrong). I am not interested in confronting anyone just because of their personal choices or because they rejected Islam. I am just interested in taking down leading Islamophobes who are motivated by bigotry and greed ($), and who spread hate and falsely legitimize injustices.

    • Mehdi

So..hmm I don’t think I should ask this…but living with your mental condition and having a single-digit IQ…hmm oh well I suppose live and let live.

    • Chameleon_X

“Yes I agree!” That’s music to my ears. Thank you for agreeing so emphatically, and without any condition whatsoever.

But very soon you will be contradicting yourself, backtracking, making excuses, and adding conditions for why you now DISAGREE with your emphatic, unequivocal agreement. Impossible, you say? Not at all, based on my experience, because that is what ALL defenders and apologists for leading Islamophobes have done. After I humiliate their heroes by proving what cowards they truly are, apologists like you will suddenly transform the definition of “hero” into “flaming coward” – in other words, a “counter jihadist hero” and “scholar” who is too “busy” in his “scholarly” job of running from debate to engage any credible challenges whatsoever.

Now let’s start by running down the list. One of your heroes is David Wood – really? I severely humiliated him THREE times on Twitter (i.e., EVERY time he engaged me after I challenged him). And then he clucked and ran away by blocking me to avoid any further humiliation. The same happened with Zuhdi Jasser. I utterly destroyed his pathetic arguments TWICE, after which he ran from all of my challenges to his lies. He blocked me on both of his Twitter accounts because he could not tolerate my crushing, fact-driven annihilations of his propaganda. I also completely destroyed “Glen Roberts”, the owner of The Religion of Peace (TROP) web site, in a private email debate. After I took away all of his hate toys, he ran away from me too. That one was particularly delicious. I also proved him to be a flagrant liar, since he refused to correct his web site even after he was unequivocally proven wrong.

I also challenged most of the funders and promoters of Islamophobia too, like David Horowitz, Frank Gaffney, etc., but they NEVER debate anyone. They are too busy feeding at the Zionist lobby pig trough that funds them. Why would they EVER risk cutting off the hands of hate that provably feed them? Moreover, their knowledge of Islam is near non-existent. Their Zionist and Neocon. goals are overwhelmingly political. To them, promoting hatred of Islam is just a means to an end.

I even challenged (and continue to challenge) the Botox bimbo cheerleaders of hate, like Pamela Geller, Brigitte Gabriel, Ayan Hirsi Ali, etc., but they NEVER debate on any scholarly level whatsoever. They simply can’t. They’re just propaganda parrots, nothing more. Moreover, they’re way too chicken-shit to debate me. They run too. They ALL run.

Speaking of bimbos, I have also repeatedly challenged Bonni Benstock-Intall (on Loonwatch when she comments, AND on Twitter). She is the Zionist who owns the hate site Bare Naked Islam, but she refuses to debate ANY credible challengers as far as I can tell. Like everyone else, she runs from me, most likely because she is paid to by the same Zionist lobbyists who fund most organized Islamophobia. I could go on and on with more Islamophobe names, but I think you get the point.

I have even gone after the “House Muslims” like Maajid Nawaz and party-boy Anjem Choudary, who have proven ties to the British government. Maajid blocks anyone and everyone who challenges him to a serious debate, as he did me from almost the first tweet. And Choudary is a complete clown who engages virtually no Muslims seriously challenging him. I have challenged him many times with valid and scathing fact-based criticism, and he simply ignores me, like all the other preachers of hate and lies do. The Twitter timelines do not lie. They are proof that what I say is accurate with respect to the lack of scholarly engagement and debate by ALL of these Islamophobes vs. ALL credible challengers.

And then there’s Ali Sina, clearly another one of your heroes. He avoided me too, like all the others, but I knew he had one severe weakness that would do him in that most Islamophobes don’t have in such excess: pathological narcissism. I played on his narcissism and taunted him for weeks every day until he finally started to engage me. Then he FIRMLY agreed to debate me provided I read his trashy 420+ page book cover to cover. He even agreed to the four debate topics in advance, which were subtopics addressed by his book. So I read his book cover to cover, as he required. I made copious notes and highlights too along the way, since I predicted – quite correctly in hindsight – that he would try to back out of the debate by claiming I didn’t read his book. He did exactly that based on ZERO evidence, and the pathetic loser even demanded I take his rigged “quiz” to prove I read it!

What this fool was not counting on before the debate even began was my “review” of his book to pre-empt this exact exit strategy. He had no choice but to formally waive his final “quiz” requirement when he saw how thoroughly I had addressed his book. In other words, ALL debate conditions were met, and he formally agreed that they were met, including the “quiz”. But this was immediately before he started reading what I wrote. He just assumed it would be easy to rebut me, but then he discovered that he had no rebuttal whatsoever that could possibly win. He then danced for days around a silly argument that he couldn’t get the document in PDF format to load it into some silly “reader” app – even though the document was available 24/7 on the web, everyone else could easily download it in PDF format, and it was even sent to him directly via email!

Keep in mind that this was just my “warm-up” to our debate, and I generally avoided the four agreed debate topics in this document to keep it separate from the four debates. Nevertheless, after all was said and done, I completely eviscerated the core claims of his book, along with Ali Sina’s character, and a whole lot more. Moreover, it was exceedingly easy to do so! I whipped off 130+ content-rich pages (nearly 70k words!) in just over a month, mostly on weekends, crushing one claim after the next. I even quoted his book over 300 times! It was actually delightfully entertaining. Since you have clearly not seen it yet, here it is again:

      http://issuu.com/islamophobiadebunked/docs/alisinabookreview

Refute it if you can. But I have to warn you that not even one Islamophobe has dared to challenge my work yet, even though I have challenged MANY to do so. They all run when I confront them, as you will too, sooner or later. As for the proven coward and liar Ali Sina, he frankly and embarrassingly ADMITTED that he could only make it to PAGE FIVE before he decided to concede our debate! He is now my little Islamophobe pet. I OWN Ali Sina. I OWN your pathetic hero. Or let me explain it to you better, more in your own words: That bitch’s a$$ is on MY silver platter. Got it?

And just yesterday another Muslim was inspired by my work to finish his own debunking of Ali Sina’s book. It is also a very good effort, and covers many points I was not able to get to (I only covered less than half of my notes) or that I missed entirely:

      http://issuu.com/abdulmajeed8/docs/103

I encourage everyone to read this destruction of Ali Sina as well, as I have. Also, please give his review on Amazon (coming soon if it is not already there) an upvote so that Ali Sina’s followers cannot downvote his review into oblivion.

So now that Ali Sina has been thoroughly humiliated and owned, that leaves only about one credible Islamophobe “hero” left: the terrorist-linked Robert Spencer. You know, that guy whose web site you visit “every day”. I have lost count of how many times I have challenged him to debate me, nearly every day, and this chicken-shit coward runs from me too! Others, such as leading Muslims whom he has not yet blocked, various non-Muslims, those that support him, etc., have all delivered my challenge to him directly and publicly via Twitter and other means. However, in EVERY last case, he simply refuses to acknowledge my challenges (or even the tweets of those others he normally communicates with) because he knows that would definitively indict him as the flagrant coward that he truly is. If you don’t believe me, then why don’t you try to ask him why he runs from me, and why he avoids a credible scholarly challenge to his claims. Do it, and watch your “hero” whimper away like a sick puppy. And while you are at it, please ask the terrorist-linked Spencer why he falsely legitimizes 1) extreme hate and injustices with his claims and 2) the collective anti-Muslim hate that is the logical response to his claims.

So thank you very much for agreeing with me that your heroes are complete, spineless cowards and phony scholars. Any real scholar, as you emphatically confirmed, would seek out debate rather than run from all credible challenges to his or her claims. Time and time again, they ALL run from me.

Your heroes have been weighed. They have been measured. And every last one of them has been found wanting.

The Muslim Hunters At Fox News

Bob_Bergdahl

I was going to satirize the whole anti-Muslim fervor that has sprung up since Bob Bergdahl’s infamous invocation of the “bismillah” in the White House rose garden caused  Conservatives and Islamophobes everywhere to have a collective heart attack but Dean Obeidallah beat me to it.

There is some more interesting aspects to the story that I hope to cover but read and share this hilarious article.:

By Dean Obeidallah (The Daily Beast)

Bill O’Reilly isn’t just an awe-inspiring successful television host, he’s also “The Muslim Hunter.” His Islamadar is so strong he can instantly tell if a person is a Muslim.

We saw O’Reilly’s superhuman Muslim-hunting powers on display Wednesday night as he made the case for why Robert Bergdahl, the father of the POW released by the Taliban, was likely a Muslim. Sure, Bergdahl can claim all he wants that he’s a devout Presbyterian, but Bill won’t betaken in by that spin.

Instead, O’Reilly, in his typically insightful style that has made him the darling of angry, old white people across the country, stated: “The reason I said that Robert Bergdahl looks like a Muslim is because he looks like a Muslim.” Bingo! Journalism at its best!

Bill then graciously shared with us a glimpse into his Muslim identifying genius. He listed three O’Reilly factors that prove his theory about Bergdahl: “A) He absolutely looked like a Muslim. B) He talked in Pashto, the language of the Taliban. And C) He thanked Allah.”

Being a mere mortal who lacks O’Reilly’s keen Muslim hunting skills, I would’ve never realized that Bergdahl looked like a Muslim as he stood next to President Obama earlier this week at the White House. Bergdahl was dressed in a white dress shirt with a blue tie and sporting plain pocket khaki pants. Could this mean that every assistant manager at The Gap is a crypto-Muslim?

But then I saw what O’Reilly meant: Bergdahl has a beard! Yes, of course, how could I miss that?! Bergdahl hadn’t grown a beard like he told reporters in 2012 as a way to better understand the world his son was being held captive. Nope, he did it because he’s a Muslim. Apparently, the hipsters I see in Brooklyn are not trying to be cool, they are actually Muslims. And the Duck Dynasty dudes must be really, really devout Muslims.

O’Reilly, of course, nailed factor #2: Pashto is the “language of the Taliban.” Some would argue that Pashto is simply the language spoken by the 50 million plus Pashtuns who live in primarily in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Or that Bergdahl learned Pashto so he could make a direct plea to his son’s captors via YouTube videos to save his life.

And lastly, O’Reilly noted that Bergdahl thanked “Allah.” To be honest, that was a gimme. Everyone knows that if you thank “Allah,” you’re clearly a Muslim, including the thousands of Arab Christians who use the word Allah for God every day. It moments like these that make me realize that O’Reilly is very special.

But O’Reilly is not alone at Fox News in possessing super powers in understanding Muslims. There’s also Sean Hannity and Fox News contributor Allen West. Fox News is like the X-Men when it comes to Islam.

West, the former one term Republican Congressman, thankfully exposed Bergdahl’s nefarious Muslim plot which most of us would have missed. You see, while Bergdahl was standing next to Obama at the White House, he stated in Arabic: “In the name of God, most gracious, most compassionate.” So what, you ask? Don’t you get it?! As West noted, by saying those words, Bergdahl hasclaimed the White House for Islam!

Damn, that West is good. I have to admit being a Muslim myself, although I don’t sport a beard, West has figured out our greatest power. By simply saying those nine simple words we can magically claim anything for Islam, presto-chango. I do it all the time. Just yesterday I claimed a local deli, a small poodle and a Bed, Bath and Beyond. Plus we can claim people. In fact, boom, I just claimed Allen West for Islam—look forward to seeing him at the meetings.

Not to be out done, last night on Fox News, Sean Hannity showed off his Muslim explaining powers by claiming that these nine magic words are actually a, “war cry for Allah.” And then something horrible happened: one of Hannity’s guests said those words out loud and inadverntly claimed Fox News for Islam. Awkward.

The reality is that the phrase that has caused West’s and Hannity’s Islamadar to start flashing, is simply a blessing from the Koran. It’s similar to the Jewish blessing that begins “Baruch atah Adonai” that praises God or the opening lines of the Christian “Our Father.”

Now, what super Muslim sleuths Hannity and West must know, but for their own superhero reasons didn’t want to reveal, is that this Muslim blessing was likely first said in the White House in 1805 when Thomas Jefferson held the first Iftar, the meal that breaks the daily fast during Ramadan. And Iftar dinners have been an annual traditon at the White House starting with Bill Clinton and continuing every year in both George W. Bush and Obama’s administrations. That means the White House long been claimed for Islam!

Despite that, we should be thankful we have people protecting us like O’Reilly, West and Hannity. Without these Muslim-hunters, we would be left unable to identify Muslims amongst us or their magical powers.

2014 GOP gov’s race getting uglier: Donnelly website charges Kashkari supports Shariah law

Tim Donnelly is the Tea Party candidate in the California GOP gubernatorial race and so it’s not surprising that he would cite the vile fear-monger Gaffney.:

2014 GOP gov’s race getting uglier: Donnelly website charges Kashkari supports Shariah law

California Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly’s Facebook post highlights a story by an author who has been called “the anti-Muslim movement’s most paranoid propagandist” and claims Republican Neel Kashkari “supported the United States submitting to the Islamic, Shariah banking code in 2008 when he ran TARP.”

The Washington Times 2008 story posted on Donnelly’s Facebook page is written by conservative Frank J. Gaffney, whom the Southern Poverty Law Center has profiled as a virulent anti-Muslim who “has suggested that President Obama is a practicing Muslim.”Donnelly

The posting is just the latest evidence of an increasingly nasty campaign between two GOP gubernatorial candidates — Donnelly, the Tea Party darling and assemblyman from San Bernardino County, and Kashkari, the former deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary who administered the Troubled Asset Relief Program under the Bush and Obama administrations.

Kashkari, the son of Indian American immigrants, is Hindu — not Muslim.

From the Gaffney story:

“Thanks to the extraordinary authority conferred on Treasury since September, backed by the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), the department is now in a position to impose its embrace of Shariah on the U.S. financial sector. The nationalization of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Treasury’s purchase of – at last count – 17 banks and the ability to provide, or withhold, funds from its new slush-fund can translate into unprecedented coercive power.

Concerns in this regard are only heightened by the prominent role Assistant Treasury Secretary Neel Kashkari will be playing in “Islamic Finance 101.” Mr. Kashkari, the official charged with administering the TARP fund, will provide welcoming remarks to participants. Presumably, in the process, he will convey the enthusiasm about Shariah-Compliant Finance that appears to be the current party line at Treasury.

Donnelly, on his Facebook page, writes: “Shariah is “the seditious religio-political-legal code authoritative Islam seeks to impose worldwide under a global theocracy.” He adds: “This revelation is spreading fast, as people like Anita Gunn refer to Mr. Kashkari’s support of Shariah an ‘October Surprise.’ ”

Aaron McLear, a spokesman and strategist for Kashkari, said the submission by Gaffney on Donnelly’s page, along with what he characterized as the assemblyman’s past “vigilante” remarks about Mexicans, should raise concern among June primary voters about the effects of a Donnelly candidacy on Republicans nationwide.

He said the story cited is wrong. “The U.S. Treasury Department regularly invites delegates from around the world to Washington to advocate for free market principles,” McLear said. “The conference on Islamic finance was designed to explore how free market principles could work in Islamic countries. It had nothing to do with changing America’s legal or financial systems.”

Finally I can agree with something here. Donnelly is disingenuous here. He’s trying to confuse. From what I understand sharia banking is simply a non-interest Islamic complaint way to do business. It can’t be forced.

    • Tarig Musa

Sad thing is if the American economy followed Islamic financial principles then the country wouldn’t be drowning in debt, interest wouldn’t be draining money from the general population and the dollar wouldn’t be dying such a horrible death since it would have an actual value based on gold and silver, not Just pieces of paper used to transfer wealth in to the hands of a few bankers that run the privately owned fed and big banks!

They torn themselves apart a long time ago. They are not taken seriously by anyone and mocking them is now a national pastime. Fox news is seen as a news outlet for people with low IQs and the right-wing are on the defensive in practically all fronts.

They need serious reform if they want to even stay afloat, let alone gain votes from minorities and win an election. Maybe republicans like Kashkari and Rubio may turn the tide but it will be a uphill battle.

Allen West Pretty Sure Bowe Bergdahl’s Dad Made The White House A Mosque

WH-mosque

Allen West Pretty Sure Bowe Bergdahl’s Dad Made The White House A Mosque

By Doktor Zoom (Wonkette)

OMG you guys! Disgraced former torturer Allen West, super-patriot and Muslim-Hunter extraordinaire, has been tipped off to some earth-shattering proof of Muslim perfidy and scary creeping — or galloping! — sharia law! After spending the weekend calling Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl a “deserter” and hinting that there’s something “nefarious” about his release from the Taliban, and about Bergdahl’s father, Bob Bergdahl (who apparently doesn’t hate Muslims enough at all), West has revealed a “bombshell”: Bob Bergdahl spoke Arabic at the White House! Not only that, but he pretty much made the White House a holy Muslim shrine by doing that, according to a very smart person who emailed Allen West.

West says that he got an email from Clare Lopez, a “former CIA operations officer” who knows all sorts of stuff about Islam and the Middle East, and who is a personal friend of one Allen West. Lopez completely blows the lid off a huge cover-up, he says!

She emailed me this morning a very poignant analysis that only someone knowing language and Islam could ascertain. She wrote:

“What none of these media is reporting is that the father’s (SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob) first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th) – by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.”

Folks, there is a lot to this whole episode — like Benghazi — that we may never know. And this is not conspiracy theory, it is truth based upon Arabic and Islamic dogma and tradition.

Is America going to continue to let Barack Hussein Obama invite parents of rescued POWs to the White House and claim it for Islam? This is not a conspiracy theory, this is genuine honest-to-god disloyalty to America. Or maybe — and we’re going to go out on a limb here — it’s a routine phrase in Muslim Prayer that doesn’t actually have any magical power whatsoever, except perhaps the power to freak out wingnuts.

Get ready for a lot more of this idiocy, folks; somehow, the fact that Bowe Bergdahl’s dad is sympathetic to Muslims has also been Very Big with the Stupidest Man on the Internet. Here’s how terrifying Bob Bergdahl is: He said a phrase in Arabic, and then OBAMA HUGGED HIM! That just doesn’t wash off, you know.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. And while you’re at it, maybe you should buy some more guns.

I didn’t vote for him, and all the aforementioned were in even better shape before Bush showed up with his expensive, undeclared wars that no one wants, when gas was $1 a gallon. It would be absurd to try and say things would have been better if he weren’t president. For the most part, it doesn’t really matter who is in office, since things are still only progressing in one direction regardless. As I have already said, it’s just the same old song and dance, just with different players, whether the president is Bush, Obama or anyone else. They’re all figureheads and have as much say in what goes on as a hood ornament has in what goes on with the car its attached to.

    • BlkCon

Why do you need to do all of the gymnastics? What gas price did ya boy inherit? What percentage of working adults did he inherit? What base rate of inflation did he inherit? What average cost of perishables (food) did he inherit? How much of ObamaCare did he inherit? I don’t care about ideology. I care about hard numbers. All of the aforementioned were in better shape than when he put his grubby hands in there.

    • Awesome

Because neo-cons are all about “facts”… except of course when that facts don’t support their views. The right-wing loves to blame liberals, democrats, poor people, and minorities for everything, the left-wing loves to blame (neo)conservatives, republicans, independents and rich people for everything and the libertarians, survivalists, freethinkers and rugged individualists love to blame the government for everything. In the end, nothing changes. People are still people, and continue to do what people have always done for as long as they’ve been around.

    • Awesome

It would seem that Bowe Bergdahl is a cosmopolitan philanthropist who unfortunately didn’t have much foresight when he joined the military. Like so many other US soldiers, he became disillusioned with the war, after realizing that it is illegal, unjust and immoral.

Even if he deserted his post, it shouldn’t really matter too much, since Congress only ever authorized the use of military force in Afghanistan without ever officially declared war on the Taliban, “al-Qaida” or any other associated forces. Thus “treason” is not applicable (much to the chagrin of the bloodthirsty, war-mongering, xenophobic sociopaths), and at most, Bowe Bergdahl would be charged with desertion or being AWOL.

With the winding down of the unofficially-declared war in Afghanistan, the release of prisoners is inevitable. I guess this means that the US military and what’s left of the coalition forces have secured the opium production and distribution for the CIA’s off-the-books drug money to fund its off-the-books projects? It’s hard to imagine that they would occupy a country for over a decade and then leave without at least gaining something from it. When it comes to the government, nothing ever really changes. It’s just the same old song and dance, just with different players, whether the president is Bush, Obama or anyone else. They’re all figureheads and have as much say in what goes on as a hood ornament has in what goes on with the car its attached to.

Rabbi David Lapin’s Bizarre Rant About “Feminine Liberalism” and “Islamic Masculinity”

Daniel-Lapin

Daniel Lapin Discusses How ‘Feminine’ Liberals ‘Lay Themselves Down Before Masculine Strength’ Of Islam

(RightWingWatch)

On Sunday, the Religious Right movement’s favorite rabbi, Daniel Lapin, devoted a segment of his weekly radio show to “liberalism’s love affair with Islam,” part of a running theme among right-wing activists about a purported alliance between progressives and radical Islamists. Lapin said that unlike conservatism, “liberalism is incredibly feminine” and as a result “loves [the] hard masculinity” found in Islam.

“If there is one thing that Islam has proven itself to be, certainly in recent years and even longer ago than that, it is very masculine, it is violent, it is aggressive, it is dominating and it is very firm and very confident and very sure of itself, all of these very masculine characteristics,” Lapin said.

“I believe that liberalism is drawn to it, I think liberals want to be seduced by Islam, I think liberals lay themselves down before masculine strength,” he said, continuing with the sexual analogy. “There is a reason that it is biologically impossible for a woman to rape a man, it can’t be done. And I do believe that a good deal of liberalism’s supine nature with respect to Islam, liberalism’s docility in the face of Islam, has to do with a deep desire to yield to strength.”

Eurofascists on the March

TOPSHOTS-FRANCE-EU-VOTE-RESULTS

Not an untypical reaction in the looniverse to the rise of fascists and Neo-Nazis in Europe has been the rantings of BareNakedIslam, who can always be counted on to provide the unflitered, demented thoughts of racists and Islamophobes worldwide.

Today, what it means to be “European” for many Europeans is anti-Muslim and xenophobic, but then again for those who’ve been following Loonwatch the results of the elections aren’t surprising.

‘This is an earthquake’: The far-right rises as EU elections signal a massive shift across Europe

European voters have delivered “an earthquake,” says France’s prime minister, with the dramatic rise of right-wing, Euroskeptic parties. Partial returns from the 28-nation European Parliament elections show an unprecedented surge by Euroskeptics and outright anti-EU politicians. The results have sent national political party leaders scrambling with France’s ruling Socialist party holding a crisis meeting and Britain’s Conservatives rethinking their strategy for next year’s general election. “European politics will be different from today on,” said Doru Frantescu, policy director and co-founder of VoteWatch Europe, an independent Brussels-based organization.

So who were the big winners and losers?

The winners

FRANCE In France, the anti-EU, far-right National Front party led by Marine Le Pen got one in four votes, the best showing by any of the country’s parties. The Socialists were holding emergency meetings to discuss the results. The breakthrough dealt a further blow to President Francois Hollande, the least popular leader in France’s modern history. Proclaiming “politics of the French, for the French, with the French,” Ms. Le Pen said the election was a “humiliation” for Mr. Hollande.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras’s New Democracy party came second but the Nationalist Golden Dawn party, whose leader and five other lawmakers are in prison pending trial on charges of running a criminal organization, jumped to third place, with 9.4 percent of the vote. The result gives them three seats.

SPAIN Podemos, a new movement that grew out of street demonstrations against politicians and banks, won five seats.

The losers

HOLLAND Initial exit polls from the Netherlands showed a setback for Geert Wilders’s anti-EU Freedom Party, which may have come in fourth after targeting a first-place finish.

Germany Angela Merkel’s conservatives were the strongest force in Germany winning with 36% of the vote, but that was down from 42% in last year’s national election. The anti-euro Alternative for Germany party — which is only a year old — won about 7% of the vote. Ms. Merkel called the rise of the Euroskeptics “regrettable.”
