‘I’ll be last Muslim in CAR’

(BBC)

This spate of violence against Muslims started in December – they have been killing us with machetes and firearms. All the Muslims have taken refuge in one neighbourhood, known as Kilometre 5.

Muslims from other countries have already fled – take a look at my list: The Chadians have gone; the Cameroonians have gone; the Senegalese; the Nigeriens from Niger have gone; the Nigerians; the Malians have gone. Those that have been left behind are us, the Central Africans.

I was born and bred in Bangui – my father was a Central African, my mother was a Central African.

My family came to the capital in 1946, it was my parents’ generation that cleared the bush in Kilometre 5 and turned it into an urban dwelling area.

The anti-balaka vigilantes have been targeting us. They’ve burned most of the mosques in the capital, only a handful of mosques remain untouched in our neighbourhood.

I don’t want to leave Bangui, I want to be the last Central African Muslim to leave the country or at least the last Muslim to be buried here. This country is the last resting place of both my father and mother.

‘Too dangerous’

It’s fine if you are called John, Peter, Mary or Martin but things get ugly when you first name is Mohammed, Ousmane or Ibrahim – chances are you will end up in a hit list. This violence is waged by thugs calling themselves anti-balaka.

Bangui is losing its business community which is made up largely of Muslims – they’ve been ransacking Muslim shops.

Commodity prices have gone up, a bunch of salad will cost you 200 CFA Francs (40 cents; 25p) – twice as much as a little while ago. A bar of soap is worth 100 CFA Francs (20 cents; 13p), again twice as much as before.

Buying meat? Don’t even think about it, there is none. The Fulani and nomadic Chadians that used to drive their cattle to Bangui have decided to head for Cameroon because there’s too much violence here.

My wife and my children have left the country, it’s too dangerous for them to stay with me. Only the male members of the Muslim communities have decided to stay and protect their possessions.

We Muslims of the Central African Republic cannot leave our country. If they want to kill us in Kilometre 5, our neighbourhood, so be it – we have no weapons but are ready to accept our fate because we believe in God and we are confident that God will protect us.

We watch [the French troops] patrolling along the main streets of the city but they will not come into our neighbourhood to protect us. We are alive only by the grace of God.

The imam has not been named in order to protect his personal security.

  • Welcome to Bizarro Somalia.

But this will get worse for all, as Somalia had a standing grassroots kitacracy to support it even when weak. Here they are killing it on lthe muslim side, literally, and revolting against their own partner capable counterparts to destroy it on both sides.

In mankind the evil and the stupid tend to overwhelm the good and the sensible. Even though people know there is a better way.
“Video meliora proboque deteriora sequor” (I see the good and I approve of it but I follow evil.)

It ‘s just about robbery too. When they say your neighbor is fair game because of his religious and/or ethnic background, even ordinary law-abiding people are turned into a murderous, robbing, raping mob. Which can be dealt with only by feeding them lead at point-blank range.

Or they just look the other way, as the Serb inhabitants of Visegrad did when the very same thing described above was being done to the Muslims of Visegrad (about 60% before the war); and suddenly it was okay for the middle-aged Serb man who, to go to work had taken the same bus every morning his Muslim neighbor’s teenage daughter took to get to school, to fall upon her, rape her, keep her as her sex slave and slit her throat when he got bored/tired of her. For the Serb neighborhood friend to come and take at gunpoint the Muslim family’s car. We’ve seen it in Rwanda too when they broadcast “Kill the cockroaches” Bah, the Nazis had used the same epithet for the Jews, remember.
Then in 1945 they said “Never again.” The opposite is true. “Always again.” And then, when it’s too late, to justify their inaction they say “But…was it really genocide? We don’t think so. Ethnic cleansing, yes, bur genocide? Come on. There was only one genocide, the Holocaust. Anyone who says otherwise trivializes, denies the Holocaust, is a Nazi.”

So, carte blanche for all other and for all future genocidals.
Ah, but when it’s Muslims committing atrocities against non-Muslims, that of course IS genocide. The Armenian Genocide qualifies too (well in truth it was genocide; but the precedent genocide against Balkan Muslims by Serbs, Montenegrins, Greek and Bulgarians, does not count). What the Turks and the ustase/Nazis did to Serbs, is of course genocide too. Never mind there are many Serbs around today. But almost no Balkan Muslims except in 23% of Bosnia-Herzegovina. No more Spanish Muslims since 400 years this May. Soon, no more Rohingya. And all that what was and is being done to Muslims, well they got it coming, so they say.
Those fiends shoud be followed no matter where they go, and summarily shot. As for the people who looked the other way they have become guilty too. They too should not be spared.
And they will feed their children the same poison: how removing the Muslims was a “honorable struggle for freedom.” Their children will never question that.
Think of the most hideous pain a human being can inflict on another. Even THAT would be too good for such fiends.
Read Njegos’ “Mountain Wreath.” Everyting is explaied there: how the Muslim inhabitants of Motenegro offered peaceful coexistence: that the land was wide enough for both faihs. But the Prince-Bishop Vladika Danilo refused and in the end it says “No seeing eye, no tongue of Turk/Was left to tell the tale/We put them all unto the sword…”
THERE you have it. All their depravity. As had happened in Spain from 1492 to 1614. Written down in 1870. Made reality în 1941-45 and again in 1992-95, and unlike in Germany in the late 1960s their children do not question it nor turn away from it in disgust. Quite the contrary, they sing about doing it again. Only last summer, in Bratunac they, teenaged boys and girls, were dancing to a song with the line “Oj Sjenica, nova Srebrenica, Novi Pazaru, drugi Vukovaru.” Which means Sjenica [a town in the predominantly Muslim Sandzak region between Serbia and Montenegro] will be the new Srebrenica, and Novi Pazar [capital city of said region] will be the new Vukovar.
The survivors of the Visegrad Genocide had put up a memorial for their loved ones. What did the Serbs do? Deface it. Erase the word genocide from it. Kill the victims a second time.
    Need I say more?
And what do we see in Burma, what do we see in the Central African Republic? The same, the same. The bullies pouncing on those who can’t defend themselves. Disgusting.
Some evil bigot xenophobic fiends from abroad (like the half WASP/half Serb war propagandist who goes by the nick of Jacob R.; and he’s just a half-cetnik; imagine what a 100% cetnik is like; eurgh!) trying to exonerate the aggressor and in the bargain, mocking, taunting, insulting, humiliating the victims. Through denial murdering them a second time. Utterly disgusting.
These fiends have resigned from the human race and should not be dealt with different from the actual criminals. What they say no longer falls under freedom of expression but under glorification of war crimes and is therefore a criminal offense in itself.
Well, at least thanks to Jacob R. I now know what such a man as Ratko Mladic is like. And even one is one too many. They should cease to exist. Mladic deserves to die every single death he caused. One after another. And so do I feel that people like Jacob R., if they can’t be made to see how wrong the cause they defend is, should too be made to die every single death he approves of, one after another.

It is human to err, and it is of God to forgive. Such people have never ever asked for forgiveness. If they did, maybe He would forgive them. But people can never forgive. I can’t. I won’t.

Focus should also be on the leaders behind this anti-Muslim movement who through their propaganda turned this conflict into a anti-Muslim genocide.
