Rep. Peter King Claims Mosques Are ‘Incubators’ For Terrorism

Interesting that Rep. Peter King is saying this after he visited a mosque in an attempt to repair his Islamophobic image.

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) continued his pattern of inflammatory comments about Muslim Americans on Thursday, this time calling for greater “surveillance” of Muslim communities.

“We have to find out who the radicals are. We have to find out what’s going on in the mosques, which are often incubators of this type of terrorism,” King said on Newsmax TV’s “America’s Forum.”

The comments came after King responded to this week’s deadly shooting rampage at the Canadian Parliament. King said, “Anyone who thinks this is a coincidence is crazy. … Right now you have ISIS telling their people in Canada and the United States to carry out these attacks.”

The congressman argued that the U.S. “can have all the technology in the world. The fact is we have to find out what’s happening on the ground in these Muslim communities, and we can only do that through increased surveillance.”

This is hardly the first time King has made controversial remarks about Muslim communities. In 2011, King, who then chaired the House Homeland Security Committee, claimed that “over 80 percent of the mosques in this country are controlled by radical imams.” He began a series of investigative hearings to “examine radicalization within the Muslim-American community” in 2012. Critics deemed the controversial hearings “McCarthyism 2.0.”

    So?

Many of these “elders” are out of touch, and should be far away from leadership positions. Someone with King’s bigoted history should never have been invited to a masjid in the first place.

    Applauds for Gibbon.

Quite right. In the past, atheist were highly educated and very knowledgeable in religious matters and were often troubled by their disbelief and more often kept it hidden in a philosophical sort of way.
NOW…like bloody feminists they have become attention seeking morons…gahd is not there, ooo what a bold statement. He is so brave. Yeah ok.
Crying retards think they can be so cool by making demented statements.

reread first sentence for answer.Sectarian warfare in the Islamic world in the modern era was fueled by western meddling in the past it was political and material gains hid under a thin veneer of religon

    IRA never threatened USA.

Using your logic we should blame atheism for all those who killed not in Gods name.

  • jameyfan

    Most?! Really??

  • adc714

however you want to phrase it then…doesn’t change the outcome though, does it?

  • adc714

fair enough, but what about the countless muslims killed by other muslims?

Dang it, I’m not receiving all notifications again – or, I would have replied far more quickly.

Smart – nah, you know better.
    Lovely wife – total knock-out, drop-dead gorgeous (I brag).
Lovely children – yes, unless you’ve met them (joking).
Eyebrow – hey, I’m super hunky, leave me alone. 😉
Look down at others – never.
What did you do – opened my eyes to a different world.

    Wizard – if T-Khan says so . . . so it is!

all fueled by western meddling. 911 is a tragedy but pales in comparison to a million dead Iraqis. We will look at our extremism when you look at your illegal wars and imperialism that has claimed hundreds of millions of lives and is still ongoing.

Well…I can see the point about Margaret Thatcher…

“They don’t explain how or why Islam would supposedly make a person […]”

Not intellectually, that is not required in context, but does rather well on the street. Shifting crowds to the ‘Mob Mode’ of thinking is their modus operandi.

To bring out the ‘Pitch Forks n Torches’ seems to be their objective. Has happened at the government level already but too well sanitized, middle of the night small hours thing no ones sees…same way garbage is removed and redundant pets euthanized.

Nothing like burning down houses to get the blood running which seems to be the desire, the need to extrapolate any crime to Islam any which way they can is the method.

It is not my place to discuss strategy here, since most will not be qualified to understand that and then there is this Damocles thingy always hanging overhead–but with the little club here, with some good to superior contributors, intelligent ones too…yet preaching to the choir is meaningless useless, pointless, wasteful of talent.

Unless camaraderie and mutual ridicule, not education and self protection, is the objective of this Blog.

However I am not running the show here and best to zip up now than offend and have this post be sent into pending purgatory. Get barbed, further inflicted with uncalled for abuse, vulgar innuendo as bonus.

I have posted this here for you knowing that it will have to pass by you to go to the ‘trash bin’. And because you are the only one here, in my opinion qualified, I consider can appreciate what I have just stated. In fact may already know it in your mind.

Look here boi, you can take nay thing in the world have it tuned into sinister ways. Get that

  • 1DrM

A good slap in the face of the idiots in the Muslim community who thought this vile bigot changed his tune.

I understand that not everyone who was affiliated with the IRA blew up buildings, but it still does not change the fact that the IRA did some very bad stuff during the Troubles.
Im not Irish nor am I english so I wouldn’t know everything that happened there.

  • jameyfan

there’s a problem with muslim extremists; not Islam.
